Morning peeps!

Sorry for the late start but had to deal with builders/deliveries etc first thing.

So we have reached the final week. Here's the SoF for its penultimate outing

Hopefully it's a good result (well done @MrsBertBibby!) and hopefully we can pick up/get back the motivation for one last week, before our final weigh-in next Monday.

I was at my niece's hen do on Saturday, which started off with the most fabulous afternoon tea (Betty's in York) so it was a complete and utter carb fest all day after that!). But I have three weeks before the actual wedding, so will be back on it with a vengeance as I have to buy A Dress Confused

Good luck everyone Flowers

chipping my 'go to' high fat hits are:

  • bullet proof chocolatte
  • peanut butter bombs
  • pizza bombs
ChippingInLowCarbing · 16/07/2019 20:52

Thanks nigella I’ll order some tomorrow (can you PM if ordering the chocolate one would be a mistake! Or if you have any other tips/suggestions & don’t want to post them on the thread. Thanks!)

MrsBB I have tried others, but not that one, I’ve added it to my basket. Thanks

venus&mars firstly congrats on doing so well on your holiday! Your self control
Is admirable. You deserve not to have put on more than half a pound! 🌷

Could you please post or link to the recipes you use for those, they sound good!!

venusandmars · 16/07/2019 21:05

Chocolatte 1 desert spoon coconut oil, 1 desert spoon butter, heaped teaspoon of raw organic cocoa powder, some boiling water. Once fats are melted add double cream. Mix with a blender till frothy.

Peanut butter bombs Something like this but without the stevia / sweetner - www.ruled.me/coconut-peanut-butter-balls/ I use toasted coconut on the outside, adds sweetness and crunch.

Pizza Bombs this but without the pepperoni pizza bombs

Cheesy creamed spinach delicious recipe here

Pizza Dip try the mushroom and green pepper one

ilovetea69 · 16/07/2019 21:09

Can I please join?

Got a pesky stone or so to lose which I've got close too last time I cut carbs and then regained when I went back to eating normally.

Almahart · 16/07/2019 22:11

venusandmars thank you, they look great!

Youwanapizzame · 16/07/2019 22:27

@almahart I'd live the recipe for the creamy lemony broccoli! Sounds yum. I want pork and crackling now too...

We went fruit picking yesterday for the 1st time. Came home with strawbs redcurrants, courgette, a massive cauliflower a broccoli and a couple.of beetroot and carrots for.the kids! Was a fab day out and I've made strawberry Nd cream lollies. Hope they're nice! 😁

Almahart · 16/07/2019 22:42

youwanapizzame I cooked broccoli until al dente, and put it in the oven with cream, grated Parmesan and tons of lemon juice and black pepper. It was delicious!

Summery1 · 17/07/2019 00:49

Hi All. I'm away for a few days so can't weigh. I've been doing tons of exercise, but slipping a bit on the LC. Reading thread 9 & 10 is so supportive. It really is a journey, not a destination.
I'll KOKO and weigh as soon as I can.

MrsBertBibby · 17/07/2019 07:56

Hello Tea69 bootcamp finishes on Monday (gulp) but I think most of us are carrying on (with holidays) so feel free to join in!

Chipping the cheapo parmesan isn't as lovely as that dimly remembered gourmet stuff, obvs, but it packs a God damn flavour punch.

MrsBertBibby · 17/07/2019 08:01

Sainsbos stopped it being vegetarian at one point, some kind soul (on MN, I think) alerted me that it had gone back to veggie. Great joy!

prettybird · 17/07/2019 08:25

Welcome ilovetea69 Flowers

We'll be continuing chatting after the end of the formal Boot Camp, so jump on in. Read the Rules in the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness and jump on in. 2 weeks strict Boot Camp and then you can go onto (if you want) Boot Camp Light. Ask questions as you go along. You might find it useful to read the corresponding thread for each week of Boot Camp (especially the first 4 weeks) as they'll help you understand the experiences and challenges we all go through.

The other thing I'd advise, even more than weighing, is to take your measurements Grin That helps, as often there is movement, even when the scales apparently stall. Plus you see the healthy impact of your waist reducing Wink

18pagesfrontandback · 17/07/2019 08:32

You know what goes really well with that particular Tom Jones number though VeryLittleOwl, and in keeping with the recipes Venus’ has just posted so is also RIGHT ON MESSAGE?

Altogether now: ‘...fat bomb, fat bomb...’

And if you’re all not shimmying along to that, there’s no hope!

Right...
DAY ONE EGG FAST:

Eggs: 0
Coffees: 1 black

18pagesfrontandback · 17/07/2019 08:38

Chipping - you have infinite patience. I really don’t know how TF I’d cope in your situ. Bastard news about the basil tofu! I hate tofu but was almost tempted to try that o e off the back off your evangelising about it. So Flowers for you.

Welcome tea69 Brew

Hmmm... tea

MrsBertBibby · 17/07/2019 08:49

Tea's up in this house!

Almahart · 17/07/2019 09:09

Watching with extreme interest 18pages, I’ve just checked and could do Monday,Tuesday and Wednesday next week

18pagesfrontandback · 17/07/2019 11:21

Anybody out there who has butter in their coffee, how much do you add?

Have managed to find my hand blender so going to give it a go.

venusandmars · 17/07/2019 11:25

I'm not quite doing the egg fast but eating eggs whenever possible

B/L Creamy scrambled eggs and bacon
D - Salad Nicoise (with boiled eggs)

Next week is a bit easier in my diary (and my commitments to cook for other people), so I'll have 3 days of egg fast then (with a little bit of added cheese and bacon)

18pagesfrontandback · 17/07/2019 11:39

I really like that idea Venus. I imagine a bit of bacon here, a spring onion or lettuce wrap there, would make all the difference.

And the other suggestion some campers made last week for doing it slim fast style - eggs for breakfast and lunch then a normal evening meal.

So many eggciting options...

Boiled eggs with salt for lunch here. And a coffee with butter if I can work out how much to put in.

venusandmars · 17/07/2019 12:36

A 'knob' (whatever size that is Wink )

18pagesfrontandback · 17/07/2019 13:02

I think we’re all going to have less butter in our coffee than we imagined then...

18pagesfrontandback · 17/07/2019 13:13

Well I did try it in the end with a tbsp worth.
Question: Do eggs liquify your brains? Asking for a friend.

And in other totally unrelated news, it’s obviously been a while since I was last acquainted with my stick blender, a while long enough that I completely forgot about the importance of using the right sized vessel for whizzing stuff up. So my first attempt ended up mostly over the side, coffee machine and down my lovely pale blue shirt and trews. Hmm Second attempt (MADE IN A KILNER JAR) was actually very nice. All the better for being IN a coffee cup. Didn’t really know what to expect but was surprised to see it transform into normal looking coffee and taste was on par with cream I think.

Eggs: 1 boiled. Scoffed whole.

I’ve just no appetite today, feeling a bit off colour now actually. Totally unrelated to eggs given that I’ve only had one.

venusandmars · 17/07/2019 13:43

No appetite 18pages ? Maybe that's because you had coffee with butter - high fat, feeling satiated...

Almahart · 17/07/2019 14:02

I find bullet proof coffees very rich

Rayna37 · 17/07/2019 19:28

B: 2 scrambled eggs
L: boiled eggs mashed up with cheese, mayo and chopped tomato on top of cucumber, spinach&lettuce dressed with olive oil
D: salmon, green beans and broccoli roasted with oil and chilli flakes, buttery sautéed kale. No snacks, Water target hit, really good day, no snacks.
Not running as have a sore throat and had a terrible run on Monday but might do some yoga before a bath and Wild Bill. At nearly 40 is it ok this is my idea of a brilliant evening?! Grin

Rayna37 · 17/07/2019 19:29

Oh also yogurt with almond butter at lunch too [full disclosure]
