This Bootcamp has gone crazy! I'm very hopeful that means that the results on the scales/with the tape measure etc will have been positive.

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

I love this week. For so many, it's a total vindication as well as complete reassurance that this WOE really works!

I hope, very much, that the scales are kind to you and look forward to hearing everyone's progress.

Well done everyone for their losses! I'm a daily weigher and as of last night I was actually a pound lighter which I had put back on this morning? I'm thinking it could be due to the fact I started with bootcamp principles on the 4th so this is my 3rd week?

Nevertheless still a loss overall and determined to carry on, this thread gives me so much motivation so thank you everyone!

Can't remember who it was asking about why you don't just stir fry with sesame oil: iirc, it has a very low smoke point, so the high temperature of stir frying is not good for it. That's why it's better mixed through at the end of cooking.

Razzlefrazzle · 25/01/2021 11:25

Two pounds down for me. TBH I am a little bit disappointed it's not more but I'm trying to focus on more than just the scales this time. I am definitely less bloated and my tummy has deflated a bit so I'm feeling better about myself which is good. I will be trying on my too small jeans later to see if they are a bit looser 🤞🏼

I found remembering to drink was harder over the weekend so much watch for that this week.

Ah that’s good to know although I can’t do proper stir fries now anyway (induction hob and don’t have a wok burner but might invest in one at some point). I do fry with it sometimes but only pan frying.
cheeseisthebest · 25/01/2021 11:31

I have RTFT but my poor tired brain doesn't understand this weight stuff you are talking about?!! I'm just dealing with lb as my scales are in pounds and its bluetooths to an app on my phone

Eggy18 · 25/01/2021 11:32

Thanks. I have been weighing myself every morning and have been seeing some loss every day. But I have gained just a bit since yesterday and I got very disappointed! Still a loss since I started though.
I think I will start weighing just once a week

cheeseisthebest · 25/01/2021 11:32

This is from 13th Jan to 20th Jan.

cheeseisthebest · 25/01/2021 11:33

Am using this instead of the spreadsheet really.

Eggy18 · 25/01/2021 11:36

Is that an app, @cheeseisthebest? Which one is it?

PineappleSunglasses · 25/01/2021 11:41

@cheeseisthebest I think they're talking about how some converters on the internet are wrong so the fact you arent converting anyway means you dont have to worry!
You must be pleased with that downward trajectory - very inspiring

itsmeagainagain · 25/01/2021 11:42

@DulcetMoans oh my goodness the weight thing!! I remember arguing it with my midwife because she said my baby was 8.11 but I had worked it out that she was 8,7 or something and I desperately wanted to be right but I wasn’t and I cried my eyes out because I had a fat baby and that meant I was fat 😂 I can laugh now thank goodness!

BIWI · 25/01/2021 11:47

@LittleMy77

I’m finding it interesting to see where my cravings are. I must say these two weeks are killing me at breakfast as I’m done with eggs and smoked salmon! Looking forward to a bit more variety post week two and I’ve stocked up on almond flour already for imitation scone / bread

Nobody says you have to eat eggs and smoked salmon for breakfast! You could eat anything you like.

@Eggy18

You can weigh as often as you like - daily weighing keeps me focused and on track. The day I decide not weigh is the day I know I cheated the day before! That said, if you're going to weigh every day you do have to be prepared for the scales to go up occasionally, even if you haven't cheated. This is quite normal.

How tall are you @cheeseisthebest?

OP posts:
DulcetMoans · 25/01/2021 11:52

@cheeseisthebest yeah, it is online converters. US measurements are different too. I think so long as what you use is consistent then it won't matter really. You are tracking from the same place. I have old school scales so had to look convert the stones to pounds.

@itsmeagainagain haha. Glad you can laugh about it now. My first was 10lb 1oz so I was surprised he was smaller instead! haha. It's cos they give it in kg so again, went to converter and it came up as 8ln 7oz but when I went to HV she worked it out at 8lb 11oz. I don't understand it all!

itsmeagainagain · 25/01/2021 11:56

@DulcetMoans wow what a whopper! It’s funny isn’t it as my ‘big’ baby is a very dainty 6 year old and actually very much on the smaller side but at the time I took it was a personal insult! Me? Touchy about my weight?? How very dare you!! 😂

BrassicaBabe · 25/01/2021 12:12

@cheeseisthebest

I feel a bit disheartened today.
Your graph above looks fab though! 🥳
nowlook · 25/01/2021 12:20

@DulcetMoans two ten-pounders here! Fortunately extracted through the sunroof Wink

I put a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce on bacon in lieu of brown sauce. Not quite the same though.

Lots of lovely losses! Hope the week 3 and 4ers are seeing NSVs even if the scales are not behaving.

I went for my walk and decided to not work today. I've nearly finished DS1's homework Hmm. He had a brief to take 8 photos and the snaps from said walk fit the bill. He remains in his cave. It's dramatic in Derbyshire today!

2.5lbs for me which I'm pleased with. Well done everyone!

My 4.08kg (8lb 15oz) baby is now a very slim 5'7" 20 year old young man who is desperately trying to put weight on and bulk up! Grin

Paisleycountry1985 · 25/01/2021 12:26

WOW! I have 25 pages to read to catch up.

I have lost an astounding 10lbs!

So happy to have followed the rules this time and it has paid off.

Have been eating eggs or FF greek yoghurt/double cream for breakfast
Lunches have been Tuna/eggs/cornbeef with lettuce/cucumber/tomatoes/mayo/butter
Dinners have been beef/chicken/ham with cabbage&leek/shoogley brussell sprouts/roasted courgette lots of butter and garlic.

Lots and lots of water - actually crave water now!
Peppermint teas and couple of normal teas with little bit of milk.

Family wanted Chinese last night so I ordered beef & mushroom. Drained all the juice/liquid and had it with cauliflower rice. Was really nice. Did have to have a peppermint tea afterwards as stomach wasn't really happy and won't be indulging for a while now.

Hubby now so impressed with weightloss that he is jumping on the LCHF train.

Frty · 25/01/2021 12:28

Morning All!
2lbs down here which, considering I still can't really walk, I'm happy with. More importantly, I don't feel deprived and think I can go on like this no problem.

LittleMy77 · 25/01/2021 12:32

@BIWI I know! I haven’t found anything else atm apart from mushrooms that I fancy first thing in the morning

(In non BC times I’d usually go for a slice of toast and cheese)

pinkpinkeverywhere · 25/01/2021 12:36

Thank you @BIWI I am thrilled with my 11lbs, can't quite believe it, it really does work! No cheating (not even a Gin) and really trying with the water. Unfortunately my work laptop crashed and died so I've had a very annoying trip into work this morning to try and get it fixed. Really now what I needed in this weather and when I'm so overwhelmed with work as it is, but if I can stay strong with all this rubbish and not hit the carbs then I'm doing well!
Well done to everyone with all the losses!

pinkpinkeverywhere · 25/01/2021 12:37

Forgot to say, my coat wasn't tight when I put it on this morning to trudge through the snow Grin

Have mushroom then! A big pile of them fried in butter, on a bed of watercress, spinach or similar. Yum!

Oneborneverydecade · 25/01/2021 12:40

@Paisleycountry1985 that's fantastic, well done

My 6.5ft 14yo son was 6lb 10 and my normal height (but slightly plump) 9yo was 10lb 10. TMI but I blame him for even super plus extra tampons falling out 😳
