Evening all

I'm starting the new chat thread this evening, as we're going to be away tonight, and I won't have an opportunity to do this tomorrow morning. And I know how you all start chomping at the bit after about 5am on a Monday, waiting for me to start the new thread Grin

So here is the Spreadsheet

Hopefully now we've got through weeks 3 & 4, things are starting to go well for you all. Although I have noted the various lapses

Look forward to hearing how you've all got on

2lb down. Was away for work so did a lot walking and ate a lot of Pret salad boxes.

venusandmars · 18/11/2019 08:15

I'm a pound up on last week and two pound up from where I started. But a few days ago I was inexplicably 4 lbs up, so it's been a better journey since then. Yesterday I definitely didn't have enough water or fat will rectify that today.

B - avocado
L - butter soup (cauliflower and spinach in chicken stock)
D - moussaka with green veg

Ketomeato · 18/11/2019 08:15

A whole stone off since we started!

IWillWearTheGreenWillow · 18/11/2019 08:18

Still stuck at 13st 0.8lbs, but last week.was week 4 for me. Hoping for a woosh this week if I stay on track!

Had what I can only describe as a Funny Turn yesterday. Had 2 coffees (1 decaff) with cream for breakfast and went shopping with DH. Suddenly found myself too hungry to think at 1pm, so had a Pret protein box and an execrable coffee with semi-skimmed milk because that was all they had. Ten minutes later, I suddenly got so dizzy it seemed like the whole world was genuinely upside down and I couldn't make my eyes focus properly and I felt appallingly sick.

I ate my "missing meal" when I got home (skipping breakfast altogether really doesn't work for me) but felt off until at least 4pm. Any thoughts on what happened? Possibly not enough water, I thought (only 1l yesterday because I am so sick of sloshing).

LittleSwede · 18/11/2019 09:10

Hope you are feeling better today IWillwearTheGreenWillow I think I've had a couple of minor funny turns the first week and put it down to readjustment and dehydration. Not as full on as your turn though, must have been scary at the time.

I'm down a pound, so just over 7 lost in total. I am now in week 4 so not expecting much to happen this week. KOKO.

whojamaflip · 18/11/2019 09:21

Well nothing lost this week but also nothing gained which surprises me as I've been crap about my water and have cheated most days - not hugely but the odd mince pie here and there.Blush

Don't worry about the big stick BiWi - I'm cracking here already!

Need to behave from now on - would like to get to a stone off before Christmas and then I will be able to wear my sparkly dress which I haven't been able to get into for several years! 5 lbs to go which should be doable I hope 🤞

ShagMeRiggins · 18/11/2019 09:23

2lbs down, so back to where I was two weeks ago, with an overall loss of 5lbs. I really should be losing more steadily. Going to have to figure out what’s going wrong.

BIWI I’m sorry you’re unwell. Hope you get through it soon. And for all who are undergoing stressful situations, KOKO. Take care of yourselves.

LittleSwede · 18/11/2019 09:37

Hope you are feeling better soon BIWI and thanks for the sixth thread!

SittingontheSidelines · 18/11/2019 09:51

Well done loosers, KOKO staying put and gainers.
I'm 2 pounds down. Nine this Bootcamp. I'd love to loose a further stone by Christmas but will settle for another 9 pounds. Grin My immediate goal is to be in the 13s by next week. Nearly there.

Doilooklikeatourist · 18/11/2019 09:59

Another pound off ( which is more than I deserve after the weekend we had 👍)
Out for a coastal walk later , the weather is beautiful here .
Tenby , here we come !

Though DH did suggest we pop to Greggs and buy a sandwich before we go

Rshard · 18/11/2019 10:02

hope that poorly people are feeling better soon!

Twit · 18/11/2019 10:30

Hi all! Congratulations on the losses, sorry some of us aren't feeling too well, hope you get better soon.
I didn't put any extra weight on last week, which was both surprising and excellent, in fact I lost a couple more pounds once my period started.

Weight loss so far is now 10lbs.
Today's menu is probably much the same as always.
B: egg and tea
Snack: salami & cheese
D/T: curried lime and coconut chicken and courgette (in butter)
3 litres of water and a decaff bullet proof coffee.

BIWI · 18/11/2019 11:59

Morning all - I'm back now and feeling much better. Thanks for the good wishes. I had some odd stomach thing, and felt decidedly odd (as can be seen from my mistaken posting! Blush

We were invited to some friends for a fabulous celebration dinner, and stayed over night. I was worried I wasn't going to be able to eat much, but I managed it and actually felt much better after I'd eaten something.

Sorry to hear about your funny turn @IWillWearTheGreenWillow. I'm not really sure why you would have felt so bad after eating, and I'd suggest that you visit your GP. Do you have particularly low/high blood pressure?

BIWI · 18/11/2019 12:01

@rosesandsunflowers - have you checked out the Bootcamp recipe threads? There are some really lovely ideas on there. They should all be stickied at the top of the Bootcamp topic.

Spanish chicken and moussaka are two of my favourites.

SittingontheSidelines · 18/11/2019 12:18

@Twit the line and coconut chicken sounds good. Have you got a recipe?

I've also had a non scale victory. The expensive but heavily reduced price pyjamas I bought, and which have been languishing in my wardrobe for months, now fit.

IWillWearTheGreenWillow · 18/11/2019 12:26

Thanks BIWI, glad you're feeling better. I do have low blood pressure, as it happens (it's quite normal to feel faint after standing up too quickly), so it could well be that and the additional water. I've also noticed recently that the floor seems too far away and I'm afraid I'm going to fall, so I'll get that looked at.

princessbear80 · 18/11/2019 12:32

Hope any one feeling poorly gets well soon.

I’m at the end of week four as started a week later. 1lb down, 10.5lb in total so far. Feeling great. I’m 0.5lb off my next mini target, which will be my lowest weight of the summer.

I’m finding that an early lunch and a normal dinner are all I need most days, so I’ve fallen into intermittent fasting.

Nonononon · 18/11/2019 12:38

Iwillwear
I've been feeling the same as you, except I also have been having really bad anxiety attacks. My heart felt like it was pounding this morning when I walked up the stairs and I'm having the same feeling faint when standing up.
I have lowish blood pressure too so maybe it's that as I do feel slightly better once I've eaten but not normal. I'm waiting for a call back from my gp today to discuss this and anxiety as it's really affecting me and I don't even want to go outside Sad

I'm wondering if I'm not eating enough?? The intermittent fasting was going good but maybe I'm not having enough at meal times??

Summery1 · 18/11/2019 12:48

STS - Stayed The Same.
I'm happy enough with that as I'm pretty close to target and within a healthy BMI. I'm struggling to get into the low carb 'zone'.
Today I'm 155.6 lbs, 11st 1.6lbs in old money.

Anyway I'm up for a reboot, and keen to restart. Halo
B: scrambled eggs (3) with spinach mushrooms tomatoes and blue cheese. Coffee with cream.

BIWI · 18/11/2019 13:18

@IWillWearTheGreenWillow and @Nonononon it could also be that your electrolytes are out of whack. Are you using salt with your food? Cooking with it and adding it to your cooked food? You also need to make sure you're getting magnesium and potassium - salmon, avocado, nuts, spinach and full fat yoghurt are all good for those.

I'd try some electrolyte tabs in the short term, just to make sure - buy some Zero tabs, made by High5 - from Holland & Barratt or Evans Cycles - or from the High5 website

OP posts:
Nonononon · 18/11/2019 13:19

Ok thanks I'll pop into Holland and Barrett today and get some of those Smile

ShagMeRiggins · 18/11/2019 14:42

BIWI are the electrolyte tabs any better than a hot bouillon, in your experience?

TamingToddler · 18/11/2019 15:33

I posted my weight yesterday thinking it was Monday. Said I'd gained lb. Actually had a whoosh this morning and am an extra lb and a half off! Drank all my water yesterday after a crappy water week so I'm putting it down to that!

Nonononon · 18/11/2019 15:57

Oh. Food today
L: was a hot smoked salmon fillet and scrambled eggs fried in butter (x3 eggs)
D: roast shoulder of pork, broccoli in a cheese sauce, kale and roast shallots.

Spoke to the gp and she suggested reducing my medication (sertraline) as apparantly it can cause anxiety Confused who knew! She also wants me to have bloods taken and a 24 hour ECG Shock to monitor my heart.
I've been having issues for a long time so although I did mention this diet she was keen to rule everything else out.
If everything comes back ok then she said they can start me on a beta-blocker.
Anyone here had these before?? They sound scary but I can't keep gping on with feeling like I'm going to die every other day either..

Nonononon · 18/11/2019 16:10

Oh. I also didnt get the ingredients for keto brownies so I won't be having them either 😭
