Morning peeps!

Sorry for the late start but had to deal with builders/deliveries etc first thing.

So we have reached the final week. Here's the SoF for its penultimate outing

Hopefully it's a good result (well done @MrsBertBibby!) and hopefully we can pick up/get back the motivation for one last week, before our final weigh-in next Monday.

I was at my niece's hen do on Saturday, which started off with the most fabulous afternoon tea (Betty's in York) so it was a complete and utter carb fest all day after that!). But I have three weeks before the actual wedding, so will be back on it with a vengeance as I have to buy A Dress Confused

Ffs 😡 DH ate my egg mayo that I was saving. He's a bloody locust, and having to ringfence food from his voracious appetite was the main reason why I put weight on in the first place. He did this on Saturday too. He had a friend round for a bbq, had an enormous steak, 2 burgers, sausage and chorizo sausage. I had a very modest 1/2 burger (no bun), which I had left inside as I was dealing with DC. I came back and he had bloody well eaten it as well. I was so fucking cross that I left him and friend to it and went to bed early. And he's effing well done it again. His appetite actually makes me feel nauseated.

And Breathe. 🏝

MrsBert yum. I had amazing cauliflower cheese last night with a pork steak and greens. I love the method I got from bootcamp where you also steam all the stalky bits and leaves separately and whizz them into the sauce. I used half creme fraiche and half cream cheese last night with mustard and lots of cheddar.

Is there any point at all in stopping now and maintaining for a bit so that this weight ‘settles’. Or is that completely unscientific bollocks I have just made up Hmm

Great first day -

Creamy coffee for breakfast not ideal, need to get back in habit of having breakfast

Chicken tikka salad for lunch

Thai green curry cooked in sesame oil with chicken, spinach and kale added and lovely Chinese chill oil YUM

I snacked on some pork scratchings and, I know they're not allowed during first two weeks of bootcamp, but I had 3 Brazil nuts. I am TTC and for health reasons have a small portion of nuts a day.

We are going away until Sunday, but will probably be posting.
Nigella I know the feeling, mine always want to eat my roasted beans etc, I have taken to positioning them next to me on the table and serving myself before they swoop . Rayna sounds like a lovely evening 😀.

....although I haven't had any since Friday, while I was on the egg fast.

I think your body will tell you if it needs to stall maintain, so I'd continue with this WoE and see what your weight does.

I bloody stayed the same on Monday. Considering this egg fast thing but not worth starting until Sunday as I have a dinner party Saturday night.

So if I start Sunday and do it for 3-4 days, I might just end on a whoosh and even though it will be late, I’ll cheat and take it.

My fantasy is to end this bootcamp where I ended the March 2018 Bootcamp (186ish?), which had been my lowest since—well—since I first did IPD in 2008.

So a clean slate of sorts, or so I’m telling myself.

Have been low energy and low activity and low motivation these past few days. Getting stuff done but zero oomph. Watch this space for How a ShagMe Got Her Groove Back.

Fab result Almahart.

I wish I could have 2-3 Brazil nuts daily. Sadly I don't have the discipline, and all nuts are too moreish for me. 1-2 nuts turn into 3 handfuls.

We're off to France early on Saturday, so final weigh in for me will be tomorrow. Im feeling really great, into jeans I haven't worn for years, and have lost almost 2 1/2 stone. I'm almost at my main target, although I have at least another stone to lose, possibly 2. Despite feeling fab, I have that awful thing where I catch a glimpse of myself from an unflattering angle and judge harshly. I need to stop that.

I think I am also a bit discombobulated today and yesterday as I saw my workplace bully / stalker jogging past my house yesterday, and poor DH and his annoying egg mayo eating ways got the brunt of it. I'm quite perturbed by it and don't really know what to do. Confused

I suspect it's unscientific bollocks, to be used as an excuse Wink

There is a theory that the body has 'set points' that it likes to stick at, but I have no idea if there's any evidence to support that.

But why, I would ask, would you need to stop now? Keep going! If you keep going you'll get to the 'end' more quickly than if you stop, surely?

@NigellaAwesome I feel your pain. I occasionally buy low carb treats for myself, and ended up having to hide them from the rest of the family! I also share your pain re the mirror. Bastard thing! I went dress shopping yesterday for an outfit for my niece's wedding. I bought a lovely dress, albeit in a size bigger than I thought I was Hmm, and I swear the mirrors in changing rooms are like something out of a fun fair, designed to make you look horribly massive in all the wrong places!

I've been doing Low Carb since 17th June and at today I am 8lb downs.

I've been doing the low carb high fat plus intermittent fasting.

almaha I have been maintaining between boot camps (with 'healthy' carbs (lentils, beans etc NO flour / bread / potatoes)and low fat one day per week). It has helped me to get that this is a way of life, not a weight loss diet.

However I'm within 2lbs of my final, final goal, so I will be carrying on strict BC for a couple of weeks, with my fingers crossed that I make it.

Egg fast has been abandoned. Not feeling well and not in the mood for restricted eating (to that degree) on top of it. Will try again when feeling better.

Really great to hear that some of you are so close to goal, so encouraging. Feeling really demotivated today, which I know is combination of not feeling well and grumpy from the heat (which I HATE), but goal feels a long way off. Would really, really love to get below 160lbs and into 150s. I thought I was doing everything right but it’s just dragging so bloody much. Think I’m going to start logging on MFP again to check my portion sizes and carbs, it has to be total cal overload or I’m just overdoing the veg too much.

Enjoy your hols to all those setting off today/this weekend. Can’t believe the year is over already!

Sausages for tea with twice baked veg bake (leftovers that I’m going to jazz up and bulk out with slightly different veg, add more cheese and bung in oven) Grin

Hello to flowerpower too. Good to have some fresh blood aboard for the koko threads which I think a fair chunk of us are going to be using.

At this rate, I will take getting through the summer and preferably to Christmas without having gained anything again, as my goal. That’s it. Just that. Not greedy (well apart from the whole getting here in first place part), just maintain my losses so far. That will be enough for me.
