Evening all

I'm starting the new chat thread this evening, as we're going to be away tonight, and I won't have an opportunity to do this tomorrow morning. And I know how you all start chomping at the bit after about 5am on a Monday, waiting for me to start the new thread Grin

So here is the Spreadsheet

Hopefully now we've got through weeks 3 & 4, things are starting to go well for you all. Although I have noted the various lapses

Look forward to hearing how you've all got on

Hope all the poorly people are feeling much better, and good luck to @prettybird, great stock phrase to use BTW.

Fell off thread last week as my missing 2lbs found me again and I was sulking. I know why tho, so more fat, less water, less gin and no naughty chicken nuggets damn you McDonalds

So, been very good this week, weighed in yesterday morning at 12 and a half stone!!!

Well done and koko everyone. Just about to eat a massive fry up as it's the only safe thing on the menu. Shame Grin

KondoKonvert · 20/11/2019 14:16

Food plan for the day:

B: creamy coffee, boiled eggs with butter and avocado

Lunch: green salad with bacon and feta and olive oil

Dinner: low carb sausages with roasted courgette and mushrooms.

Sauvignonismysaviour · 20/11/2019 16:05

When you reach your goal weight (yay!) then realise it isn't enough (boo!). So we KOKO.
Got my hen do on Friday night so that'll be a challenge!

1Wildheartsease · 20/11/2019 16:16

Wedding to go on Friday... my planned outfit is a bit baggy! THis is both good and bad.

OPTIONS
-I eat non-stop between now and then - to fill the gaps
OR
-find a jacket to cover and style it out
OR
-order something smaller and hope it doesn't cost too much and gets here in time.

:) I'm pleased and surprised really - of course. Weight is staying put but size seems to have reduced after all.

ShagMeRiggins · 20/11/2019 16:18

It's the 6-year-old's swimming night. Half an hour of managing the 4-year-old and the 19-month-old in the sauna of a changing room.

Say no more, Kondo, say no more. Been there, got the t-shirt, and it’s soaking wet (pool water & gin) Wink

Rshard · 20/11/2019 16:28

I’m loving reading about all the nsv’s, 1wild definitely order something new! A just reward.

Interesting reading about greebol and venus approaches to maintenance - this is where I’ve failed in the last so your experiences are really helpful.

I’ve swerved mince pies and cookies today at work, in fact a leftover cookie is in my bag for dd to eat. I’m not remotely tempted to eat it.

Nonononon · 20/11/2019 17:20

Food today
L: salmon, poached eggs (two), spinach and 1 small avocado.
D: bag of mixed salad leaves, tin of tuna with mayo, some feta and half a large avocado.

IWillWearTheGreenWillow · 20/11/2019 17:40

Aaagh. Really struggling today. Nothing seems to fill me up. Very emotionally fragile due to big assessment tomorrow I am very worried about, dog is unwell, DH is away. Bacon and eggs for tea but might have eaten the fridge by then.

moleeye · 20/11/2019 18:15

Food today

L leftover butter chicken curry with kale and brussel sprouts

D- moussaka with leaves and half an avocado

4.5l of water

Feeling chuffed, did a cheeky mid week weigh (I know I know) and am -3.5lb! Also I've managed to get into a pair of pre preg size 14 jeans. They were a bit snug and there's a lotttt of Lycra in them but still. I'll take that!

moleeye · 20/11/2019 18:18

@IWillWearTheGreenWillow

I know the feeling! Have your dinner and some water. Brush your teeth, keep busy and if need be go to bed early! That's what I did on Monday when all I wanted to do was eat the kids croissants. I was in bed by 8!

BIWI · 20/11/2019 18:24

I struggled last night because we were watching firstly Masterchef and then (even worse) Rick Stein's Secret France, where everything he cooks and eats is accompanied by a glass of wine! But I didn't give in Halo

@IWillWearTheGreenWillow I had a very hungry day on Monday too - just make sure that you're eating because you're genuinely hungry, not just because of the emotional turmoil you're in. And make sure that if you are eating, that you're eating good, low carb stuff!

Just checking in:
B: creamy coffee
L:Bolognese with leaves
D: roast chicken and a mountain of broccoli and buttery Brussels!

SittingontheSidelines · 20/11/2019 21:25

Having just caught up with the thread I am now salivating at the thought of buttery Brussels Grin

My lunch was a tiny bit of left over chicken and a lot of left over veg, mostly courgette.

Dinner was cod cooked in lemon and butter, delicious. With a wedge of roast cabbage, green beans and pan fried mini sweetcorn. I felt a bit emotionally needing to eat today as well and wanted to consume a giant bag of peanuts. However DH kindly reminded me that I didn't really want to do that so I didn't. After dinner when the need hit me again I had an almond milky lattee, it will mess up my 16 8 but better than going off plan.

Iris1 · 21/11/2019 07:45

Hi everyone
I've been following along and sticking to the rules. I've found the thread really really helpful - so thank you.
I started on a Tuesday in october and am currently 2 days into week 5 so a little behind you guys.
I've lost 7Ibs since starting but nothing at all in the last week. In fact I've gone from 10Ib5 to 10Ib5.2 in 7 days. I guess it could just be a plateau.
I'm drinking at least 4 litres of water a day. I'm IF which I've been doing a Long time as I naturally don't eat breakfast so this works for me really well and I feel benefits hugely.
I'm not snacking. As this WOE has naturally made me feel full. I guess it could be a plateau, or too much cheese or hormonal. I'm about 8 days from being due my period. So will keep doing what I'm doing. Not tempted to deviate as I feel tons better in so many different ways - more energy, not tired until at least 9pm whereas I used to be sleepy at 2pm daily. Better digestion. Stomach problems gone. Period pain gone and loss so much lighter (best side effect ever) Etc. Etc.
So anyway a bit frustrated but will carry on as I know it has to be a blip
Typically I'm having
B - No food but will have one or two black coffees
L - Usually an omelette. Yesterday I made one with six eggs, leftover roasted broccolli (roasted in Olive oil), bacon, goats cheese (all cooked in butter) I ate only half of this with half an avocado and some chopped spring onion
D - Small bowl of curry made from 15% mince- mostly spices and stock, spoon of fage 5% on side.

This is all quite typical though I vary it. I think I will cut out cheese this week and see what happens. Sometimes I have cream in my coffee but rarely - I try not to snack and I drink water all day and some peppermint tea.

I'm 5ft4 and my eventual target is 9stone. I Have got there in the past. My immediate target is 10stone by Xmas but that means losing 5Ibs. Will keep trying.

I've also introduced the gym (mostly for mental health reasons I'll be honest I know diet is more important for weight loss) but I do mostly resistance training and weight training. I tend to do it fasted I don't know if I should eat first but I like to go in the morning.

Sorry for the essay....

Will try and keep posting. At risk of sounding ridiculous thank you all for inspiring me!

DownUdderer · 21/11/2019 08:01

Pretty good day for me. I’ve had a yogurt and nuts, egg mayo and low GI bread, bolognaise and green veg. I’m trying to drink lots of water.

BIWI · 21/11/2019 08:06

Good going @Iris1! Don't panic about a 0.2lb gain. Natural fluctuations.

But are you sure you're eating enough? No need to deprive yourself.

KOKO - you sound like you'll be fine based on what you've posted.

Ketomeato · 21/11/2019 09:12

Another one on a plateau here. Been at the same point for over a week and have also been in ketosis all that time too, according to my bargain keto sticks! I’m not premenstrual, not constipated, but I seem to have stuck! Does that mean I’ve reached the thing Atkins talks about when he goes on about what level of carbs becomes your sort of “gain” point?

LittleSwede · 21/11/2019 09:14

Last day of week 4 for me, I'm so pleased that I've managed to stick with and with the exception of a few glasses of wine here and there I have stuck to good, low carb food. Not a boast, just amazed by it as usually slip up a few times in the first few weeks. Particularly as we're in a 'fight' for support for ASD DD at school and my stress and anxiety levels are at a peak.

Whoop whoop for getting into ore pregnancy jeans moleeye!

venusandmars · 21/11/2019 09:17

My scales are bonkers! I was up half a pound this morning. Went to the bathroom, went back on the scales and I was up 2 lbs. I think my scales don't like cold weather!

Out this evening so no breakfast.

L - egg mayo, avocado, salad
D - Nepalese restaurant, so I think I'll have prawn skewers marinated in cumin, ginger and garlic oil, then Chicken Pasanda with saag on the side, and I''ll see if they do some cauliflower too...

DownUdderer · 21/11/2019 09:51

I’m going on a hike tomorrow. I’d love a pound off this weekend. I’m feeling smaller especially in my legs.

Iris1 · 21/11/2019 17:04

Thanks BIWI

I think I will carry on and not change anything just yet. 2 days into week 5 so could be the week 4 plateau or could be as in a week off my period.

Today I had to get a quick lunch out so had a boiled egg and spinach pot, piece of priscuttio, a couple of tomatoes and mozzarella in the deli tub, and a packet of Mr poorly crackers. Then went to the gym in the afternoon.
Just about to serve evening meal.
Two pork steaks cooked in Olive oil. Steamed broccolli. Courgette and spring greens fried in Olive oil and butter.

That will prob be me for the day. Maybe it's not enough food? I don't know. I feel full they way I've been eating.
I'll prob add a bit of boursin on top of pork

Nonononon · 21/11/2019 17:49

Checking in.

L: went for a pub meal so I choose a mixed grill, I gave my chips and peas away and had some steak, gammon, chicken, a sausage and a fried egg.
Cream coffee back at work.
D: mountain of rocket leaves, some bacon and chicken in mayo (hm and used chicken thighs) with some cheese.
Creamy tea with one sweetener.

absopugginglutely · 21/11/2019 17:51

Check in (with no time to read thread until DD in bed)
B:cream coffee
L:Bolognese green leaves
D: gross aldi ready meal of beef bourginon (never again!) and FLGV with FL butter on.

3 litres water so far.

Will prob have another litre this evening.

So disappointing when dinner isn’t nice.

KondoKonvert · 21/11/2019 18:10

Checking in too:

B: creamy coffee
L: couple of bits of spiced chicken and some smoked salmon (total fail on the veg front)
D: roasted piri piri chicken with celeriac mash and stir fried cabbage with butter

BIWI · 21/11/2019 18:31

@Ketomeato (and others!) staying the same for a week isn't a plateau, or a stall. Weight loss on this WOE isn't linear, but seems to go in chunks. Hence the word 'whoosh'!

Don't panic. You know it's working for you, so KOKO.
