Morning all.

Very late arrival home last night - flight left Amsterdam over 2 hours late, so didn't get home till almost 2 am. Cue night of horrible insomnia - despite fatigue!

And of course, was finally fast asleep when the alarm went off Hmm

Anyway here is the spreadsheet

I haven't had time to catch up on all the posts, so not sure if this is going to be a great Monday or otherwise!

But fingers crossed all has gone well this week. Will read all the posts and come back later.

Delayed flights are the pits, aren't they?

I'm +2lbs this week, which I was expecting due to planned deviation on Saturday night. DH is away now until Sunday afternoon and I've been chicken-sitting for my neighbours and have about 24 eggs to use up as a result, so I'm guessing the next 6 days are going to be lunch: chicken salad, supper: omelette and veggies.

NSV today - apologies for the TMI, but I was surprised to find this morning that I should have had PMT for the last four or five days. Normally it affects me quite badly, this month didn't notice a thing!

18pagesfrontandback · 24/06/2019 11:47

Morning campers. Thanks BIWI for thread, and sympathies on the sleepless night, hope you get to catch up with it a bit. I had a sleepless night last week which combined with other woes I am fully blaming for going off the rails. Tiredness affects everything!

I weighed on Friday, and was pretty much maintaining, so I’m not recording a new weight today. If I did weigh myself today, I suspect the scales might say something like a 4-5lb gain since Fri, despite me moving them around and resetting holding the laundry bin etc. But I haven’t weighed so it doesn’t say that, and I’m still 4-5lbs lighter.

Today marks a fresh start and ditching recent bad habits. Mostly wine. I have now got into a daily wine habit - all medicinal because am going through some RL crap atm - and it needs to stop. For my mental health as much as, if not more than, physical. It’s such a depressant for me. I know it’s a vicious cycle and have been here many times before and am much better these days at dealing with life without these sorts of crutches, but it’s still so easy to slip and end up falling into bad habits again. The first few days are the hardest when that early evening switch bottle glass of wine calls. So if I can get through tonight/tmw I’m on my way!

ANYWAY, lots to be positive about, including maintaining my losses - am still down about a stone and a half from Christmas and haven’t been actively trying that whole time. So onwards and downwards!

Booze is out. Am going to use a bit of TRE/fasting to help kick things off as I think an initial loss might boost morale a bit which will help get me back into a more positive, healthy mindset.

Coffees with cream today. Lunch if I’m really hungry otherwise will be TRE until dinner tonight - loads of roasted halloumi with roasted veg and lashings of olive oil. Bit of 85% choc and a cup of tea at wine o’clock.

PLUS early bedtimes.

PLUS PLUS fuck load of WATER WATER WATER

Well done on all the losses and NSV. Chins up and KOKO to those not so happy with progress today. Flowers

18pagesfrontandback · 24/06/2019 11:52

P.s I found some celeriac!! Woohoo

Suddenly appeared in Tescos. Also tiny. Must have been a bad year for celeriac crops.

Rshard · 24/06/2019 12:01

Thanks for the new thread BIWI and boo to delayed flights.

Lovely to read of the losses, nsv’s and general koko!

Weighed on Friday where I’d lost the 2lbs I’d somehow put on between Wednesday and Thursday so I’m koko until Friday now.

Very pale yolks in eggs bought at the weekend, dd wondered if it was because the sun hasn’t been out much. Quite liked the logic there.

prettybird · 24/06/2019 13:22

Really pleased: despite the weekend away and all the wine Blush - I'm one pound down Smile That's half a stone this Boot Camp Grin ignoring the inconvenient fact that I'm only now back to where I was at the start of last year's Summer Boot Camp Blush

I've calculated that if I continue at 1lb per week, I can be at my target and into a normal BMI by Christmas Day Smile

So, memo to self: KOKO Grin

MrsTerryPratchett · 24/06/2019 15:17

One pound down, which is fine because it's that time at BC.

The big downfall is water. I have to be so conscious of it but if I don't, immediate issues. How do people do maintenance? Still drink lakes every day?

ShagMeRiggins · 24/06/2019 15:45

My scales say I’ve gained 8lbs in the past two days; my scales are dead to me.

I’m putting in as STS and I’m going to start logging weight on Fridays. Angry

MrsTerry, yep, lakes forever and ever. It’s what we should all be doing anyway, really, but at healthy weights it’s a smaller amount. More like a pond every day.

MrsTerryPratchett · 24/06/2019 15:56

my scales are dead to me.

Lying bastards. I have a patio...

Rshard · 24/06/2019 16:13

Christmas is a good deadline prettybird 🎄

Lol shag 😂

ShagMeRiggins · 24/06/2019 16:16

MrsTerry I’ll be right over with a shovel (and jackhammer, I suppose—think the neighbours will notice...?)

Wish I had time to reply to everyone because there was some funny stuff here, but will just day it’s great reading all the posts, keep ‘em coming.

Oh, and WATER! WATER! WATER!

1Wildheartsease · 24/06/2019 16:18

No loss this week.
I've stuck to LCHF but during work travels have had less water and less veg. I feel heavy and am happy to be home and back to the plan.
Lots of water
-Greek yogurt and a few berries - 1coffee and cream - 1 bullet proof coffee.
-spiced cauli and celeriac soup with LCbread roll cheese butter and tomato
Tonight - Pork chop and buttery cabbage.

Almahart · 24/06/2019 16:45

18pages I’ve been struggling with booze too. Have managed a couple of days without now. I know it stops me losing weight but more importantly makes me anxious

It’s hard

MumbleLumble · 24/06/2019 17:55

Accidentally posted on the old thread this morning but I'm down 2.2lb this week. Which is 17.4lb altogether. Only 1.4lb until I meet my mini target of seeing the scales start with a 10!

Well done everyone on their losses.

EatenalltheEasterEggs · 24/06/2019 19:21

1.5 pounds on meaning 13st 12.5. Really bad time diet-wise. I actually weighed 13st 7 last Wednesday after some severe lapses and thought I could get away with a few more. So I then went on and put on 5.5 pounds in 5 days. And after weighing this morning I have thrown in the towel. Only I know I can't. I've GOT to do this!

So my overall loss in 6 weeks has been 4.5 pounds - which I'm not that happy with.

Week 1: 14st 3
Week 2: 13st 12 (-5)
Week 3: 13st 9.5 (-2.5)
Week 4: 13st 9 (-.5)
Week 5: 13st 11 (+2)
Week 6: 13st 12.5 (+1.5)

Will have to start again tomorrow. Have been out and bought 4 packs of zero noodles and need to start drinking water again as I have been slacking on that front. Nearly didn't come back here but I need to be accountable!

BIWI · 24/06/2019 19:40

Well done for coming back to face the music @EatenalltheEasterEggs - it's not an easy thing to do. But think about it logically. If you throw the towel in now, all that you're doing is guaranteeing that the weight will go back on.

(Oh, and surely you need to change you ruse name now? Grin)

BIWI · 24/06/2019 19:40

Ruse?! Why on earth would that be autocorrected?!

User, clearly Grin

Hiya 《《《waves》》》

Back from holiday. Butlins with two 3 year olds is shattering. My pedometer doesn't know what hit it.

I've eaten and drink what I wanted but had a salad at the services today lol. I have cooked my sausages and bacon for breakfasts and just going to make feta salad for lunch tomorrow....

So looking forward to eating lchf again. Holiday was nice and I could have stayed on plan (butlins catering whoda thunk it!) But I ate what I felt like,! Back to it now and I'll weigh in the morning!!! Eeeek

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 24/06/2019 20:35

DH is listening to a foodie podcast and they keep talking about chips...Angry

ChippingInLowCarbing · 24/06/2019 21:04

The WayoftheWorld
You just needed an extra toilet visit then you’d be at your mini goal! 🎉🎈

Greebols you’re doing amazingly well you’ll definitely be The Skinny Maid! How are rehearsals coming along?

Summery thanks for that I’ll look up the things you suggested 😊 as I haven’t found anyone prepared to have my PTS YET! Congrats on getting into the healthy BMI range!

IStillMissBlockbuster. ‘No time for the scales’ that 25 seconds is just SO hard to find isn’t it! Scales are bastard things use Ftidsys weight!

Nigella. 26lb is bloody amazing! and ONLY 7 little ones to get under 200...Go YOU! I’m looking forward to your before & after photos

Toots that’s a great loss considering how long you’ve been doing it. Just in case you hadn’t noticed (ha bloody ha) *your over half way to your goal weight!!🎉🌷🎈🎁🎉🌷🎈

mrs BertBibby thank you 💕Yes ‘No Meds’ IS HUGE. I haven’t taken any since I was diagnosed 6 years ago (except for the ones the hospital force fed me last year when I was in to have my appendix out) and I’m determined not to take any. This involves LC, like it or not!

Good loss for you again this week😊

Hearty Hooker thank you too 💕 it IS FANTASTIC The meds’ make me feel dreadful and I hate what they do to ‘work’. I can up my chances if never having to take them by consistently low carbing I’m just not as well behaved as I need to be. I LOVE CARBS and find LC bery difficult and restrictive (as a non egg eating vegetarian)

Happy birthday to DS🎁🎂🎈🎉 what base recipe do you use for your pizza?

Sorry to hear about your client, tough job, but it’s goid people like you do it xx💕

shagMeRiggins 💦💦💧💦💦💧💦💦💧
My scales are pushing their luck too and may join yours under mrsTP’s patio!!but I think they’re all lying bastards and sometimes it’s just better the devil you know!

1stMrsF. I’m glad you were able to look at the overall picture & feel better xx

veryLittleOwl I used to love house sitting for my friend - she had goats, chickens,a cat . A dog and an axolotal all allowed in the house! Never a dull moment (lots of poopy ones though!). Do you not feel guilty eating chicken salad?!

28pagesgrontandback. Not getting on I’ll behaved scales is totally justified!
I think it must have been a bad year for celeriac yes, I agree OR far too many Low Carbers!! 😱 my local supermarket normally has loads, there’s only been a few tiny ones, but having found FROZEN celeriac I’ll only buy the fresh for celeriac chips from here on in. I don’t normally like frozen veg, but I’ll make the exception for those bad boys!

CELERIAC I think I figured out why it smelt so vile the first time I cooked it, but hasnt since. I THINK it’s because I added salt to the water?! I cooked it the other night and added salt and the cooking smell was STRONG and it tasted much more celery like too I won’t be adding salt again. I only did it because it’s potato like and I’m not adding salt to enough stuff.

PrettyBird. Celebrate the fact you’re at the weight you were st the end of last summers BC! You are maintaining 😊💕 it’s just a bit of a hilly ride! Good luck with KOKO to get to GW by Chrustmas.

mumble Lumble. Congrats on your success so far I’m sure that mimi goal is just around the corner!! 😊

EaterAllTheEasterEggs you’re right, you cannot throw in the towel 4.5 lbs isn’t to be sneezed st. Anyway. You lost more than that, just falling off the wagon gave you some back. If you climb back up on the wagon you might get another workshop next week

I don’t get woodhes myself I just get tiny bits dripping off it is demoralising but I have to keep my eye on the end goal and remember that whilst it’s only ever a small
perventage of what others lose it’s better than gaining! You lose much better than I do when you behave!

ChippingInLowCarbing · 24/06/2019 21:05

For anyone I missed please take hugs, congratulations & considerations as required 😊💕💧💧🎉🎉💧💧

prettybird · 24/06/2019 21:45

ChippingIn - I'm only just back at the weight I was at the start of last summer's BootCamp (which itself was over half a stone up on where I'd got to for Christmas 2017 Blush

Full disclosure Wink as I'd glossed over how much I'd fallen off the wagon Blush: I'd lost 3 stone between May 2017 and Christmas 2017 Smile - getting from just under 15 stone to just under 12 stone ShockGrin; put on over half a stone early 2018 but got back on the wagon in May; managed to lose a stone and a half (with a wee blip in early Autumn Blush) over the 2nd half of the year to get to just over 11 stone by Christmas 2018 Xmas Smile ; thought I'd kept it in control in the January Boot Camp, having only put on a few pounds - but lost them and put them on again; then the whole Brexit clusterfuck popcorn show had dh and me comfort eating March and April; ended up (which if you look back, I didn't admit to on the Boot Camp threads Blush) back at 13st 1lb ShockBlush

But the positive is that I am still down on where I started: now 2.5 stone from May 2017 and on track again Smile

12 stone 8lb (in fact, 7.75lb) and proud Grin and stop crying over the spilt milk comparing with this time last year- Wink

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 24/06/2019 21:53

Thanks Chipping! Have to admit, I came home from rehearsal last night in a foul mood (director was being a nob) and had to have two gin and slims and FOUR squares of dark chocolate to make myself feel better. But at least I didn't have the stack of buttery toast I really wanted.

On the whole though, it's going well. Opening night on Thursday!!

NigellaAwesome · 24/06/2019 22:36

Thanks Chipping for the encouragement, but it's 16 lbs I've lost, not 26. Maybe by the end of boot camp though Wink

Summery1 · 24/06/2019 23:13

B: 3 eggs scrambled, cheese, mushrooms. Creamy coffee.
L: chicken ceaser salad, extra coleslaw. No croutons.Creamy coffee.
D: raspberries & strawberries with greek yogurt mixed with cream and a spoon of almond butter. 1 square of 85% chocolate. 1 alcohol free beer. (Has more carbs than I realised. I looked at the tin after. Blush). But I was back from a 40k cycle...

18pagesfrontandback · 24/06/2019 23:29

Well I did it One night down, eleventy billion hundred to go. Wasn’t difficult today, possibly because I’m so shattered and look a haggard, puffy faced, eyebaggy wreck to boot . With special thanks to: excessive drinking back to back = shit quality of sleep = generally feeling shitter = wanting vino pick me up by the evening = getting into excessive drinking back to back = shit quality of sleep = generally feeling shitter... and on and on and ariston...
So won’t get cocky yet. The weekend will be the real test... Hmm

Food also good today. Didn’t eat until dinner this evening (fasting). No need for tea and choc tonight either. One good thing about this horrid muggy heat is the effect on appetite.
