Morning all!

here's the spreadsheet . If you haven't already seen it, check out the new info for veg/nuts/fruit that @AthelstaneTheUnready has added to it. Updated (and hopefully now the most accurate) data for all three categories, and all grouped into traffic light categories - green to eat freely (when allowed, in the case of nuts and fruit), amber to be more cautious about and red to avoid as much as possible.

If there's a particular ingredient that isn't on there, just let me know and I'll find the data for that and add it.

And now to week 4

A reminder that this week is also one where you're unlikely to see much loss - and possibly may see a gain. Just remember that THIS IS PERFECTLY NORMAL! Don't panic, but just KOKO and things should get moving again from next week.

Off to catch up with the end of last week's thread now. Hope everyone has an enjoyable bank holiday Monday Flowers

That would've been lovely Smile

I presume the answer was No after the eyebrow Wink

FinallyHere · 09/05/2021 17:33

noticing my Rolex and never hearing the end of it

Or just tell 'em you picked it up in HK for buttons.

Ah, just caught up with the thread and see that @nowlook got there first.

'80's flak ad works for me. 😀

nowlook · 09/05/2021 17:37

'Fraid so. Just like the time I wanted to get the DSs those beds that fold down from the wall so they would have more space to play. Now I reflect on it, my interior design ambitions have been consistently thwarted Grin

BIWI · 09/05/2021 17:37

@FusionChefGeoff

One of these type of things!

Today I have had
B: cup of tea
L: chicken breast, courgette, mushrooms, butter and cheese
D: roast chicken with cabbage and green beans.
2 cups of tea with milk and small amount of 70% dark chocolate.

Really hoping for a loss tomorrow! 🤞

FusionChefGeoff · 09/05/2021 18:37

@nowlook thank you - I did wonder about the leeks Smile. Pleased to report back the steaks were cooked beautifully and even my fussy youngest had a good go!!

I also decided to put me first and did a gorgeous Med veg which they needed to pick stuff out of rather than always doing 2/3 separate veggies which worked a treat.

Thrilled to add another easy, nutritious, family pleaser dish to my repertoire thanks to all at BC!!

Finishing off now with berries, creme fraiche and Greek yoghurt and a coffee.

Feel like I've been to a restaurant!!

cheeseisthebest · 09/05/2021 18:59

I would love a family boot camp recipe but with one vegan (husband) and two carb living children it's very tricky! Kids will eat my chicken and chorizo tray bake which I'm going to make this week.

BestIsWest · 09/05/2021 19:27

Lovely dinner today of chilli, home made guacamole and tzatziki,, celeriac wedges and a tiny bit of grated vintage cheddar.

Behind on the water though so had better get drinking.

Rayna37 · 09/05/2021 19:30

Made a chia pudding porridgey style thing with a few blueberries and almond butter for breakfast inspired by previous posters which I will definitely take as a portable breakfast for work.

Mushroom and cheshire cheese omelette for lunch. Bit of 90% Lindt.

Roast chicken, carrots broccoli and spring greens. Few crackers with a cheeseboard plus two small glasses of wine (wedding anniversary).

I can confirm truffle filled Brie from M&S is the best thing money can buy.

Jellycatspyjamas · 09/05/2021 19:42

Stress day with the kids today - particular highlight was my DD tipping a tub of slime over the sofa, cushions, rug, blanket and floor. Patience tested to its very limit. Food has been fine though,

B. Nothing
L. Omelette with cheese and mushrooms and salad
D. Taco style mince with lettuce leafs as wraps

Going to have a gin and slimline once they’re in bed. And breathe.

Moonswimmer · 09/05/2021 19:44

B: leftover stir fry
L: turkey and tomato salad
D: thai curry, with turkey, courgettes, fennel, carrot and onion.

W: not my worst day ever.

MIM: ummm

Stokey · 09/05/2021 20:20

@Jellycatspyjamas slime is hell on earth, what a nightmare.
@prettybird I knew someone who has a Japanese style bath which is small but very deep. May be an option if space is tight?

I had my most challenging day so far yesterday, at a friend's for a BBQ. Had to resist Bulger wheat salad, fruit salad with mango, ice cream and brownies. It was tough!
B: coconut flour pancakes with berries & yoghurt
L: olives, tomatoes, cucumber, a few slices of cheese
D: fish pie, spring greens, broccoli & asparagus.

Feeling quite full this evening, did no exercise today so am hoping it won't affect tomorrow's weigh in too much.

venusandmars · 09/05/2021 21:16

@Stokey exercise is great for all round health and wellbeing, but it contributes not a lot to weight loss. Don't worry about exercise (or lack of it)

BIWI · 09/05/2021 21:18

@venusandmars is quite right @Stokey! You have to do a lot of exercise for it to impact on your weight.

Hello I've been working and trying to catch up with everything I didn't do last week.

Today's food

B: prosciutto ham, salad, avocado cardini's dressing

L: Greek yoghurt

D: cheeseburger pie broccoli salad.

nowlook · 09/05/2021 22:00

Are you feeling any better @ElasticFirecracker?

FusionChefGeoff · 09/05/2021 22:03

@cheeseisthebest there was a vast quantity of normal mash for the carb lovers. DH would divorce me if there were no carbs on his plate.

And I guess your vegan DH could have had a lovely big plate of the Med veg with the celeriac and leek mash?!

@BestIsWest you'll be up all night if you hit the water in earnest at 7.30pm!!

I will be weighing tomorrow but after a big run I usually hold a tonne of water so will choose the best result from today and tomorrow and use that for the spreadsheet.

FinallyHere · 09/05/2021 22:03

Food, good point @ElasticFirecracker

My food for today was 3.5l water plus

L Greek salad, lamb chops, coffee

S devilled eggs, with Mayo and spices, some green leaves with French dressing.

Funnily enough my darling DH tried celeriac mash today for the first time and didn't like it! I love it.

Games evening here, and probably a late start for me tomorrow morning, so here's the week 5 chat thread

Morning everyone, I hope the scales / NSVs have been good for you all.

I am in the process of converting our holiday home into an AirBNB let, so I have been away most of last week and haven't kept up with the thread, but I am really pleased to see you back @ilovecherries, although so sorry to hear you have had a shit time.

It has been weird in a good way to be away working at the house. There are a mountain of tiny maintenance jobs to do, as well as conducting an audit of bedding / towels (sooo many towels needed). So I have been working to beyond 9.30pm pretty much most nights, and just eating when hungry. I won't try to pretend that I have been on track the whole time, but for me, it has been pretty good. I am stiff and sore from all the cleaning!

I also quite liked the fact that I hadn't seen or spoken to anyone in days and just listening to audio books. I got back home last night to tales of my teen DC taking chunks out of one another Hmm. So good to be home.

Anyway, back to normal this week, and back on the straight and narrow.

Hope you all have a good week peeps.
