Evening all

I'm starting the new chat thread this evening, as we're going to be away tonight, and I won't have an opportunity to do this tomorrow morning. And I know how you all start chomping at the bit after about 5am on a Monday, waiting for me to start the new thread Grin

So here is the Spreadsheet

Hopefully now we've got through weeks 3 & 4, things are starting to go well for you all. Although I have noted the various lapses

Look forward to hearing how you've all got on

BIWI I cannot wait for semi-retirement when I don't quite know what day of the week it is WinkGrin

rosesandsunflowers · 16/11/2019 19:06

Can anyone recommend some Indian takeaway options that DH and I could have?

SittingontheSidelines · 16/11/2019 19:25

Oh god, I've lost a day of the weekend.

prettybird · 16/11/2019 20:40

Are you not a day ahead of yourself? Wink Tomorrow is Sunday Confused

venusandmars · 16/11/2019 21:00

[Grin] I've posted the same kind of comments on the last thread. @BIWI Grin is there a confused retired person emoticon?

BIWI · 16/11/2019 23:58

Sorry - yes, definitely confused retired (but also but also not very well) person!

Will not be home till Monday!

Thanks for the new thread! Marking place!

SittingontheSidelines · 17/11/2019 07:33

@BIWI thanks for the new thread. Sorry you're not well. Thanks

TamingToddler · 17/11/2019 08:01

I gained this week. Total off this bootcamp is 5lbs. Only for 7lbs to go so maybe that's why, and I definitely didn't drink enough water some days. Hey ho!

Rayna37 · 17/11/2019 08:17

Pretty good day yesterday- parkrun then a late brunch of eggs and mushrooms. Dinner was the Chicken turkey Alfredo from the diet doctor website that's had a few mentions here; really good! Did have two glasses of red and one of the 25g Aldi 85% chocolate bars though. Not quite enough water.

Met friends with the toddlers and was really ok about not having any cake.

KondoKonvert · 17/11/2019 09:16

I'm logging my weight today as it's my birthday and I'm planning on eating and drinking A LOT (mostly on plan).

I'm down 1.2lb which takes me to half a stone off this bootcamp. Very happy with that and I'll just KOKO!

venusandmars · 17/11/2019 10:53

Lovely bright morning here so had a frosty walk round the park - otters, a kingfisher and lots of waxwings (incredible birds)

Brunch - bacon, scrambled egg, asparagus
D - thai beef salad

Week 6 - Low Carb Bootcamp - welcome to the second half!
prettybird · 17/11/2019 10:57

I love waxwings - I've only seen them a few times out the window here in Glasgow (last time a few winters ago).

Nonononon · 17/11/2019 10:59

Wow I'm jealous! Here's me all excited about seeing a stoat this morning Grin I'd love to see some otters in the wild.

Well I'm at soft play, one black coffee down.
My anxiety has really been playing up these past few days I feel like I'm going crazy, it's a horrible feeling. I'll just have to ride it out and hope it goes away.
On the plus side I found my favourite necklace this morning and my new cooker was delivered, although I'm not going to wire it up until tomorrow when dd is at school.. don't want to give her any ideas involving sockets and screwdrivers..

Not sure what food will be today, will report back later.

Nonononon · 17/11/2019 13:29

Well made it back home.
Had tuna mayo and Greek salad for Lunch.
X2 paracetamol and a hot bath, now lying in bed waiting to start to feel better.

Tonight will be salmon and another salad of some sort.

Can wait to get cooking again tomorrow!

rosesandsunflowers · 17/11/2019 19:24

B: butter coffee
L: scrambled eggs, bacon, avocado and mushrooms
D: Mexican chicken with white cabbage and cauliflower.

Been feeling a little bored recently. I need to mix it up a bit. Can anyone recommend a favourite recipe I could try?

Nonononon · 17/11/2019 19:42

rose tomorrow I'm making a carbonara sauce and use kale instead of the pasta. It's very nice.

I've also decided to make keto brownies tomorrow too..

SittingontheSidelines · 17/11/2019 21:29

@venusandmars how fantastic, what a good lift for the day. The only wild animals I've seen today were children.Grin they were pretty fantastic as well though to be honest.

Breakfast left over salmon and mayo
Lunch leftover meatballs
Dinner lamb, celariac, mini Kale tops and sprouts.
Feel like I've eaten a lot today.

venusandmars · 17/11/2019 21:38

Does anyone have a good recipe for beansprouts? I've got half a bag left after my Thai salad...

rosesandsunflowers · 17/11/2019 23:41

Thanks @nonon definitely worth a try - I've not had any Kale yet - Keto brownies sounds good - I'm off to look up the recipe.

Nonononon · 18/11/2019 07:36

Well 1.25lbs off this week. Was hoping for 2.5lbs to take me (finally!) Into the 11s but hey ho, I'll KOKO and I'm sure I'll get there next week!
Start weight: 12st 9.5lbs
Current: 12st 1.25lbs
So that's 8.25lbs off so far.
Half way through and I'll be really happy if I can get another 8lbs off in these 5 weeks.

Good luck everyone weighing in today!

Rshard · 18/11/2019 07:36

Just posted a long message on last week’s thread - ah well. Basically, I’ve been rubbish due to some dd related stress but am starting over today.

Hope everyone has a good Monday

Rshard · 18/11/2019 07:37

PS lovely to read how well people are doing!

Exitstrategist · 18/11/2019 07:41

Up a pound 😩 Surprised it’s not more- weekend away with friends and ate lots of cheese and drank too much wine. Back in straight and narrow from today.

absopugginglutely · 18/11/2019 07:45

Gah, I’ve just had a litre of water so I’m not weighing myself this morning now!

I did weigh myself yesterday and it I had lost 3/4 lbs! Which means after a week of no cheese (apart from 1 baby bell!) and 16:8 intermittent fasting, I’ve finally broken through the 11 stone barrier (after stalling for weeks!)

My scales are pretty basic and have those lines after each KG - one shorter, one longer and it’s quite hard to see where the red line was sitting but it’s definitely 3-4 lbs under 11 stone now and when I get paid I’m going to get some new (maybe digital) scales.

Can’t remember who but thanks so much for recommending intermittent fasting and cutting out cheese, I didn’t miss cheese at all and when my dad visited this weekend, I did a few cheese boards so he and DH finished it all off!

Hope you’ve all had a good week!

Here’s to more whooshes this week! 🥂
