This is the full list of those who have signed up. Hopefully you're all on The Spreadsheet of Fabulousness (unless you said you didn't want to be!

Remember, weighing in tomorrow is not part of this week, although if you want to, you can put your weight in the 'original start date/weight' columns

Thanks must go, as always, to the very lovely @AthelstaneTheUnready for setting up the spreadsheet. You'll see this time that we've amended it slightly so that you can record loss for this Bootcamp as well as since you started, for those of you who started earlier.

If your name isn't on the spreadsheet, don't panic! Just add it to the bottom of the list. Don't try to insert it in the right alphabetical place - Athelstane will do that later.

If you are on the spreadsheet, but don't want to be, send me or Athelstane a PM and we'll remove you.

Whatever you do, don't touch the blue cells!

If you're using a mobile to access the spreadsheet, you'll need to download the Google Sheets app.

Morning all. Great to read the food positivity...I have awful toothache today, rotten timing in lockdown, I’m just waiting to hear back from dentist. Changes my meal plans for the day to very soft/soup. B - leftover leeks in cheese sauce, L - chicken soup, D - leftover roast pork & roast veg turned in to soup.

Superspecs · 11/01/2021 11:34

Hello all, I'm excited to join you again!

This morning I got back to my Christmas Eve weight, so my three days of excess took 18 days to work off.

Anyway, looking forward to getting started!

AthelstaneTheUnready · 11/01/2021 11:38

All added to the list who wanted to be.

Thanks @Lyrata re the smoking. I have given up before so sort of know what to expect. Wobbled today when the heating engineer told me how much it would cost to replace the oil tank... but resisted.

Very disorganised fridge atm, so looks like lunch will be sprouts in butter.

Pandoraslastchance · 11/01/2021 11:38

Hi, just added my weight to the spreadsheet.

I've not really been eating any of the main carbs(bread/pasta/rice) for a few weeks now but i think I'm ready to make the jump in to actually getting this weight shifted.

I've got a fridge of healthy good foods, some meals planned and I'm cutting out the diet coke for good this time.

Long term goal is to get to 14 stone to get my reconstruction surgery done.

BurningGubbins · 11/01/2021 11:56

Hello All. It’s great to read everyone so keen. I’ve been back on properly for 6 days now and managed to shift half of the Christmas weight - that’s my first milestone.

Suffering with the carb flu now though. It really disrupts my sleep as I get terrible restless legs. I’ve upped the electrolytes the last couple of days but I just need to ride it out. It’s an incentive not cheat anyway, as I don’t want to go through this again! Got up a bit early and did some yoga as I’ve been struggling to fit it in around work and homeschooling. Feeling good!

prettybird · 11/01/2021 12:15

Just calculated: I have 12 weeks to lose at least 15lb Shock

I am hoping that with the initial water whoosh, that should be achievable.

But I will need to be focussed Halo

NelAntarctic · 11/01/2021 12:15

@BIWI I've name changed from CisMyArse to this one instead. Too confusing otherwise!

ShagMeRiggins · 11/01/2021 12:17

Athelstane the amount of money you’ll be saving on fags will pay for the oil tank in no time.

ShagMeRiggins · 11/01/2021 12:19

That’s a shame. There was something peculiarly pleasing about having a Christ and a Cis Hmm in the same group.

Hopeislost · 11/01/2021 12:28

Thanks for the food bank idea. No Christmas treats left here but I've just bagged up EIGHT unopened bags of pasta from the cupboard to donate. DH has decided to join me this time round, so we won't be eating it!

Any suggestions with what to fill my (now bare-looking) shelves with?

52andblue · 11/01/2021 12:29

could my starting weight be added please? 177 pounds or 80kg

Looks like everyone is starting today?
I have a Birthday tomorrow (being celebrated Thurs for weird reasons)
I was hoping to have Salmon & hollandaise or steak and bearnaise and cake. Hmmm, don't want to be behind everyone else?

ChristMyArse · 11/01/2021 12:34
@BIWI I've name changed from CisMyArse to this one instead. Too confusing otherwise!
You didn't need to do that!

ChristMyArse · 11/01/2021 12:36

@ShagMeRiggins

That’s a shame. There was something peculiarly pleasing about having a Christ and a Cis Hmm in the same group.
Mines not a religious thing btw. It was quite literal as I got pressure sores on my arse after a whole load of spinal surgery and changed when I asked about them on here. I'm pleased to report my arse is now fine, albeit chunky 😁
AthelstaneTheUnready · 11/01/2021 12:55

Hooray for fine arses!

Shag, unfortunately the smoking habit was about 4 tiny rollups a day, so about a tenner's worth a month, so about 10 years of giving up to pay most of the oil tank cost.

I just want my lungs back, never mind the money Grin

@52andblue, weight added, and no, I'm not being perfect this week either.

Oneborneverydecade · 11/01/2021 13:12

Was feeling a bit smug that I've never smoked and drink only very occasionally, so carbs are the only thing I need to worry about. Then remembered we're doing no spend Jan (and probably longer) because we're 10s of 1000s in debt - didn't feel smug for very long!

BIWI · 11/01/2021 13:14

@Hopeislost

In my cupboards I have tins of tuna (in oil, preferably), a couple of tins of water chestnuts (4.9g carbs per 100g) which I sometimes use in stir fries. They're also great wrapped in smoked, streaky bacon (and then baked) as a dinner party canape or snack.

I also have tins of tomatoes, coconut milk, sardines/anchovies (I hate anchovies but DH likes them!) and corned beef. There's a great recipe for corned beef hash that uses celeriac on the meat recipe thread.

Along with jars of capers and gherkins (which go into the fridge when opened!)

Different oils - extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil and sesame oil, along with soy sauce and various different wine vinegars. Not balsamic, as that's very carby - but red wine, white wine and cider vinegar, as well as malt vinegar.

And lots of different herbs and spices.

I do still have dried lentils (red and green) which I use occasionally (although these are not for Bootcamp!) and tins of chickpeas and lentils which are sort of an emergency stash!

DataColour · 11/01/2021 13:50

Looking forward to this journey. Need to lose a few pounds to fit back into my clothes nicely again...I've probably gained about 10lbs since march 2020. I'm short so it really shows!

52andblue · 11/01/2021 14:03

@AthelstaneTheUnready
thank you for adding the weight x. Good luck with stopping the rollies. that will help your health so much and will save some pennies too.

Hopeislost · 11/01/2021 14:12

Thanks @BIWI for all the suggestions. I've mainly been eating fresh food since starting BC so hadn't really looked in the cupboard!

Interesting recipe in the Guardian today for celeriac 'pasta'. Might try and adapt it for BC.

BIWI · 11/01/2021 14:14

Yes, I liked the sound of that recipe too - just not quite sure I can face having to get my mandolin out of the cupboard, and not sure I could cut it thin enough with a knife, no matter how sharp!

Reporting in for Bootcamp !
Am so happy we are starting again thanks so much @BIWI @Stuntnun @AthelstaneTheUnready for all your work. Brilliant idea to have an easing in week!

This is my second Bootcamp this time around. ( did it before years ago successfully but went astray after second pregnancy!)
As of today I am 26 lbs lighter than October when I started.
My goal is to lose another 11 lbs this time ( secretly hoping for more !)

To anyone worried about whether this will work for them - I am over the moon with how it's working for me. I am late 40's and had started to worry that was it and my weight was going to have to be something I learned to live with. I don't exercise at the moment at all apart from walking but the weight has come steadily off!

This Bootcamp I need to get back on to drinking all the water and more green veg to make sure this WOE is as healthy as possible .

Good luck everyone - if you stick with it and post on here when you wobble you will get great results !

NigellaAwesome · 11/01/2021 15:38

Hello everyone, I'm ready to start again

Thanks for the thread @BIWI.

I need to spend a bit of time catching up on the thread, but I feel excited to make a new start in a new year.

Ratherchillyinhere · 11/01/2021 15:41

Just signing in for day one proper...

ShagMeRiggins · 11/01/2021 15:52

My goal is to lose another 11 lbs this time (secretly hoping for more !)

Are you usually this amazing at keeping secrets, Midlife? Grin

Ratherchillyinhere · 11/01/2021 15:59

Ok. We today has gone well so far - left over cold pork belly for breakfast 😋; chicken bone broth and double cream soup for lunch with a salad and we're having the Greek chicken with garlic sauce tray able thing from the Diet Doctor website for dinner.

I'd got into slightly bad habits because the the new covid rules meant work was so much more difficult but now I'm working from home, some of the pressure has been taken off a bit and I'm getting back into good habits again!

We have an entire shelf in the fridge devoted to cheese... 😍
