Morning all.

Very late arrival home last night - flight left Amsterdam over 2 hours late, so didn't get home till almost 2 am. Cue night of horrible insomnia - despite fatigue!

And of course, was finally fast asleep when the alarm went off Hmm

Anyway here is the spreadsheet

I haven't had time to catch up on all the posts, so not sure if this is going to be a great Monday or otherwise!

But fingers crossed all has gone well this week. Will read all the posts and come back later.

Hallo! Nudging just into the 10 stones depending where the scales are on the bathroom floor Wink

Am on my third day of going back to strict BC, I can get down to my target weight this BC if I lose around 7ibs, so am going to go for it

The only tricky thing coming up is a weekend away with two friends between weeks 8&9. I will definitely drink then and would have liked to have been on maintenance by then but that’s looking unlikely

MrsBertBibby · 24/06/2019 08:37

Oooh, stone drops are so exciting! Well done Alma

Morning all. Another 2.5lb down here, nice after last week's sts.

SittingontheSidelines · 24/06/2019 08:37

Was really strict after a not so good beginning last week. So I got on the scales yesterday and after the week before last STS and last week forgetting to weigh I was three pounds down. Got on today and the three pounds is back on. I'm taking yesterday's weight which means 7lb so far this boot camp. (If I accept today's weight I will be disheartened). Going to go put it on the spread sheet.

MrsBertBibby · 24/06/2019 08:39

Sorry you had a bad night Biwi. Blasted fox Cubs woke me at 3.00am and didn't get back to sleep until just in time for the alarm Confused

Summery1 · 24/06/2019 08:43

Hi BIWI. Glad you're home in 1 piece. Thanks for getting #7 going.

Weight: 11st 5.25. This is down 1lb this week and down 7.75lb since the start. I did weigh lighter during the week, but a not great weekend foodwise...

I'm a little disheartened when I read others losses of 14+lbs (sorry). But my BMI has gotten into the healthy range (24 now, was 25+). I've lots of NSV (all of my too small clothes fit), I feel really well on LCHF. I'm just musing to myself, I'm definitely getting back to this.

KOKO all, especially those not impressed by the scales today.

IStillMissBlockbuster · 24/06/2019 08:47

I haven't had time to get on the scales this morning. I had a busy weekend, surrounded by cake etc which was a challenge. I had probably too many strawberries with cream to make up for it. Friday saw a loss of 2lbs but I'm bobbing around a sticky weight for me so I wouldn't be surprised if there have been changes. We'll see and good luck to everyone else x

BIWI · 24/06/2019 08:47

@Summery1 - if you're into the healthy BMI range then you probably don't have too much to lose, which is why your rate of loss seems slower.

Remember - it's not a competition!

@MrsBertBibby ah yes. The lovely shrieking of foxes. Not!

I'm down to 207lbs which I'm pleased with - 16lbs in total so far. I'm so impatient though - I can't wait to get below 200 lbs. I took some photos at the start of bootcamp, and my side pose was not a good look at all - I had a huge tummy! It's starting to improve.

I've got a very difficult report to write today that has been hanging over me for months. I Must Step Away from MN and just go and bloody do it.

Rayna37 · 24/06/2019 08:56

3lbs of holiday gain off this week which takes me to 3.8lbs from target and 3.6lbs from lowest weight seen this bootcamp. I had a lot of things I shouldn't this weekend so hope another few weeks of being strict should see me right.
I'm enjoying doing yoga at home and need to get back on with the running now. Today's plan:
B: scrambled eggs
L: leftover Spanish chicken & chorizo stew, Greek yogurt
D: lamb tagine in the slow cooker - this is a bit carby (includes butternut squash and chickpeas as well as lots of lovely veg) but I've been putting off making it for weeks and really need to empty the freezer! I did leave out the prunes Halo

Notwatchingtvtoday · 24/06/2019 09:01

Morning
Sympathy Biwi and MrsBertBibby our dog woke me up at 1 and he did not settle until 2:30, I was up and down stairs to him, as he never normally barks in the night, he barked and cried for 1 and a half hours, I did laps of my garden, spoke nicely to him, swore at him and eventually moved his cage into the utility room and he finally settled.
Something had disturbed him the night before as well, so fingers crossed for tonight.
I am logging yesterday’s weight as I was up on that this morning, I’m not sure if it was the strawberries and cream I had or if I just needed the loo. The strawberries tasted so sweet and lovely, but definitely don’t think I will have them again whilst on boot camp. With yesterday’s weight I am 10 stone 9lbs so virtually back to where I was pre holiday. 3 weeks to go and I am going to try to make it as strict as possible.

Today
B Greek total yogurt
L Frittata
D lamb and Celaric mash with FLGV

venusandmars · 24/06/2019 09:04

0.4 lb down

B - boiled egg mashed with butter
L - pate, cheese, salad, olive oil, mayonnaise
D - chicken, spinach and watercress soup

Doilooklikeatourist · 24/06/2019 09:21

Back on the straight and narrow this week , I just went completely off the rails the last couple of weeks , hopefully I’m back in the right mind frame now
B My own home made version of the Leon truffle , mushrooms and eggs ( very nice , if I say so myself )
L huge green salad , with tuna mayo and avo
D chicken breast with spinach , courgettes and more mushroom will make a cream sauce for mine and not for DH who doesn’t believe in LCHF
Have ice cubes in the fridge , and will be drinking WATER ! WATER ! WATER ! , posh sea salt flakes to crunch on my meals ,and magnesium supplements and I will not be beaten by carb flu

Nameusernameuser · 24/06/2019 09:25

I gained half a lb, which is fine because that wasnt my lowest weight of the week so will just keep going!

ChippingInLowCarbing · 24/06/2019 09:29

Hi all

BIWi that’s a rubbish end to time away/start if a new week. Did you at least enjoy Amsterdam?

Despite being MIA on the threads (life happened - sorry!) I have been a very very very good LC girl. Nothing off grid at all and only two squares of dark chocolate& a few strawberries and 2 glasses of wine and a few almonds/macadamias as per vegetarian allowance

This is the longest I’ve been strict in a few years so thank you for providing the extra incentive!!

I’d love to lose 12.5kg (27lb) this Bootcamp so I’ll use that as the ‘starting point

Started at 12.5
Now 8.8
3.7(8lb) so far

It’s always slow for me, but better slowly going down than shooting up!

My main point of doing Bootcamp though is my Blood Sugars (Diabetic type 2) if I LOW carb I can control my BS with DIET and NO MEDICATION

I’ve had an issue with my monitor and now have a new one which I think reads high but according to my new one I’m in the ‘acceptable For T2D range’ but I prefer to be in the ‘normal range’ which I might be if my meter is reading high. (It was compared to the one the DN had)

A couple of pairs of trousers are a bit roomier, but haven’t reached the ‘Falling Off me’ stage yet (that they were a few months ago)

I have NO ENERGY, I wish I was someone who was bursting with energy eating like this!

...and it’s costing me a fortune (as a non egg earring vegetarian) protein (mostly basil infused tofu & Cauldron tofu products) are expensive plus avocado & blue cheese etc eating crap carbs is a hell of a lot cheaper BUT I AM eating well, a ton of veg, fridge looks like a rabbit rescue resource 🙄)so at least I know I’m giving my body all the nutrition I can

I had blood tests done and there are some things I’m going to look into so hopefully that’ll help with the feeling exhausted all the time (pre dates Bootcamp, but I was hoping BC would help)

My knee is still really bad, orthopaedic consultant was a waste of time now have to wait for physio 🙄🙄

I HATE not walking!!

And I don’t think anti inflammatory & painkillers are helping things

Looking forward to catching up with everyone xx

TheWayOfTheWorld · 24/06/2019 09:33

1.8lb off to get me within 0.8lb of my mini goal of 145lb. Pleased with that, was stuck in the 147-148 range for a while so hopefully now having some little whooshes.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 24/06/2019 09:39

Whoop! Another 3lb off! Grand total of 19lb lost so far!!!

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 24/06/2019 09:42

Sorry @Summery1, hadn't seen your post when I posted. Sorry if it seems gloaty, wasn't meant to.

tootstastic · 24/06/2019 10:07

@BIWI thanks for the new thread, I hope you manage to rest letter after such a bad night.

@Almahart I'm pleased I'm not the only one who does the bathroom floor dance with the scales Grin

Only just managed to catch up with last thread, it’s been a busy week. A big well done to all the losers and a just keep going to all those struggling this week. Some weeks are harder than others, but as long as you don’t stop, you’ll get where you want to be eventually.

Almost 2lbs off for me this week (6.8lbs this BC). It’s been slow going but it’s going and I’m happy with that. This week alone a girl who works in my hairdresser’s, my Bodypump instructor, a woman in one of my gym classes and a school mum, have all stopped me to say how much weight I’ve lost/changed shape and I have to say, I'm feeling more and more ‘normal’ sized these days. So, it's all good.

Starting weight: 18st 10lbs (262lbs)
Weight now: 13st 11.9lbs (193.9lbs)
Lost so far: 4st 12.1lbs (68.1lbs)
Target: 9st 5lbs (131lbs)
Left to lose: 4st 6.9lbs (62.9lbs)

SittingontheSidelines · 24/06/2019 10:12

@BIWI I intended to say thanks for the new thread and hope you're trip was good and not tuned by the poor ending. Sorry got overlooked in the angst of my overnight weight gain.

i've decided that I will weigh daily from now on as if I hadn't popped on the scales yesterday I'd have assumed I'd stayed the same and been even more deflated. Yesterday and day before I missed my water quota so
WATER! WATER! WATER! And congrats and good luck to the rest of you.

SittingontheSidelines · 24/06/2019 10:13

Ruined not tuned

MrsBertBibby · 24/06/2019 10:15

That's fantastic Chipping. Meds free is just huge!

Good stuff Greebo!

Summery1 · 24/06/2019 10:20

Greebol! That is fantastic. I know we're both 5ft 8 - but we are rocking this. I keep thinking of a lb of butter and I've shed 8 of them. Nowt wrong with that.

ChippingInLowCarbing I'm a physio. Google sitting exercises for knees. You'll find some version of gentle exercise that you could start on.
Also google Lower Extremity Function Scale. Score yourself once per week (don't check backward) but you should see improvements after a few weeks.
Excess weight is hard on sore knees so bootcamp will help too.

Heartyhooker · 24/06/2019 10:35

No meds is fantastic @ChippingInLowCarbing especially as the meds basically just improve sugar intake into cells all ready to be converted into fat. @tootstastic well done , encouraging to see good losses when you've been doing it for a while. Thanks for the news thread @BIWI and hope you can take it easy today.
I'm a pound and a half up from last week , but worked Friday and Saturday nights and was rewarded with a cracking migraine yesterday, so expect I need to heed @Shagmeriggins call of water, water, water. Work is fairly hectic as have Palliative client at present . On a happier note ds2 is nine today and doesn't care if I make my own pizza instead of getting takeaway with the rest of them. Am off to try and recreate a pixel based computer game in malteasers on top of his cake

1stMrsF · 24/06/2019 10:43

Well done to everyone for KOKO, losses and NSVs.

Was feeling very disheartened this morning and that the best I could say about this BC is that I was managing to maintain quite well! However, the benefit of tracking was made clear when I went back to the spreadsheet this morning. Although no loss this week, and a lot of ups and downs in the last month, I am still 6lbs down for this BC and over 15% of body weight lost (and kept off) since the beginning of this year. Plus, I feel that my clothes are still continuing to get looser. There are still 4 weeks of BC to go, and I can still make a difference!

Looking back over the last few weeks, I can see that the problems for me are failing to plan (and then eating something inappropriate) and failing to to drink enough water. So I'm going to concentrate on those things for the next four weeks. I've done a shop and planned some evening meals, and I've just filled up my 2l water bottle.

Dinners:
Chicken and Cauliflower Alfredo
Cottage Pie with swede topping and ts broccoli
Roasted Chicken Thighs with roasted veg and feta
Saag Paneer
Leftovers of something on one of the days

Off to catch up with the threads for more inspiration. Have a good day!
