Pre-Christmas Low Carb Bootcamp - week 6 already!

Morning all

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for its weekly outing.

Don't forget to check out all the different resources on the spreadsheet - it's a huge mine of information.

We are now past the half way point - so only 5 more weeks to go until we get to Christmas! Shock

But that means there's still time to lose a good chunk of weight, if we all knuckle down and get on with it.

Flowers to us all!

@itsmeagainagain you too!!!!

itsmeagainagain · 18/11/2020 12:13

@Lyrata that’s good to hear! How long has it taken you?

Lyrata · 18/11/2020 12:34

@itsmeagainagain eight weeks to get down to ten stone 5 but I’ve been stuck there for weeks nine and ten (the first week due to some gratuitous cheating, the second week profoundly unfairly).

itsmeagainagain · 18/11/2020 12:37

@Lyrata that made me chuckle 🤭 hope the scales are kind on Monday. That’s really good achievement though well done 👏

plumstone · 18/11/2020 12:43

8 weeks to 10st 5 is very motivational from 11st 7. IF I could see 11st 7 by Christmas, and then 10st by Easter I would be very happy!!!

I don't like scales when I have been saint like and am expecting them to play nicely - Good luck for Monday

Lyrata · 18/11/2020 12:48

Thanks @itsmeagainagain and @plumstone! I hope the scales are kind to the both of you too.

VeryLittleOwl · 18/11/2020 14:14

Doilooklikeatourist - great progress on the belt!

plumstone - I'm an inch shorter at 5'5", but on the same train of thought as you, I was 45 in August and it's time to get this sorted out before the menopause hits. My mum went through it at 48, so I'm guessing I haven't got long to go. Trying to get down to 9st 7lbs, which is my 'I feel fabulous' weight and will then keep eating the same way for a bit and see where I settle naturally.

Oneborneverydecade · 18/11/2020 15:01

I'd like to be 10st 7 too but I've longer to go to get to 12st than you guys.
I've been 10st 3 and 15st 10 in the last 10 years. At 12st 8 I now feel slim, but on my way up this would have felt huge
Good luck for 11st something come Monday

Takingontheundead · 18/11/2020 15:19

I cannot even imagine being 10st 7 again! Been a decade since I last saw that!!

Lots of people noticing my loss recently, i don't know if that means anything!

itsmeagainagain · 18/11/2020 15:28

Thanks @Oneborneverydecade I started at 12,8 👍 😊 you got this 💪

Mimosa1 · 18/11/2020 16:02

I'm another 5"6er, and after some quick mental maths, I would loooove to be in the 10stones. Need to get under 70kgs first!

Oneborneverydecade · 18/11/2020 16:18

You lost me at kgs @mimosa1 Grin

Thank you @itsmeagainagain why is it so easy to gain weight but so hard to lose it humpf

MsAwesomeDragon · 18/11/2020 16:48

I'm a bit taller than some of you, but not by much, as I'm 5'7". I'm currently in the 13 stone something bracket, which is actually the lightest I've been since 2009 when I fell pg with dd2. I'd love to be able to get into a size 14 pair of jeans. I've gone down from a size 20 in June (lots of lockdown eating) to a 16 at the minute, but to get to a size 14 would be amazing. For the past 20 years I've sort of fluctuated between a 16 and 18, occasionally going up as far as a 20, but never going down as far as a 14. I'm a real apple shape, so all my weight is on my boobs and belly, while my arms and legs are relatively slim.

I got my diabetic blood test results yesterday and I've gone down from 68 (far too high) in June, to 50 (almost normal) last week. That's not entirely down to diet, as I am on medication, but that's the same as it was in June, so a lot of the difference is down to low carb. I'm really pleased with that, as I really, really, really want to avoid the complications my mum and dad have both had (nerve damage and retinopathy, not a barrel of laughs either of them). So that's a huge nsv for me!!!

BIWI · 18/11/2020 17:02

That is a brilliant NSV @MsAwesomeDragon! And in many, many ways more important than the number on the scales Flowers

@Takingontheundead of course it's meaningful if people are noticing! You're doing really well.

Gutted!! Bought 3 loafs of seriously low carb bread. Arrived yesterday, had cheese on toast and toast on egg (not at the same time!! although I was tempted), today all 3 loafs are mouldy!! Still has 4 days on its use by date Hmm

ShagMeRiggins · 18/11/2020 18:12

Photograph now and email, Buffy. It’s worth it.

Solongsugar · 18/11/2020 18:13

Great update for me this week. Monday I'd gone up 2lb, today I'm 3lb down from Monday so lost the excess plus one more ! I've also got to the 12 stone mark (not been for years) , gone into the okay weight on NHS BMI , so extra pleased. Next stop, the 11s.

I'm 5'9.5 . Dress size 14;I can't rember what weight I was to be a 12 , if anyone knows?

MrsHuntGeneNotJeremyObviously · 18/11/2020 18:14

Contact the seller Buffy. At £15 for 3 loaves that's not good enough.

Did you put it in the fridge?

BIWI · 18/11/2020 18:28

Mind you, even if you did - going mouldy in one day is not on - I'd complain definitely! (with photos)

ZiggaZiggArrgggghhhh · 18/11/2020 18:33

Mine went in the freezer and were still mouldy, won't be buying again!!

ZiggaZiggArrgggghhhh · 18/11/2020 18:43

Courgetti Bologna for tea Smile it's lovely but it's definitely not pasta Wink

BIWI · 18/11/2020 18:44

@ZiggaZiggArrgggghhhh have you complained?

OP posts:
ZiggaZiggArrgggghhhh · 18/11/2020 18:45

No, I haven't. I can only assume it came to me mouldy as 2 went straight to the freezer and only came out as I was using them.

BuffyTheBuffetSlayer · 18/11/2020 19:09

I took photos, I'll try post a couple here. No, haven't put them in the fridge. I'm going to give them a quick email just to let them know what has happened and see what they come back with. I tried to include the use by date where I could.
