Morning all.

Very late arrival home last night - flight left Amsterdam over 2 hours late, so didn't get home till almost 2 am. Cue night of horrible insomnia - despite fatigue!

And of course, was finally fast asleep when the alarm went off Hmm

Anyway here is the spreadsheet

I haven't had time to catch up on all the posts, so not sure if this is going to be a great Monday or otherwise!

But fingers crossed all has gone well this week. Will read all the posts and come back later.

Basically I want something I can put butter on

SittingontheSidelines · 26/06/2019 18:51

I put butter on my crepes (cream cheese and egg mix). Sorry if I keep banging on about them.

MrsBertBibby · 26/06/2019 19:15

These are good and easy. Like savoury scones. You can add spices or whatever if you like.

www.wholesomeyum.com/recipes/paleo-almond-flour-biscuits-low-carb-gluten-free/

Terrible to reheat though!

MrsBertBibby · 26/06/2019 19:17

And I use ground almond. I have no idea if it is different to almond flour. Never seen almond flour anyway.

Almahart · 26/06/2019 19:33

No, nor have I, perhaps it is the American name

Rayna37 · 26/06/2019 19:44

Almahart I think you can use ground almonds but almond flour is more finely ground (and less widely available) so the outcome will be a little different.

Have ordered ribeye topped with garlic prawns, swapped my chips for the veg medley, added salt and pepper butter for the veg and have a large bottle of sparkling water. Reflecting on all the times I stayed here pregnant and was just thinking (in Mumble's honour) how this WoE is probably less than restrictive pregnancy diet: limited alcohol, limited caffeine and no rare meat! Though don't let anyone warn you off partially cooked eggs (that's now considered fine) or shellfish (can't find evidence that was ever an issue but people seemed to be fixated on how I shouldn't be eating prawns).

Rayna37 · 26/06/2019 19:48

Nigella knees and shorts! I just did yoga in shorts, hadn't realised I never do but OMG my knees in downward dog (or "facie dog" as I now call this after a recent class in Greece Grin) were like my late Gran's ConfusedShock
It was just those particular shorts, right?

Doilooklikeatourist · 26/06/2019 19:50

Almahart I put butter on slices of ham 😀
Nigella shorts always difficult , fake tan helps 🌞
Shagmeriggins yep , I always thought your name was pirates of the Caribbean related ... Captain Jack .. up against the riggings ❤️
Rayna I made my own truffle mushrooms eggs ( never been in a Leon , so cant compare )
Sweat sliced mushrooms in butter , add loads of salt and pepper and then some olive oil
Poach 2 eggs ( I just made a dip in the pan and added the eggs , put a lid on and let them cook )
Drizzle with truffle oil and dig in

Youwanapizzame · 26/06/2019 20:49

Lol @ sideknee

Cant wait to get back properly into fat burning. Never mind side knee, my ankles seem to have sprouted side ankles... bloomin cankles... obviously holding water...

Dinner was lovely I did a chicken tray bake that I've done before but with chorizo instead of bacon. Yum

Lol at the hive mind pirate-y interpretation of ShagMeRiggins Grin Feel relieved it wasn’t just me out of the loop so to speak.

Perhaps, ShagMe, you weren’t being clear enough with your intentions/wishes? Maybe something along lines of...

I made the celeriac tartiflette for dinner - just wondering if I reduced the white wine/cream enough as there is a bit of liquid at the bottom...

Breakfast mug hot almond milk.

Lunch was a spiced burger with cheese and yogurt and roast green beans

Dinner. Hm asparagus soup. A strawberry and some yogurt.

SittingontheSidelines · 26/06/2019 21:04

Oh oh oh and how could I forget. The celariacs have landed. How much more exciting can life get. Grin

SittingontheSidelines · 26/06/2019 21:05

That tartiflat looks delicious.

TheWayOfTheWorld · 26/06/2019 21:11

Make yourself one @SittingontheSidelines - it was fairly easy, don't know why I haven't done it before. Plenty of leftovers all for meeeee because all the other occupants of the house refuse to try celeriac - more fool them!

18pagesfrontandback · 26/06/2019 21:48

I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly celeriac roasted up yesterday for dinner. Made an all in one oven tray using up bits and pieces of ropey veg, chorizo etc and it was lovely and relatively speedy compared to spuds or swede.
Am still to conquer the freezer section in Waitrose for it. Or make a tartiflette or dauphinois but it’s all on the TO DO list.

Thanks for the recommendation Alma - I do like a good tracking app, not sure it’s for me in this instance, but I know somebody who would benefit from it so will take a look.

I’m in bed. Have been for an hour. My attempt at catching up on sleep and shrinking my bags a bit. Going well...

Fasted* again today, dinner at 7p.m. Felt a bit hungrier by dinner tonight, but otherwise going surprisingly well. Come on you bastard scales, play nice on Friday. I need to finish bootcamp at least a few pounds lighter than I started!

*24 hrs but with a couple of creamy coffees and a bouillon so not in strictest sense.

BIWI · 26/06/2019 21:53

Congratulations @MumbleLumble! Lovely news! But please don't call the baby BIWI Grin

Have just remembered I’m away at a conference next week - what on earth will I eat Confused

18pagesfrontandback · 26/06/2019 22:45

Oh no, good luck with it Alma

Having had the Riggins discussion, I now have to check also... I know that BIWI stands for ‘because I’m worth it’ but we are all saying BIWI like ‘Beewee’ in our heads when reading posts, yes? Confused

Or what are you all doing if not?

18pagesfrontandback · 26/06/2019 22:48

Or is it like WiFi? BuyWhy?

Or is anyone actually saying Bee Eye Double You Eye?

Grin
