This is the full list of those who have signed up. Hopefully you're all on The Spreadsheet of Fabulousness (unless you said you didn't want to be!

Remember, weighing in tomorrow is not part of this week, although if you want to, you can put your weight in the 'original start date/weight' columns

Thanks must go, as always, to the very lovely @AthelstaneTheUnready for setting up the spreadsheet. You'll see this time that we've amended it slightly so that you can record loss for this Bootcamp as well as since you started, for those of you who started earlier.

If your name isn't on the spreadsheet, don't panic! Just add it to the bottom of the list. Don't try to insert it in the right alphabetical place - Athelstane will do that later.

If you are on the spreadsheet, but don't want to be, send me or Athelstane a PM and we'll remove you.

Whatever you do, don't touch the blue cells!

If you're using a mobile to access the spreadsheet, you'll need to download the Google Sheets app.

Yeh it feels totally doable. Whenever I've looked at the bootcamp it never felt like something I could do. Smile
Bring it on!

cheeseisthebest · 17/01/2021 21:06

Looked at it before I mean. It felt totally impossible!

re breakfasts: I was travelling in Vietnam some years ago and stayed in a remote hill village. They all ate soup for breakfast - cooked meat and veg from the day before, some kind of stock, plus added herbs and raw veg at the last moment. I was a convert and I often have soup for breakfast - something warming, like the leek and bacon one for the winter, something light, like gazpacho in the summer. An amazing start to the day, and I often feel that I've ticked off at least 2 or 3 of my 5 veg per day.

@LittleMy77 I also have a chart of things that I CAN eat, something like THIS so whenever I'm making a shopping list or running out of ideas for meal planning or bored with eating broccoli I can easily get some inspiration.

@DulcetMoans apple with peanut butter, not great (although delicious). It sounds really healthy (and would probably be amazing for an healthy, active, growing child) but unfortunately it's a combination of high sugar from the apple, and high fat from the nuts. M&S make a tiny snack pot of apple slices with peanut butter dip which has 330 calories (not that we count these), 25g fat and 13g carbs, of which 9.8g are sugars.

@1WayOrAnother2 you have my commiserations. The period when my kitchen was being renovated was one of the most miserable. Keep it simple in terms of food. Microwave foods for everyone else in your family (they won't die from this diet for a few weeks). For you, pre-prepared salad with tuna and amyonaaise; supermarket portions of chopped broccoli and cauliflower, and grated cheese, ham, and microwave; take away (ask this thread for advice on dishes from indian, chinese, thai, italian, all major chains

Great day today - a lovely walk in the morning, a lovely walk in the afternoon tbh there is f*& all to do but go for a walk
B - creamy scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, buttered mushrooms
L - leek and bacon soup . Thanks to the pp who suggested the recipe. It was warming, rich, smoky (like a good old lentil soup), and it helped me to use up all the rest of the cabbage.
D - coleslaw with grated cheese, chopped chicken, avocado

All great and ready for tomorrow. Oh! Except this evening I seems to have a glass of wine in my hand Blush Blush

cheeseisthebest · 17/01/2021 21:19

What about peas?
And beans, pulses?

LostaraYil · 17/01/2021 21:21

Wow, @BrassicaBabe, so impressed with your run!

venusandmars · 17/01/2021 21:22

@cheeseisthebest my biggest problem on this way of eating is that I have too many things that I want to eat Grin

One person posts a recipe about leek and bacon soup, someone else post about a delicious thai salad, someone else posts about slow cooked lamb with veg, another posts about steamed salmon with broccoli and asparagus.... and I want to eat them all. There are not enough days in the week to eat all the amazing things that we CAN eat and enjoy. And I almost (mostly) don't ever have any room for 'pudding'.

cheeseisthebest · 17/01/2021 21:26

I agree, that all sounds wonderful!

venusandmars · 17/01/2021 21:26

With regards to this:

@DulcetMoans apple with peanut butter, not great (although delicious). It sounds really healthy (and would probably be amazing for an healthy, active, growing child) but unfortunately it's a combination of high sugar from the apple, and high fat from the nuts. I meant to say AVOID

cheeseisthebest · 17/01/2021 21:26

Ive been finding I start cooking tea and I'm not remotely hungry.

flossiegrippiter · 17/01/2021 21:31

Is there a number of carbs per day we need to be mindful of? Say no more than 50g etc as a guide.
I have found sainsburys no added sugar dark choc for when we ease the strictness, would this be better or worse than normal 70% dark choc?

www.sainsburys.co.uk/gol-ui/product/large-bar-chocolate/sainsburys-no-added-sugar-dark-chocolate-100g

venusandmars · 17/01/2021 21:33

@cheeseisthebest

No (or very few) peas. No beans, no pulses.

When I'm in maintenance (that is when have reached my current 'aspiration' - whatever that might be) I have beans or pulses once a week. Peas, beans, pulses are great for a long term way of eating but if you are in a period of low carb weight loss you need to avoid them.

cheeseisthebest · 17/01/2021 21:37

Oh dear. Got pea and mint soup for lunch tomorrow and lentil meatballs for tea!

ChristMyArse · 17/01/2021 21:50

Evening one and all.

Today looked like -
B gammon and spinach
L chicken with FLCV salad
D Greek yoghurt, double cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

My teapigs arrived so I've drank every flavour under the sun, and lots of water to get to my 4ltrs.

Today (day 17) has been the first time that I have wanted chocolate. Managed to avoid all the left over quality street that the kids were inhaling, and got a creamy coffee instead but it was a right effort!

Can you eat too much on this WOE?? I feel like I'm having VERY substantial meals on this, hence why sometimes I'm having yoghurt for dinner!

BIWI · 17/01/2021 21:54

I've started the week 1 chat thread a bit early

BrassicaBabe · 17/01/2021 22:13

Reports on teapig flavours @ChristMyArse?

Twinnings lemon abs ginger arrived tonight via Tesco. Smelled great. Once again flavour of strained socks!

Discoballs · 18/01/2021 08:32

@Definitelymaybeee I can tolerate any amount of dairy really without it affecting weight loss. At least for the first few months of low carbing. But as @AthelstaneTheUnready says it seems to be a very personal thing. So worth experimenting with if you do stall.

I had a massive dinner last night and still feel like I may never need to eat again so riding with that feeling and just having black coffee for breakfast.

Lunch will be tuna Mayo lettuce cups if I'm hungry by then.

Dinner is Korean style mackerel with stir fried veg. Never tried it before, so hopefully it'll taste OK.

BIWI · 18/01/2021 09:42

@Discoballs Come and join us over here!

Hi all, I can't get into sheets to input weight as they have disappeared - only have the May bootcamp but the sheets were there last week - can anyone help please?

BIWI · 18/01/2021 17:27

If you RTFT you'll find that Athelstane has posted a new link.

Will a peri menopausal period from hell bloat me enough? I've bloody put on 3lbs this week.

venusandmars · 26/01/2021 22:29

@NelAntarctic there's a new thread...
