Sorry, pretty link fail. And I'm not sure how to link to the spreadsheet - can someone do that, please?

Evening all.

wotabastard · 25/08/2017 18:57

I didn't participate in the summer boot camp but am hoping to hang out here til October if that's ok! Smile

B: 3 scrambled eggs w/ olive oil, butter, spring onion, mushroom, 2 chicken sausages, baby leaf salad, cheddar

Coffee with cream

L: 1 smoked mackerel fillet, 1/2 avocado, slice feta, 2 tbsp mayo, 4 cherry toms, baby leaf, avocado oil

S: slice cheese

D: Butter fried tofu, green salad, avocado, avocado oil, mayo, bit of brie

Coffee with cream

3+ litres water plus a couple chamomile teas.

I added an extra egg this morning as I was so hungry yesterday and it has worked a treat. Had a couple of shaky moments but quickly alleviated with a slice of cheese/avocado. I weighed in at 173lb first thing Wednesday morning, I was 170 this morning! Goal 145 lbs...or thereabouts

I'm paying close attention to ingredient labels and feeling confident I'm on the right track. First time I've had creamy coffee, wow it's delicious! I won't be making a habit of having too much. Grin

ilovecherries · 25/08/2017 19:02

Creamy coffee kept me on the straight and narrow the first few weeks, Wota. I work from home, so often end up in a coffee shop, and being able to have that made me feel I was still living a normal life. Only had one a day but it made all the difference.

14 weeks on Monday since b/c started. Wonder if I can lose a pound by then and make it a round two stone? Not only are my trousers constantly heading south, I'm also walking out of my shoes now. What's that about? I'm sure I never had fat feet!

Grah we used to go on the overnight ferry from Southampton with the DC's years ago but low cost airlines put a nail in the coffin of ferries long ago. The €300 is on top of flights and insurance. Thank you so much for doing some research on my behalf.

Sadly the antibiotics will do nothing for my breathing, that's purely down to the paralysed diaphragm and that's never going to change, my non ventilated breathing only gets air into the top two inches of my lungs so I don't manage to clear enough co2 and quickly become semi conscious.

Oldbooks WTAF that's one hell of a whoosh, stay on track it's what you deserve.

I've had a day at the Zoo with DC's and DGC, now relaxing in the bath. I've learnt that I can easily resist ice cream but can't say no to a coffee.

wombattoo · 25/08/2017 20:38

Bollocks. I have posted for lily and others on the old thread. I can't repeat it here Confused

In other news, my DH is celebrating a 'big' birthday this weekend. There will be loads of alcohol everyday. I don't intend posting here but I do have form for drunken rambling posts.

I apologise now for anything I post between now and Tues. Have a great weekend everyone. Thanks Grin

lilydaisyrose · 25/08/2017 20:47

Thanks wombattoo, read it!

I am at 30g carbs today and my macros are 2% carbs/87% fat/11% protein Blush. I think I might have some nuts before bed as I am keen to not go too low on the carbs and risk my milk starting to dry up - my DD2 isn't the biggest feeder anyway so I am always worrying about there not being enough for her.

B - bacon & mushrooms fried in butter with a creamy coffee with single cream (I heat up the cream, am assuming this is ok?)
S - 2 x creamy coffees
L - slices of mild cheddar cheese (150g?) spread with butter or cream cheese. A few plum tomatoes. 23 raspberries
S - chicken skewer things from Co-op
T - peppered mackerel fillets on rocket with lots of mayonnaise and drizzled with ev olive oil

lilydaisyrose · 25/08/2017 20:49

Have fun wombattoo! I am lying in a darkened room after my in laws have left - they visited for the day. 7 people in a tiny house and my MIL's high energy is lovely but very tiring!

twinklestar2 · 25/08/2017 21:15

Marking place!

wotabastard · 25/08/2017 21:21

I'm feeling well ropey tonight oh god. Shock I think I'm entering the carb flu zone! Loading up on the water and going to get to bed very soon. Cramps legs, achey everything, manky taste in my mouth. Least I don't have to get dd to school in the morning. Lazy morning in order I think. Smile

Meant to say, I'm breast feeding too. But dd2 is over 2 now and it's more of a comfort/habit before she weans now.

Hi all. Still koko. Not much happening on scales but have been indulging in dark choc sometimes.

NOMOREoatcakesandcheese · 25/08/2017 23:15

Hi thanks for the new thread ilovecherries
I've been feeling a bit headachey today -can you get a 2nd dose of carb flu? I had it in my 1st week for 2/3 days and I'm coming to the end of my 3rd week.

Grah0SoontobeaFatty · 26/08/2017 00:12

@NOMOREoatcakesandcheese yes check that you have had enough salt and water. I put a small amount of salt in my coffee when I get the headache or have a bone broth to perk up the electrolytes.

Thanks for the new thread ilovecherries

Oldbooks congratulations on the whoosh, they make you feel on top of the world don't they?

@MOIST it's very kind of you to pick up what oldbooks dropped but you should have left it alone.

Someone called @ggirl posted a link to something I found and I think many of us will find extremely useful in explaining the carbytwatness and physiological responses

Have fun everyone.

starsky22 · 26/08/2017 00:20

wotabastard · 26/08/2017 06:13

Woke feeling better and having some water. Just hopped on the scales and can't quite believe I'm now 167.2 Shock

Distractotron · 26/08/2017 06:26

Checking in, I'm find it hard to keep up with all the different things people have going on so will just say, hope you all have good weeks and cope well with any crappiness in your lives Flowers
We are in Dorset for our two days away. I ate so much crap yesterday that carb flu is guaranteed when I can get back to lchf. Unfortunately I was badly organised and didn't know what to expect shopwise. We booked glamping pods and I didn't realise there was a communal fridge on site or that I could have stored cold stuff outside our shed thing overnight as it was freezing!! So i had sandwiches and chips etc and have spent the whole night 1) worrying about money and 2) farting. Good job DD1 and 2 are sound sleepers!

orkneyfudge · 26/08/2017 08:21

Quietly lurking here & following LCHF.

Off for brunch out this morning - what are your thoughts on eggs benedict without the muffin - either with bacon or spinach? Obviously unsure of exactly what is in it and how its cooked but thought that might be a better choice than toasted brioche ha and I dont fancy a fry up!

ilovecherries · 26/08/2017 08:23

Apart from the weight loss, the lack of farting is one of the nicest aspects of LC. I used to be noxious.

OP posts:
ilovecherries · 26/08/2017 08:25

Orkey, I eat eggs benedict a lot, without the muffin and with both bacon and spinach - but I make the sauce myself do I know it has no flour in it.

wotabastard · 26/08/2017 08:53

In actual heaven here for breakfast. Buttery, salty, steamed broccoli and eggs.

I'm in raptures. Grin

And I've literally just noticed. I'm taking my time. Enough time to stop and post here (Blush) and I'm really enjoying it.

I'm usually inhaling it before I've even tasted it.

Honey, I'm home!

BIWI · 26/08/2017 08:58

Morning all!

Thanks for the new thread. And welcome @wotabastard - great result for you! If you feel ropey, it's because your electrolyte balance is out of whack - you need sodium, magnesium and potassium. So cook with salt, put salt on your food, and foods like salmon, avocado, spinach and natural full fat yoghurt will help with the rest. Supplements can also help if it's really bad.

Have had a horrible time with what has really only been a cold - after 2 weeks had to go to the GP. She gave me antibiotics, which I'd been trying to avoid, but they do seem to be helping. However, 2 weeks and 4 days later, I'm still coughing and blowing my nose!

Only a minor irritation compared with the ills of others, but I have felt awful.

Anyway, back to the gym this morning, so will see what punishment my PT will give me for missing last week!

wotabastard · 26/08/2017 08:59

My first full day was fairly farty but last night it was noticeably absent.
