Meet-ups

When meeting up take sensible precautions. Meet in a public place and let others know where you are going.

CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell wants to meet YOU in MANCHESTER! You lucky lucky things!

Not told dh yet, but I thought it would be nice to arrange a little Mumsnet meet-up whilst I'm back. Also cause some people in that area couldn't make the Christmas London meet-up. So YorkieGirl, Amanda1, Janh, Tinker and others, do you fancy it or what?

Manchester would be better for me as I can get the train there. Although I could make Liverpool too, it just means getting 2 trains instead of one. So who else wants to come then?

I'll give you my scout sign

CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 01/12/2005 13:41

I'll put a card on the table with MN written on it in large letters - for latecomers. Ok?

WethreelittlebabiesOfOrientAre · 02/12/2005 23:26

I'd love to come, but might have to decide nearer the time, depending on babysitters etc if that's ok

CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 02/12/2005 23:29

Northerner - terribly terribly sorry old gal! Will put you on the next list!

Custy - does that mean you're a definite or wot?

Mumofmonsters - get the bleeding bus!

The other one whose name is very long, no probs just let us know!

WethreelittlebabiesOfOrientAre · 02/12/2005 23:43

Cliff, assume you mean me. Think I will have abandoned my new xmas name in all of 3 days... Will let you know asap

Tortington · 03/12/2005 00:22

yes deffo

CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 03/12/2005 13:54

COOL! Custy consider yourself on the definite list!
Northerner, you are on the maybe's until I hear otherwise.
Not that it matters that much, it's just a pub, you turn up if you can, you don't if you can't!

But now that Custy's coming you've all gotta come and meet her!

bosscatsroastingonanopenfire · 03/12/2005 19:11

I'm so pissed off. I told dh last night and he said "yeah go you'll have a laugh, I'll take the kids to the thing". then my monster in law phoned and said they might "pop down" that day (5 hour drive away) but won't confirm. Shall I just say well sod her and come anyway?

Tortington · 04/12/2005 00:16

yes f*ck her

CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 04/12/2005 08:25

Absolutely sod her! You've got prior arrangements! We got in first!

i am such a prat - i read the headline and thought cliff richard wanted to meet people in manchester, hehehe, thought he must be getting really desperate for people to like him!

CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 04/12/2005 10:55

I AM desperate for people to like me! Please like me! Then I can pretend to have lots of friends instead of just my imaginary ones!

gingerbear · 04/12/2005 12:14

I met Jools and Gobbledigook last night. They are not scary, quite tame really, but mellow after a few glasses of Blossom Hill.
(Yorkshire Christmas do - the one where Cliff didn't fancy the menu)

NomDePlumPudding · 04/12/2005 12:21

So which ones are they on the pics ?

Glitterygook · 04/12/2005 15:58

Who thought I was scary?! Nah, a pussycat!

JanH tells me custy is great so really looking forward to meeting you now!

Really looking forward to meeting everyone really - everyone I've met has been lovely. Gingerbear - Jools made a special point of telling me she thought you were lovely! Ahhhh!

CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 04/12/2005 18:35

I'm not lovely. I'm horrid!

OP posts:
cathyspamtaslittlehelper · 04/12/2005 21:42

i would love to come and meet you but i live in deepest darkest Scotland!

Glitterygook · 04/12/2005 22:38

You're right Cliff - just caught a glimpse of you on 'Top 20 Christmas Turkeys' on MTV singing 'Daddy's home' - jeez, you really went tooo far with that one!

NomDePlumPudding · 05/12/2005 10:15

I thought your version of the Lord's Prayer was genius.

bosscatsroastingonanopenfire · 05/12/2005 15:16

put me on the deffo list cliff. I have decided that it would be ridiculous to just sit in to see if the monster in law decides to visit. their trick is to call the night before to say they are "popping in", bearing in mind it is a 4-5 hour drive FFS. so if they do, dh will have to entertain them and I'll leave some M & S party food for them! Very much looking forward to meeting you all x
