Meet-ups

When meeting up take sensible precautions. Meet in a public place and let others know where you are going.

Not told dh yet, but I thought it would be nice to arrange a little Mumsnet meet-up whilst I'm back. Also cause some people in that area couldn't make the Christmas London meet-up. So YorkieGirl, Amanda1, Janh, Tinker and others, do you fancy it or what?

Manchester would be better for me as I can get the train there. Although I could make Liverpool too, it just means getting 2 trains instead of one. So who else wants to come then?

I was just reading about the london meet up and all the while this horrendous realisation was dawning;

northerner · 30/11/2005 09:05

NomDePlume · 30/11/2005 09:34

I need to check train times/costs as I wanna have a drinky so the car will be staying at home....

NomDePlume · 30/11/2005 09:36

whatt time would we be meeting/finishing up ? It's DH's work's doo the night before so I don;t really want to be getting up and on a smelly train at the crack of dawn.

Lizzylou · 30/11/2005 09:38

I am just north of Manchester and would have loved to come..but am in Midlands that weekend catching up with relatives...hope you all have a good time!

NomDePlume · 30/11/2005 09:42

Looking at the trains (3h 10m there and 2h 47m back minimum), I'm gonna be on the train longer than I'm going to be in the pub

dot1 · 30/11/2005 10:12

Put me and Juno on the list - I'll check with the boss tonight and see if we can farm the kids out somewhere!

NomDePlume · 30/11/2005 10:15

Just cleared the 18th with DH, hurrah ! I'm deffo on the list.

Gobbledigook · 30/11/2005 12:33

Hey cool, dying to meet NDP! In fact, loads of people on that list I'd like to meet.

NomDePlume · 30/11/2005 12:52
Grin
NomDePlume · 30/11/2005 12:55

I'll ask again, but a bit louder... WHAT TIME ARE WE MEETING ?

Gobbledigook · 30/11/2005 12:56

Cliff - start a new thread with time, date, place on it!

NomDePlume · 30/11/2005 12:58

Thanks GDG, at least someone is listening to me, eh ?

The only prob I might have is start & finish times, given that it's a Sunday and I live 100 miles away and have to get DD to nursery on the monday morning...

CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 30/11/2005 13:10

Sorry, but some of us have children to deal with you know! I can't be on here on the time!!!!!!!

SUNDAY 18TH DECEMBER AT MOON UNDER/OVER WATER? DEANSGATE AROUND 1PM IF THIS IS OK WITH EVERYONE.

Dot1 and Juno, I'll add you both to the list. Northerner, you can be a possibility then.

If you have children that is NO excuse not to come, I will double check at the pub but you CAN bring them with you. That is, if you want to, personally I want to get drunk so dh can blummin' well look after them!

Where are you coming from NDP?

OP posts:
NomDePlume · 30/11/2005 13:11

Worcester, which is about 40 mins south of Brum.

Afternoon is perfect for me.

CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 30/11/2005 13:11

Oh and it finishes when you want it to. You just kind of say, "I have to go now" and then you get up and you, err, go!

OP posts:
CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 30/11/2005 13:12

Yeah, that's a long way!

OP posts:
Gobbledigook · 30/11/2005 13:12

Thanks! Where is Moon Under Water? Oh, is it the one on Deansgate down the end near the Ramada hotel?

NomDePlume · 30/11/2005 13:12

Excellent. I'm leaving the kids in DH's capable hands for the day.

CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 30/11/2005 13:12

I take it you're only coming to see me then!

OP posts:
NomDePlume · 30/11/2005 13:13

Yes, GDG, it's a Wetherspoons.

CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 30/11/2005 13:13

Is it Moon under Water then? Deansgate yup, the big Wetherspoons pub.
Will be you wearing a Police Uniform GD?
