This is the full list of those who have signed up. Hopefully you're all on The Spreadsheet of Fabulousness (unless you said you didn't want to be!

Remember, weighing in tomorrow is not part of this week, although if you want to, you can put your weight in the 'original start date/weight' columns

Thanks must go, as always, to the very lovely @AthelstaneTheUnready for setting up the spreadsheet. You'll see this time that we've amended it slightly so that you can record loss for this Bootcamp as well as since you started, for those of you who started earlier.

If your name isn't on the spreadsheet, don't panic! Just add it to the bottom of the list. Don't try to insert it in the right alphabetical place - Athelstane will do that later.

If you are on the spreadsheet, but don't want to be, send me or Athelstane a PM and we'll remove you.

Whatever you do, don't touch the blue cells!

If you're using a mobile to access the spreadsheet, you'll need to download the Google Sheets app.

I'm aiming for around 30g carbs a day. Tbh, I tried keto but it was just too restrictive and requred me to eat too much fat! LCHF works so much better!

Ooh stomach is rumbling. Time for cheese...

MilesJuppIsMyBitch · 11/01/2021 16:11

Good afternoon. It gave me a nice warm feeling coming onto this thread just now. I feel very positive about this, and it's helpful to hear from others who've been doing it for a while.

Today's has been fine. I'm on the ol' dry January slog as well, but - although I always struggle at first - I do feel much calmer and more clear-headed.

I had yoghurt with dried cranberries, seeds and nuts for brek (I'll miss that next week), hard-boiled eggs with salad, salt and sour cream for lunch, a cheese and apple snack, and I'm having puttanesca with cauliflower rice and grated cheese for dinner.

Had two litres of water, and feeling good.

💪

@ShagMeRiggins

That’s a shame. There was something peculiarly pleasing about having a Christ and a Cis Hmm in the same group.
CisMyARSE actually Wink
NelAntarctic · 11/01/2021 16:21

Just catching up @ChristMyArse. You've made me laugh out loud. The cats are Hmm

I don't mind changing. Quite fancied a change anyway.

NelAntarctic · 11/01/2021 16:23

Actually, I know this may sound stupid, but will antibiotics affect ketosis? Have a whopper of a abscess Sad

Oneborneverydecade · 11/01/2021 16:28

@GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal I've just seen your photo on AIBU and twit twoo!

I'm curious about how you dealt with your tummy muscle separation please

No idea - but take the antibiotics! dealing with an abscess is more important!

Good news is that (live) full fat Greek yoghurt is good for repopulating the flora and fauna of your gut that could be affected by the antibiotics. Smile

Why thank you very much!

Not going to lie, it took 9 months of twice-weekly physio, plus daily exercises (which I still do, though not daily). It was worth it though, as I've gone from looking permanently pregnant to a (mostly) flat stomach.

LostaraYil · 11/01/2021 17:53

Not a good start today, my weight was up by nearly 1kg from yesterday for no apparent reason. I had a coffee with cream in the morning because I was feeling sorry for myself and then I've felt like eating something every time I've been near the kitchen. Still lowish carb, e.g a bit of cheese or a few blueberries but it's annoying because I've managed a week with barely any snacks! I'm sticking to black coffee in the morning from tomorrow and hopefully I will feel less peckish.

GrandOldDukeOfPorkiness · 11/01/2021 18:24

Today has been a day of much weeing. Have got rid of a fair few carby bits from the cupboards too.

BrassicaBabe · 11/01/2021 18:27

Day 11 of sodding dry January.
B: none (long time LCer)
L: pork scratchings (yeah, yeah, I know)
D; cheeseburger pie as mentioned on the last thread abs buttered savoy

Probably a Greek yoghurt later.

Milestone #1: shift the 7lb of Christmas weight to get back to Christmas Eve weight
Milestone #2: shift further 7lb to get back to goal weight.

Grin

you're as grouchy as I am about it Grin

The cognitive dissonance is doing my head in: "hoo-rucking-rah I'm feeling really sodding healthy and fecking calm". Grin

AthelstaneTheUnready · 11/01/2021 18:38

B: none (meant to, but emergency oil situation happened)
L: goose and veg soup
D: beef curry with extra coconut cream, which thinking about, may be the 'wrong' coconut product

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 11/01/2021 18:42

I'm becoming obsessed with cauliflower, I never used to like it but there are so many ways to cook it! Had this for dinner (with the chorizo but minus the drizzle of honey) with slow roast pork and it was bloody delicious:

www.abelandcole.co.uk/recipes/honey-i-spiced-the-cauliflower

Breakfast was a slice of low-carb toast with butter and almond butter and a creamy coffee.

Lunch was buttery scrambled eggs with sautéed spinach and a bit of smoked salmon.

Mid-afternoon I finished off a few spoonfuls of Greek yoghurt with a few raspberries.

Had 2.5 litres of water, 500ml to go.

Pandoraslastchance · 11/01/2021 18:46

B-none as home educating Sad
L-pork chops with spring greens fried in butter
T-Butter chicken and remaining spring greens

4 pints of sugar free squash so far today.

StuntNun · 11/01/2021 19:02

Athelstane coconut cream is fine; just check the carb count as different brands vary.

NelAntarctic the antibiotics won't affect ketosis. It might be an idea to take a prebiotic once you've finished the course of antibiotics to keep your gut health in good shape.

ChristMyArse · 11/01/2021 19:05

Evening all.

Only managed 2 meals today as time was not my friend this morning. Before a stick is brandished it will be a one off Grin

Brunch if you will - bacon with avocado and baby cucumbers
D- black farmer sausages with cabbage and spinach cooked in butter.

4ltrs of water and much, much weeing.

AthelstaneTheUnready · 11/01/2021 19:06

Stunt, it's not looking good. 21.9, or 7.3 of which sugars, per 100g and I had 50g's worth.

Also, upon checking, it was out of date in February last year, so farewell, and it was lovely knowing you all. Flowers

BrassicaBabe · 11/01/2021 19:07

@AthelstaneTheUnready I had 6 nights of DJ night sweats. Six Shock I mean, yes I was/am a heavy drinker in that usual middle class mummy wine o'clock kind of way. Not a vodka bottle under the bed kind of way HmmHmm

@GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal I like cauli simply sliced, drizzled in oil and roasted. Beats the pants off of boiled.

Almahart · 11/01/2021 19:12

Another cauliflower lover here. A go to for me is grated cauliflower fried with whatever spices I fancy with an egg mixed into it. Fab stodge.

MilesJuppIsMyBitch · 11/01/2021 19:26

All finished eating for the day.

What I WANT is a nice glass of something & some chocolate.

So I'm going to do a Calm meditation in the bath.

Yeah, cos that's the same.

Lyrata · 11/01/2021 19:30

I’m also a cauliflower devotee. I found this recipe the other day which I’m very curious about. Slow cooked cauliflower with yogurt. Has anyone happened to try this? www.rivercottage.net/recipes/slow-cooked-cauliflower-with-yoghurt

Definitelymaybeee · 11/01/2021 19:32

Evening, so excited to be starting this with you all but it's been a slow start for me. All of the success stories are so motivating and almost make me believe that I'll be able to stop the emotional binges and find a way of not feeling hungry between meals....if there are any veggies out there, I'd love to hear how you manage to avoid the hunger pangs without eating your weight in eggs every day!

Howdidthathappen1 · 11/01/2021 19:42

Not read through whole thread but I've spent the last week practicing lc whilst eating all the Xmas leftover crap which is safely now gone!
So I made what I thought would be a good soup today - leek, white cabbage, a head of broccoli and a bag of spinach with a dollop of cream cheese and large handful of cheddar. Was feeling all smug til I entered it into my fitness pal and it had 17g of carbs in one sitting which upset me!
I need to knuckle down and get to grips this week im just struggling a bit as I've spent so long eating loads and loads of veg.
