This Bootcamp has gone crazy! I'm very hopeful that means that the results on the scales/with the tape measure etc will have been positive.

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

I love this week. For so many, it's a total vindication as well as complete reassurance that this WOE really works!

I hope, very much, that the scales are kind to you and look forward to hearing everyone's progress.

Wow! @pinkpinkeverywhere and @justcallmecaptainobvious - fantastic losses - 11lbs and 9.4lbs - I'm surprised you haven't burst on to the thread shouting and singing!!! Really good going. Flowers

3 off for me I will take that with pleasure!
Need to up the water today I didn’t hit my target yesterday as I forgot to bring my bottle downstairs and I can definitely tell.
I have salmon in the fridge so might take after you @plumstone and go for a salmon salad combo tonight!

MrsHuntGeneNotJeremyObviously · 25/01/2021 08:25

Good morning everyone and best of luck to those who haven't weighed yet.
I'm 5.5 lbs down, which I'm obviously thrilled about. Was very tempted last night to have a Jack Daniel's with DH - glad I resisted now!

Justcallmecaptainobvious · 25/01/2021 08:27

@BIWI you beat me to it! I’m a wooshy first week person though, I know well that my mental block comes at the stone waypoints - I’ve lost 1 stone countless times and 2 stones twice. Need to keep on going!

This morning I’m hoping Tesco are intrepid enough to get down our snowy and ungritted road... if so the plan is:
B - eggs and butter
L - tuna mayo salad
D - garlic butter prawns, buttery veg

nowlook · 25/01/2021 08:33

@Justcallmecaptainobvious
Amazing! Star
I do the same, which is why I'm trying to do this BC all the way through with a tape measure and no scales. Am going to weigh right at the end Grin

Just picking up on some posts from the last thread:

@Bestbees with a stir-fry, make sure you start with plenty of flavourless oil in your wok - and then when it's done, dress it on your plate with a good drizzle of sesame oil. That will add fat but also flavour

@Doilooklikeatourist

If you're getting restless legs I believe this means you need magnesium - so a sign that your electrolyte balance is out of whack.

And picking up on the 'not going' comment! Don't worry if (at least to start with) you're not going to the loo as frequently as you're used to. This isn't constipation - that is when it's painful and difficult to go - but should resolve itself shortly. Just keep the water level up as well as making sure you're eating plenty of fat and that your carbs are coming from plenty of vegetables and salad.

The can'tbearsed was what ultimately led to me deciding to retire @nowlook! But that's probably not very helpful if you're not near retirement age Grin

I know what you mean though. And if you're WFH and not in your normal working environment (I don't know what your situation is though, obviously - I'm not spying on you through my webcam Wink - it must be hard without the social element too.

Can you take a day or two off? Would that help, or just make things worse? Sometimes the only cure, I found, was to just get on with it and 'dig deep' to get through it. Sometimes it's the thinking about it that's worse than the doing it!

Well done everyone!
No loss for me. Last Monday I was 10st 5 now I'm I'm 10st 6, but have been low carbing since beginning of Jan so hoping this is a week 3/4 plateau!

ListenLinda · 25/01/2021 08:42

Uh oh... just realised my period is due Sunday 1st and usually lasts a week. It will be during week 3, which i know may not result in a loss anyway but i’m going to try not let the lbs go up...
Water water and more water right? And hope for the best 😂 does anyone still manage to lose anyway during period week?

cheeseisthebest · 25/01/2021 08:42

Listenlinda I didnt last week, I'm always hungrier then too anyway!!

BIWI · 25/01/2021 08:48

@pinksubscriber - you haven't entered your weight for 18/1, so your figures aren't correct on the spreadsheet!

OP posts:
BIWI · 25/01/2021 08:49

@ListenLinda I think everyone is different. But yes, keep up the water - which you should be doing anyway! You've had a great loss this week, so it's obviously working for you, so just KOKO and you'll be fine.

Morning! Five pounds off! (Although I blurted that on the last thread).

Forgetful DH brought me a latte in bed yesterday morning, which I drank. (I self-flagellated with a hastily improvised Big Stick afterwards to save you the trouble BIWI).

Result: a pound on this morning.

Lesson learned!

Still very happy though.

Also, very alert with no morning brain fog!

Congratulations to all the losers Star

Justcallmecaptainobvious · 25/01/2021 08:49

@nowlook that’s a good way of doing it. I normally find my weight changes more quickly than my tape measure but I might give that a go if I start getting a mental block on the numbers.

Cactusowl · 25/01/2021 08:52

Week 3 for me and I’ve lost 4.8lbs, more than week 1 and 2 combined!

Oneborneverydecade · 25/01/2021 08:53

@ListenLinda I'm sure I have despite being more hungry but mine doesn't last a full week. I doubt whether you'll gain

I'm down 1lb which is fine, I think I've lost about 4/5lb since last bootcamp which is not bad going. 9 weeks and 11. 5lb is my target

Well done everyone!

gillyweed · 25/01/2021 08:55

I've put on 0.02lbs, which in the grand scheme of things is nothing but I'm gutted as midweek weigh ins showed up to 3lbs lost! It's more like my 2nd or 3rd week back on it after crimbo so got to remember that.

I also had a lot of cream yesterday (coffees, mixed with raspberries and then cauliflower cheese) I'm wondering if all the dairy is affecting me. I also did lots of heavy digging In the garden yesterday so I suppose it could be that.

I'm still determined and drinking around 4 litres of water a day. Well done on all the losses!

Ninkanink · 25/01/2021 08:56

Morning everyone and happy week 2!!🌸🌼🌺

I’ve stayed the same at 72.8, but I made the decision not to follow bc strictly this past week as I was having a particularly rebellious week and I know from past experience that I’m much better off relaxing a little and starting again when I’m in the right headspace - otherwise it very quickly ends up being counterproductive. So I’m starting afresh this week and will be properly on it!

Have had a coffee this morning and will have another in a minute, with cream. Lunch is going to be egg & tuna kimbap (without the rice), and dinner is chipotle chicken wings with lime and coriander yoghurt dip and a big salad plus some guacamole if I can find a ripe avocado.

CowGurl · 25/01/2021 08:59

I've just finished my second week of bootcamp - started early - and have stayed the same. Happy with this as period is due.

Loving the chat! My hubby is loving this food too, especially the moussaka and super cheesy creamy cauliflower cheese. He's doing 2 to 3 fast days a week though so that should help balance out the sugar, fat, carbs and alcohol that he eats on the others!

Belated congrats to ZigZag (I think) on the job.

nowlook · 25/01/2021 09:01

@BIWI I'm 42. Is that close enough? Grin

I work from home (self-employed lawyer, specialise in food and beverage mergers), but the rest of the house doesn't usually. I miss going to see clients. I think I need to go for a walk and then pull my socks up. It's a problem when you can't even be fagged to invoice.

Thanks for the advice Thanks

lurknolinger · 25/01/2021 09:02

Morning all, 1.8lbs off for me, which I'm really pleased with as this was week 3 for me (I started in the 4th Jan). It's dropped me in to a new stone bracket 11.13 but the scales have flipped flopped all week between 11.13 and 12.1 so my target for this week is to make it stick not go back up into the 12's!

Interesting chat about getting stuck at the stone weigh points - it's something that happens with me too. I wonder if it's a bit of self sabotage, as being 11 stone something feels doable for me, but despite my healthy BMI weight being 10.13, I just can't see myself ever getting there so maybe subconsciously I'm accepting to stay in the 11 stone bracket. Not sure if that's really what going on, but I'll give it some more thought.
Well done for all the losses everyone. And for anyone that hasn't just KOKO and keep the faith, the loss will show up eventually.

ListenLinda · 25/01/2021 09:04

Thanks @BIWI Grin

I don’t think I’ve ever drunk this much water in my life, I usually just drink coffee all day with the odd diluted squash at random points Smile

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 25/01/2021 09:12

STS. Those last couple of Christmas pounds do not want to shift! Angry

potas · 25/01/2021 09:21

I did the bootcamp last autumn and really struggled. Although I lost a few pounds my weight was very up and down.
Restarted on the first of January and the difference is amazing.
I think this time I am much more strict and have cut down on diet coke aswell (I didnt realise sweeteners were to be avoided last time).
I've also done a 16/8 fast to stop me snacking on the wrong foods for breakfast. Now think of it as an early lunch.
When people spoke about not feeling hungry and about how sometimes the weight loss stops but just keep on keeping on and it will suddenly drop I just couldn't relate before but that's where I am at the moment.
So my advice for anyone is be strict and keep being strict and it will work and be worth it!

cheeseisthebest · 25/01/2021 09:26

I feel a bit disheartened today.
