Not told dh yet, but I thought it would be nice to arrange a little Mumsnet meet-up whilst I'm back. Also cause some people in that area couldn't make the Christmas London meet-up. So YorkieGirl, Amanda1, Janh, Tinker and others, do you fancy it or what?

Manchester would be better for me as I can get the train there. Although I could make Liverpool too, it just means getting 2 trains instead of one. So who else wants to come then?

Not seeing my mum Christmas Day either, hoping I can get away with not seeing her at all!

We are leaving for England very early on Friday, so tomorrow will be the last day I can check on this thread - it will be difficult for me to get online once I'm back. Therefore I'll phone Mark Addy, check that they do food, are open, kids allowed, will not be too heaving, serve Guinness. If there are any drastic changes of plan Custy will let me know, otherwise I'll be there.

Cliff - I'll phone Mark Addy! Can't let you rack up a huge phone bill on this! Will report back later this morning.

feastofsteven · 14/12/2005 11:25

Mark Addy - they are expecting to be fairly busy but not jampacked

they do food

children's license until 7.30 p.m.

CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 14/12/2005 12:35

Brilliant! Thanks very much feastofsteven!

I still need to know who is definitely coming please. Can someone tell Dot1 and Juno to get in touch. I need confirmations now, if you don't confirm then I'll presume that you're not coming.

even thought you're being particulary horrible to moi I can tell you gobble deffo a NO as she has Duran Duran in the diary and much as she's being dying to meet custy Simon le Bon seems to have a stronger pull!

I have a reason not an excuse

when are you next in Angleterre? (didn't even see your caravan programme so I can't even hang on to those memories )

CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 15/12/2005 09:15

Where do you live Mistletoo?
I've no idea when we're back in England, we've been spending far too much money visiting relations so we might save it all now and let them do the visiting for a change. But then again, as we have to make our crucial decision this Christmas, we might be coming back for good early in the summer, I really don't know!

Anyway, told you I was horrible!

OComeOliveFaithfOil · 15/12/2005 09:21

Helllooooooooooooooooo, forgot all about this. Mark Addy eh? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, will have to print off the map, no idea where that is.

Should still be ok, baby was cooperating last night (hurrah) but we still have tons of shopping to do and I may be dragged round by dh on the Sunday so may only be able to bob in for a swift half.

Dh thinks I am an oddbod for wanting to meet up with anyone from an internet site!

CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 15/12/2005 09:40

Oliveoil, get the train to Salford Central and then head for the canal, it's about 2mins away.

OP posts:
Janh · 15/12/2005 10:04

DD2 can come with me, hooray - I wasn't sure which day she works at the weekend but luckily it's Saturday. We won't be there for 1 but will be there!

NomDePlumPudding · 15/12/2005 14:50

Cliffy . How very dare you !

I'm not coming I'm afraid, having weighed up the logistics (and cost) of it. Hopefully the next one will be at a 'better' time of year.

CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 15/12/2005 19:38

Rightyho, this will be my last message in all probablity (if the plane crashes tomorrow you'll all go "Ooh, how prophetic!")

I will get there for 1pm. I'll wait at the bar with a pint of Guinness or equivalent, and I'll wear a black mac so should be easy to spot. If I'm not there, just wait at the bar, there shouldn't be too many women hanging around the bar, it's usually a male domain. You could always buy me a pint of Guinness too (or equivalent) so that I can easily spot you (not that I'm trying to get a free pint you understand, but I have come all the way from France just for the meet-up you know!).

If we move to a table we'll pick one close to the door and I'll put a piece of card on it or something with "M N" written on it.

If your name is not on the list but you'd like to come, please do, it's not a restaurant or anything, nothing is booked, it's just a pub and I'll leave the M N on the table whilst we are there.

Look forward to meeting you all!

northerner · 15/12/2005 19:51

Oh I want to come but can't find anyone to have ds and dh is working......

CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 15/12/2005 20:12

You can bring kids!

OP posts:
northerner · 15/12/2005 20:13

I know, and if I was a bit closer I would but it's 2 hours there and back on a train. Don't think it's fair - he's only 3.

CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 15/12/2005 20:15

Never mind, perhaps someone will offer to babysit or something? If not then perhaps next time?

OP posts:
MerlinsBeard · 15/12/2005 20:18

sorry Blush have got a hugely sacry weekend and this would be just too scary to add to it

GingerBearingGifts · 15/12/2005 20:22

It never rains but it pours. DD is much better now (she is 3 years old btw, so not a baby any more), but DH has to have an operation on Friday to remove a mole - it is cancerous. So am waiting for outcome tomorrow before I make a decision as to come or not.

NomDePlumPudding · 15/12/2005 20:24

Oh, Ginge . I hope DH's op goes well and he makes a full and fast recovery. x

CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 15/12/2005 20:34

Aw! Hope it goes well!
