Morning all.

Very late arrival home last night - flight left Amsterdam over 2 hours late, so didn't get home till almost 2 am. Cue night of horrible insomnia - despite fatigue!

And of course, was finally fast asleep when the alarm went off Hmm

Anyway here is the spreadsheet

I haven't had time to catch up on all the posts, so not sure if this is going to be a great Monday or otherwise!

But fingers crossed all has gone well this week. Will read all the posts and come back later.

Beewee for sure

I made mrsbert almond biscuits for breakfast which was a tad ambitious on a school morning but they totally hit the spot with lots of cold butter

Rayna glad you liked the Leon truffle pot I was gutted when I was last at Euston as the queue was too huge for me to get one before the train

Notwatchingtvtoday · 27/06/2019 08:40

Morning, shagmeriggins I absolutely took to mean needing a good shag 😀 I obviously have a potty mouth. biwi bee wee.

I had a good day yesterday as I took food with me as planned, I did buy myself a grilled chicken wrap in McDonald’s whilst darling daughter was having a cheese burger, pre show treat and her choice. I tried the grilled chicken and it was so sweet, so went back to my lovely Tupperware container of salad ! It was a bit of a wake up call as to how manipulated some food is.

I was down again today, 10 stone 7 .5 lbs so I am going to stop worrying about my teaspoons of Marsacapone as they appear to be helping me loose weight 😀 which I do find very hard to comprehend.

So today .....

Water and more water
1 tea with milk
coffee with butter and 1 tsp double cream
B Greek yogurt, 1 tsp double cream, 1 teaspoon Linwoods and 1 frozen raspberry crumbed over the top
L not sure, as at dentist having a filling replaced this morning , so will have a numb mouth
D very early dinner, probably beef with cabbage and Celaric mash, have to be out for school event at 5:45

prettybird · 27/06/2019 08:50

I too though that about Shag's name BlushGrin

Rshard · 27/06/2019 09:13

Will be near a Leon next week, def going to try the truffle pot.

Nice loss notwatching! And swerving the McD’s.

I’m having a go at 8:16 today - is that right? Bit of a risk as I’m at home and supposed to be doing uni work but obviously seeking distractions where I can find them. But I figured I can do myself a good lunch. Ok so far, already drank 1l water

TheWayOfTheWorld · 27/06/2019 10:25

I'm wondering if I have been having too much protein, as during the week I normally have sausages and a creamy coffee for breakfast.

This week I have been home and made a batch of almond flour/cream cheese pancakes which I have had for breakfast the last 3 days (with a slosh of cream and some raspberries) - and have dropped another 1.2lbs since Monday. Or maybe it has just coincided with a mini whoosh (correlation not being causation and what have you).

By the by, I have another 4 portions of BeeWee's tartiflette left, looking forward to those!

TheWayOfTheWorld · 27/06/2019 10:27

Good willpower @Notwatchingtvtoday! And interesting on how you actively chose to leave the chicken and go back to your own lovely salad. If only you could bottle that feeling and sell it!

18pagesfrontandback · 27/06/2019 10:47

Sign me up for the pancakes, raspberries and cream for breakfast whoosh diet! Don’t you just love this woe!

Scales today showing I’m EXACTLY where I was last Fri, so it’s all in the overnight whoosh

I know it’s not all about the numbers blah blah but I really need to see a numerical drop. It would very much help psychologically and cheer me up no end.

18pagesfrontandback · 27/06/2019 10:51

Oh and I managed to get to Waitrose after school run this morning. Have joined the bought-a-bundle-of-reduced-celeriac gang. AND found the frozen stuff too. Are they like buses? None for aeons, then whoosh, surrounded by the buggers.
Also bought some of the frozen whole shallots because I can never find them when I want them!

Really looking forward to trying a dauphinois with them. Need to check tartiflette for ingredients as might not have it all in yet.

Rshard · 27/06/2019 10:55

Are those pancakes on one of the recipe threads thewayoftheworld? Did you make a batch and then use them on other mornings or are you making them from scratch each day?

TheWayOfTheWorld · 27/06/2019 11:02

@18pagesfrontandback all the frozen celeriac was gone when I went into Waitrose the other day .

@Rshard I'm not sure, I got the recipe from Sugar Free Londoner https://sugarfreelondoner.com/almond-cream-cheese-pancakes/ - I could add the link on the recipe thread?

I made the whole batch and then stored them in the fridge. I was planning to freeze them so put them between sheets of baking parchment. Just popped them into the microwave for 45 secs to reheat Smile

MrsBertBibby · 27/06/2019 11:39

Glad they hit the spot Alma

And definitely Bee Wee. although I'm not sure bees wee. They definitely poo. On fine days after a rainy spell they evacuate the hive en masse in order to evacuate their tiny intestines.

Rshard · 27/06/2019 12:38

Thanks thewayoftheworld, I’ll give them a try. I think def put the on one of the recipe threads.

I’ve just had one of my favourite lunches on this woe - halloumi and smoked bacon salad. 😋

Nameusernameuser · 27/06/2019 13:42

Do any other daily weighers find their weight fluctuates massively? I was up 3lbs today, wonder what caused that?
Also, is it possible to be eating too little on this way of eating, I think some days my calories are on the low side but I feel I've eaten loads, and I'm a bit worried I'm not getting enough fibre, even with the amount of salad/veg I'm eating?

MrsBertBibby · 27/06/2019 14:55

Man I am depressed. I just looked at pics from last summer when I was just under where I am now and I still look so bloody fat.

It's not worth all this bother if I will still look like a fucking whale.

prettybird · 27/06/2019 15:55

That's your all of our critical eye judging yourself MrsBert Hmm - I bet other people looking at you don't see a whale Confused

Remember Gok Wan's series "How to look good naked" ? How when participants' pictures were put up in billboards etc, the public were seeing all the good things about their body, whereas the participant could only see that they were, in their mind's eye, just fat Sad They'd forgotten how to be kind to themselves and to appreciate their good points.

So, be kind to yourself! Smile

Also, remember all the other benefits of this WoE: the health benefits, the increased energy, the tasty food Grin

MrsTerryPratchett · 27/06/2019 16:01

It's not worth all this bother if I will still look like a fucking whale.

Fuck that. We all know twinkly, gorgeous, overweight women. And we all know the skinny people with no confidence. Stay twinkly until this works.

And it might be 'bother' but I feel better, dipping bacon in mayonnaise, than I ever did guiltily having another rice cake.

1Wildheartsease · 27/06/2019 17:42

I agree MrsTerryPratchett - bacon/mayo/cream -all ingredients for making you happy and satisfied inside. This came home to me yesterday as I listened to a calorie-counter friend having a go at herself for 'binging' -because she ate too many low fat foods. (She is a vegan - so not keen to try LCHF. We are patient with each other.) That used to be me.

ShagMeRiggins - I also have a fixed mental image of you swashbuckling with eye-patch/scarf/earrings/ and parrot. (I do live in a coastal town where they all voted for Brexit in order to get back to earning a living in the traditional smuggling ways.)

Sorry to hear about the sickness @MumbleLumble - but BIG congratulations too. (Perhaps choose names with initials that spell out BIWI or LCHF?)

ShagMeRiggins · 27/06/2019 19:23

Man, I clearly missed a laugh riot last night. Catching up on this thread has me smiling and actually cackling a bit.

Funny about the pirate thing—it’s definitely a reference to the Tim Riggins character on Friday Night Lights, and I think I even changed username on one of these boot amps in an exchange with another appreciator of said Riggins. But...my “clothing personality” (House of Colour) is Romantic Natural, whose archetype is “Head Pirate.” So now I love my username even more.

Couldn’t imagine BIWI as anything other than BEE WEE. But fully appreciated the many line readings given by 18pages in the hopes of passing the audition.

Celeriac discussions is still gripping.

And MrsBert, what fuckery is this statement, “It's not worth all this bother if I will still look like a fucking whale.”? I’ve been there, I think I know that feeling, but... Stop. That. Right. Now. That is all.

WATER! WATER! EATER!

ShagMeRiggins · 27/06/2019 20:03

WATER! WATER! EATER! Hmm

Unfortunate typo for a weight loss forum.

prettybird · 27/06/2019 20:18

I didn't want to say Wink

Having said that, in this hot weather, we should be drinking even more than our "prescribed" amount - and added electrolytes are also important.

18pagesfrontandback · 27/06/2019 20:21

Love those Bee facts MrsBert - everyday’s a school day!

And fwiw, I’m with Prettybird ShagMe and MrsTP re the ‘whale’ comments, but at same time am totally with you on the hating photos of yourself front. My biggest hate of the mo, is catching sight of my reflection. No matter how good a day I am otherwise having, or how much progress I think I can see/feel, one glance at myself in a reflection and I’m floored again. Even my fucking shadow when I’m walking the dogs in the evening! It’s so short and wide and no-necked. Ffs.
So yeah, but also, no! We are better than thinking like that. Altogether now... because we are worth (more) it! Wink

18pagesfrontandback · 27/06/2019 20:26

Lol ShagMe Grin Who knew re celeriac eh? Such an unassuming looking veg (it is a veg yes? Not a fruit or nut etc?) and yet...

Am now off to google House of Colours...

18pagesfrontandback · 27/06/2019 20:27

Is hubby back and erm... making himself useful?

18pagesfrontandback · 27/06/2019 20:29

Being a bunch of flowers..?

Lol, just roared at myself. Oh dear... easily amused etc.

BIWI · 27/06/2019 20:32

It is DEFINITELY BeeWee
