Morning all

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for its weekly outing.

Don't forget to check out all the different resources on the spreadsheet - it's a huge mine of information.

We are now past the half way point - so only 5 more weeks to go until we get to Christmas! Shock

But that means there's still time to lose a good chunk of weight, if we all knuckle down and get on with it.

Flowers to us all!

2lb down for me, although I went up a pound last week and so down 1lb in two weeks. My loss is slow as I am within half a stone or so of goal.

ShagMeRiggins · 16/11/2020 15:59

plumstone I’m happy to add your 1lb gain to spreadsheet for you, but I don’t have a weight for last week. As you were away for two weeks, should I add it to the week before so it’s 1lb up over two weeks?

NigellaAwesome Flowers for you and Flowers for your daughter.

WitchWand · 16/11/2020 15:59

3 and a bit pounds down this week ! So pleased. Thinking about everyone who STS or put on this week. Hope you can stay strong over the week to come.

Flowers to NigellaAwesome

ShagMeRiggins · 16/11/2020 16:14

Solongsugar I’ve added your weight to the spreadsheet of fabulousness. So it’s STS, yes?

For the record, I’ve also STS. Stressful family week but nothing critical. Just normal life. Still, I worry so much I imagine my cortisol is up there, and haven’t made time to work off the stress with usual stationary bike or treadmill (mouse in the garage is my excuse—and I know it’s an excuse), or even a Figure8 danceathon.

I’ve been reduced to exercising the glutes by squeezing my arse tightly for five seconds at a time over a 10-15 minute period. It actually makes me sore!

And...unclench.

Good thing is I can do it while working at the computer. Work is the main thing that’s giving me great pleasure right now, so that’s a lifeline. Plus, I ought to stop that late-evening “snack” Hmm of taramasalata and half a pita bread. Idiot. Grin

NotEatchingspooks

What I have found, is (I know obvious but I had not really thought about it) that by doing a list of every 1lb on this weight loss journey against my BMI at that weight, I can see the progress nearer to a Healthy Weight BMI and that every lb counts, it’s not just about the end goal.

I love your post. I’m a big fan of looking at all the numbers so it’s easier to find a milestone/victory in one of them.

It’s very motivating.

plumstone · 16/11/2020 16:40

@ShagMeRiggins can we put STS for the blank weeks please? - I was away and haven't stepped on scales since the last time I entered a week but was 12st 1lb on the scales this morning, which I think is a pound up from the last time I stepped on them!

Today's food has been:
B - Smoked Salmon, Spinach with all the olive oil, and two boiled eggs with butter
L - chicken mayo and avocado, rocket, celery, spring onion more olive oil
D - Steak, creamy mushroom sauce, roasted broccoli and roasted sprouts.

Solongsugar · 16/11/2020 16:47

Hi and much appreciated @ShagMeRiggins. The falling off wagon was due to being time poor. As much as I prep, there's only so much I can fit in freezer . But I didn't even enjoy ! Much prefer fresh, healthy low carb....never thought I'd say it! Here's to a good week all Halo

NigellaAwesome · 16/11/2020 17:21

Thanks for the Flowers and well wishes everyone. I don't want to derail the thread though. DD is getting help, and hopefully we will get through this.

Well done to all the losses this week. I daren't weigh myself today, but I have cleaned and cleaned all day today. I will brave the scales in a couple of days.

NotwatchingSpooks · 16/11/2020 17:53

20bloodypounds thank you I’m going to add some to my list 😀

20bloodypounds · 16/11/2020 17:55

no helpful recipe suggestions, please

ShagMeRiggins · 16/11/2020 18:01

Another one here doing ‘hats off’ to Lyrata and prettybird for the photos.

Two hats off for oneborneverydecade for showing us a Before, not an After. It doesn’t matter how many whooshes it takes, you’ll get there!!

Oneborneverydecade · 16/11/2020 18:23

Ha thank you @shagmeriggins trouble is that is after 3st Grin

Thinking of you @nigellaawesome x

ponygirlcurtis · 16/11/2020 18:38

20bloodypounds A rat in your garage? What are you gonna do? Grin

20bloodypounds · 16/11/2020 19:44

@ponygirlcurtis I am going to sit in my bedroom and shout "husband! husband! help! help!" Then I'm going to direct him to all the possible means of dealing with rats (which I've already googled). And when he shrugs and is not too fussed I'll tell him that if you see one rat, there are probably 15 more lurking... In this one, I'm the brains, he is the brawn (or the bravery).

BuffyTheBuffetSlayer · 16/11/2020 20:00

Weighed in at lunchtime, this us the first chance I've had to post!

Scales said 13st 13.8!!!!! So first time in the 13's since... years ago!! I still need to add my weight to the spreadsheet so not sure how much I've lost yet. It wasnt much, but I dont care because whatever it was pushed me to a new achievement.

@itsmeagainagain below is a link to buttered chicken recipe. It's amazing and a regular in our house now. Only takes about 15mins in the frying pan.

ShagMeRiggins · 16/11/2020 20:19

Ha thank you @shagmeriggins trouble is that is after 3st

That’s not a trouble. That’s an impressive step. An incredibly long step. On the right path.

Don’t know how much you want/need to lose. I do know you seem to be getting there.

I’m bloody impressed!!

MrsHuntGeneNotJeremyObviously · 16/11/2020 20:25

Just checking in with today's food.
B - bacon, fried egg, mushrooms and a tomato
L - a celery stick, half with boursin, half with almond butter. 2 squares of 85% dark chocolate.
D - steak burger from the butcher. Courgette, carrot and half an onion fried in oil and mixed with a tablespoon of boursin.

Lots of tea/coffee

Lyrata · 16/11/2020 20:50

Oh NigellaAwesome that’s dreadful. Like everyone has said, be kind to yourself. You must be going through the worst time - thinking of you and your family and very much hope you’re getting the support you need.

Massive congratulations to all the losers - it seems like a very successful week! And thank you for all the kind comments xx

AWryGiraffe · 16/11/2020 21:48

Sorry for those going through a rough time at the moment. Hang in there.

That butter chicken recipe looks nice, I think I'll make a veggie version with paneer and maybe mushrooms and red peppers

I'm bouncing between 11'12 and 12 stone. Come on scales!

Today -

Avocado, cream cheese and cucumber sandwich on low carb bread for lunch
Veggie sausages, lots of mushrooms, broccoli and fried egg for dinner

Low veg today. Got a 2.2 litre water bottle so I'm drinking at least that every day. Toddler is killing me sleep wise so just getting through the day today!

Totalshambles · 17/11/2020 06:43

Not caught up with the thread for a while, and still have two kids off school with bubbles down so not much time for anything. Didn't get to weigh yesterday but just weighed today and basically been exactly the same after the losses in the first two weeks. Been drinking masses of water. Will up the water but frankly getting pretty pissed off with it! I know the scales aren't everything and I should look at other things and try an old pair of jeans on (going to get my favourite pair out this morning) etc but I would like to see the scales move too.

Hope everyone else is seeing decent losses and keeping motivated.

VeryLittleOwl · 17/11/2020 07:26

Well, it seems like this week's 2lbs were the ones that made the difference - okay, I had to lie on the bed and breathe in and the button was taking some SERIOUS strain, but the shorts do up!!! Comparison pictures with last week and week 1 (10.6lbs difference from week 1).

Wow!! @VeryLittleOwl that's fantastic progress!!

Yesterday I found a jumper dress that I used to wear after I had DD who is now 14, today I'm wearing it for work!! It doesn't quite fit the way it did then but I think another 14lb will make a difference as that's the weight I was after I had her!

Totalshambles · 17/11/2020 07:45

verylittleowl that is amazing progress!! You must feel so pleased with yourself!! Well done!

Keep going, honestly - I had pretty much the same weight in week 3, week 4 and week 5, it's only this week the scales have started moving again, but I've been changing shape throughout.

And thank you and Zigga for the congratulations, there may have been a bit of a happy dance round the bedroom Grin Based on photos from last year, I need another 6lbs off for the zip to do up, so I'm on a mission now to reach that by the end of this bootcamp.
