Morning all.

It seems that this Jubilee weekend has been more than a challenge for many of us. But it's over now! So let's all climb quickly back onto the LC wagon.

As ever, here's the link to the spreadsheet:

docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dopd9eo5zjJusx8VG1EmuO3YFxPPjEIR2qu-99L_W9g/edit#gid=1892381976

We have three weeks left, so still plenty of time. Certainly to undo the damage of the last few days!

If you have been struggling, or have cheated, why not go back to strict Bootcamp for a week (or two, or three)? Make sure you really are eating plenty of fat, drinking all the water and getting your carbs mainly from veg and salad.

Good luck to us all Flowers

I’ve swapped my planned steak for another salad tonight as I’m really not hungry enough. I’m freezing though so now drinking hot water and lemon to warm up.

IveNeverTriedThisBefore · 06/06/2022 19:13

Thanks for the feedback @BIWI. Ultimately I know I just need to give it time. Have just spent a lot of time this year trying to lose weight and got upset this morning at a gain. Can't do much else except carry on

pinknsparkly · 06/06/2022 19:52

@IveNeverTriedThisBefore - it's a tough position to be in. In the last bootcamp I didn't lose an ounce in 4 weeks.... Then I suddenly had another drop. As hard as it was to KOKO week after week with no change, something was obviously happening underneath the blubber to get the drop in the 5th week. Please do trust the WOE and stay the course!

BIWI · 06/06/2022 19:55

@IveNeverTriedThisBefore This is a picture of 1lb of fat. You've lost 8.5 of these!

That's an absolutely revolting picture @BIWI 😂 but definitely eye opening!

Lougle · 06/06/2022 20:32

B - yoghurt, 2 tsp double cream, 4 raspberries
L - salad leaves, tomatoes, olives, goats cheese
D - 99% beef burger with roasted courgette, leek, tomatoes, broccoli, with added butter.

Fluids: 2 X 750 ml plain water, 2 X 750 ml electrolyte water, 4 cups of tea (that's a reduction, promise!).

I've ordered a kilner jar drink dispenser so I can make up 3 litres of water with lemon pieces in it.

venusandmars · 06/06/2022 20:41

A pretty crap day food wise - difficult timings with a 6.30am start to take dgc to school, then a funeral. I ended up far too hungry at the wrong time at a wake with plates of sausage rolls, sandwiches and biscuits. You'll be glad to know I didn't eat any busicuits.

Then the problem is I come home and eat my planned dinner of chicken with creamy mushroom sauce, veg with butter. I really didn't need that too.

Tomorrow is anothe day... I'll be back with you all.

IveNeverTriedThisBefore · 06/06/2022 21:13

@BIWI that is a revolting but very motivating picture!

@pinknsparkly loving your phrase 'underneath the blubber' 🤣 regardless of weight, I will continue on with the WOE as everything I've read points to it having long term health benefits as well as weight loss. Just got a bit demotivated today

@Baystard thanks for getting back to me. I usually do 16:8, but mainly just during the week when its easier to stick to timings at work etc. I think I am going to look into fasting a bit more when I get to my desired weight and want to maintain

I'm sorry as I feel like I high-jacked the thread with my moaning today. Hope everyone else had a nice Monday

ZiggZagg · 06/06/2022 21:45

Just placemarking. Disappointed in myself this week, another 3lb on. But determined not to slope away from bootcamp. Will get back to it.

L was chicken sausages, eggs
D was Lamb ribs with fried tomatoes

Nearly got the water, 1l left!

BIWI · 06/06/2022 21:48

Not much veg though, @ZiggZagg !

I know, I know! Will try harder tomorrow, very busy day!Blush

Lougle · 06/06/2022 22:10

"I ended up far too hungry at the wrong time at a wake with plates of sausage rolls, sandwiches and biscuits. You'll be glad to know I didn't eat any busicuits."
@venusandmars that did make me laugh. We won't mention the sandwiches and sausage rolls.

I've managed 3 litres of water today and only 4 cups of tea. I'll try to stick to 2 cups of tea tomorrow (DH always makes me one as I wake up and I feel really loved. I always have a cuppa with my parents at 8 am when I visit them during the school run. It would make them sad not to).

I'll be up all night peeing now!

comfortablyfrumpy · 06/06/2022 23:20

In case this helps anyone . ..

Chocolate craving? I make hot chocolate using a good spoon of cocoa powder (the baking stuff, not drinking chocolate) in hot water, and a dollop of cream on top.

Feels really naughty but it is low carb - no carbs in the cocoa :)

comfortablyfrumpy · 06/06/2022 23:21

Oooh , and also Alidi do a nice 85% dark chocolate which comes as pack of 5 x 20g bars - each bar is 4.5g carb :)

Has anyone ever fasted longer than the 16hrs...

Usually eat at lunch and early evening

Two weeks ago, I had a seriously, really busy day at work where I literally didn't think about food all day and quite late into the night. I did drink my usual 3l water but otherwise didn't eat anything. Fell into bed and slept through til lunchtime the next day.

Felt good, not even unusually hungry.

That was usual fast from 19:00 to noon following day, plus 24hrs fast.

When I am less busy, as soon as I have a break, I immediately think of lunch. Not because I'm hungry but because I'm relaxed and keen for a break.

Seems as if hunger has very little to do when I want to eat.

Lougle · 07/06/2022 06:37

Well yesterday i drank 3l water and only 4 cups of tea. I was mindful of fat and added butter to my veg roasted in oil. Today I'm down to 142.4lb (64.6kg) (-0.9lb). It really is all about the water!

glamourousindierockandroll · 07/06/2022 08:24

Back on the wagon yesterday and looks like i'm back down a pound from my official weigh in, but need to up my water considerably, especially inspired by you @Lougle !

TheOnlyMrsW · 07/06/2022 08:28

Amazingly STS after a dreadful weekend - carbs not necessarily an issue but waaaay too much alcohol, although it did have the benefit that I couldn't eat at all yesterday as felt shocking!
Measurements have stayed the same though and I bought some shorts last week in size 14 which fit fairly comfortably so that's a definite win.
Very strict for the rest of this week in preparation for Download this weekend, the teen will be with us for the first time ever which means that there will be a lot less drinking involved but the food choices are mostly awful. The smaller pilot was pretty good last year but normally there's hardly anything low carb at all (plus it's all very last minute so the food vendors haven't been confirmed which means I can't plan!). We can't take food into the arena unless it's things like cereal bars, sealed packets of sweets etc........
Had plenty of water yesterday and two cups of herbal tea down so far this morning 😊

Livelongandprosper · 07/06/2022 10:19

Forgot to weigh first thing yesterday so had mine and the cat's weigh in this morning. I'm down 0.25 of a pound, Maya the cat is down by 0.7 of a pound. My target for next Monday is to lose more than the bloody cat Blush
I've always used sugar as a short term lift for fatigue and I'm still using it when I need to concentrate - I'm on medication with severe fatigue as a side effect. I'm so frustrated with myself and I'm glad you are all here on this thread because I am not going to give up.

Frenchpoodle · 07/06/2022 10:33

I love the cat updates @Livelongandprosper 😁
STS for a couple of weeks - probably too much wine and not enough water. Really going at it for the next few weeks.

Yesterdays food:
L: chicken salad
D: meatballs in tomato and pepper sauce with green beans and mozzarella
Snacks: pork crackling and cheese

Today:
L: chicken koftas, avocado, yoghurt dip and watercress
D: chard, spinach and chicory gratin with salad

Newlease · 07/06/2022 11:14

@Lougle Yeap. It’s all about water, a lesson learned hard way. In 2021 I think I went on LC about four months, but after initial loss nothing happened other than weight fluctuating every week- put it down to several reasons including TOM, but looking back, I was laid back with food, so eat whatever meat and veg is left rather than making for myself with added fat and never drank water other than coffee. 2 300ml cups of cream coffee was all I was drinking. I think @IveNeverTriedThisBefore also going through the same. And then I read about clean fast, and started drinking black coffee instead, when I started BC in Jan. still water intake was hit and miss.. after all those days of not eating any carb, my body fat didn’t budge, because they didn’t have medium to come out?? Not sure the science behind it, but from experience water is the most important factor in here.

saying that, yesterday was disastrous, all my plans went out of the windows when plumber came in to do the bathroom, no water or electricity in kitchen which means, didn’t even drink anything until 6pm. ( Lunch was bad as well, as we didn’t get a choice at late afternoon) but managed to drink 1800ml before sleep. And IF until 1:45 Yay!!! Pat on my back by myself :)

Lougle · 07/06/2022 11:29

Well done for overcoming, @Newlease

Mercedesbenz2022 · 07/06/2022 12:47

So after my birthday weekend I put 3 on yesterday , and today I have lost 2 of them , so koko and water
tbh I’m glad to be back on it

bella1426 · 07/06/2022 17:18

Hey everyone, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, yesterday wasn't great again. In my defence it was still the long weekend as we had the Monday off in Ireland so routine still out of whack. Got a trip away on Friday week so really knuckling down between now and then to see if I can make even a little bit of progress. Despite getting a positive covid test this morning feeling ok so sticking to food plan

Breakfast was boiled eggs with butter and coffee with cream
Wasn't super hungry in the afternoon so had some creamy coffee and Greek yogurt and cream
Dinner was a big salad with chicken breast, chorizo and mozarella

Drinking loads of water too, very thirsty...a covid thing?

IveNeverTriedThisBefore · 07/06/2022 19:18

Hi all, sorry to hear you are sick @bella1426 hope it doesn't cause any symptoms

L: totally forgot to take something out of the freezer / get something ready so needed up taking greek yoghurt with strawberries for lunch
Had 2 creamy coffees at work
D: lamb rendang (new recipe) with spinach and cauliflower rice
