Not told dh yet, but I thought it would be nice to arrange a little Mumsnet meet-up whilst I'm back. Also cause some people in that area couldn't make the Christmas London meet-up. So YorkieGirl, Amanda1, Janh, Tinker and others, do you fancy it or what?

Manchester would be better for me as I can get the train there. Although I could make Liverpool too, it just means getting 2 trains instead of one. So who else wants to come then?

who's taking their little ones? I'm taking dd

bosscatsroastingonanopenfire · 05/12/2005 18:08

not me

feastofsteven · 05/12/2005 20:20

Mistletoo at you taking your little one

bosscat - thanks very much for offer of lift. I may take you up on that - if I do is it OK if DS comes along for the ride - I can then palm him off on my mum (sorry give DS some quality time with his granny)

bosscatsroastingonanopenfire · 05/12/2005 21:17

yes of course would love to give you both a lift. I'm planning on parking in dh's manchester office car park which is near The Lowry hotel. We might have to walk a bit but don't fancy our chances of parking nearer.

maturer · 05/12/2005 22:46

Would love to come as regular trains to Manchester from Huddersfield, where I am- put me on the possible list as need see if dh will be here (working away a lot at the moment)to referee the kids. Not really an option to bring them as they are too old- 13,12 and 9- an nosey (would follow the adult conversations and have an opinion!)so depends on child care. Get back to you at the weekend when DH home.

Glitterygook · 05/12/2005 22:49

Not bringing children. Why it's the perfect excuse to escape for the afternoon!

gingerbear · 06/12/2005 00:35

Yorkiegirl, do you still want a lift? I will have DD with me as DH is working.

CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 06/12/2005 08:54

If some of you are bringing kids, do you want us to meet somewhere a bit more child-friendly or are you all ok with the arrangments so far? If anyone has other ideas please say so! It's an open forum!

fennel · 06/12/2005 11:00

Yorkiegirl i hope you are still coming. Dot1 and Juno and I were hoping to meet you. I can help entertain your dds if you bring them.

Janh · 06/12/2005 23:18

I can come! Just heard today that I can have the Sunday off so please move me from bottom list to top list

DD2 might come with me which would be nice.

CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 07/12/2005 10:55

Ok, here goes the new changes! 14 of us are definities, the biggest MN meet-up I've been on I think! Those with children, let me know if you think the venue unsuitable, we can always try somewhere a bit more child-friendly if you have any suggestions.......?

Glitterygook · 07/12/2005 20:39

All the people I know are really friendly MOM. JanH is lovely and so is Gingerbear and you will be made to feel welcome. Go on, I know it's scarey but you'll have a fab time!

Janh · 07/12/2005 20:40

I'm really pleased too, rhuby, it took ages for my "please can I have 3 hours off" form to come back and I was thinking they wouldn't let me - it'll be brill - now all we need is the man himself to turn up and lurk (lilibet reckons he's still lurking you know!)

Which reminds me, where is fairyfly?

Glitterygook · 07/12/2005 20:41

Are you on a tram line MOM?

Janh · 07/12/2005 20:44

OMG, scummy is coming? Are we worthy?

mumofmonsters, youmust come and meet the legendary ScummyMummy! There are lots of people coming I have never met before and I am dying to meet all of them, it'll be fab, please please do come (you could always come, lurk in a corner, check us all out and then decide whether to make yourself known or not...???)

GDG, you and your mummy are lovely too (I just wish JT would have the grace to look 6 months older than me instead of about 10 years younger!)

CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 07/12/2005 20:44

You reckon he still lurks? Urgh!
MOM I'm horrible but everyone else is nice, so just avoid me and you'll be ok!

OP posts:
ParrupupumScum · 07/12/2005 22:27

Shut up janh, you bananahead!
Please come MOM- I have it on extremely good authority that everyone is lovely (which is why I wanna go). Really want to meet everyone and see Manchester- haven't been there since I was v v v small. Am really hoping tinker will be able to make it too.

ParrupupumScum · 07/12/2005 22:28

Sorry- yes this is my xmas name Rhuby. And I have on extra extremely good authority that you're not horrible, btw!

fennel · 08/12/2005 11:29

MistleToo · 09/12/2005 23:17
