YoLo you deserve a separate post because you need to know how much your honesty affected me, and probably others. I think it's also inspiring that you were affected by OldBooks. I think we have a very supportive group here and this has made a huge difference to my maintaining the commitment to LCHF.

Don't get me wrongI was going to do it anywaybut you lot help me do it better and faster and funnier.

All I can say about the wanting to jump out a window thing is that I see it as an "I don't want this to be happening, I want this to stop, make it go away" moment.

We all have them. We deal with them differently. Now, you're dealing better than you have in the past, I believe, which is the right direction.

It could be worse. You could be

wotabastard · 26/08/2017 18:16

Oh yolo massive sobby hugs. You're amazing and I think the half pack of raisins was an important pit stop in your journey. You recognised what is going on and hopefully that will help in the future.

Clear Yes! So glad they went down well though, will definitely pull them out again soon!

wotabastard · 26/08/2017 18:19

NOMORE they are, aren't they. Grin 2 yo polished off half a one then held out her hands demanding "more, more, more!" DD 10 was most impressed too. Good mid afternoon snack for 2 hungry urchins. Grin

C4pinkwheels · 26/08/2017 19:41

I come to he sisterhood and Grah to confess, my halo has fallen off, feathers have fallen from my freshly sprouted wings, cherubs wept............... I am guilty of being a carby twatSad

It was the grandchildren, they made me do it, they stood around my wheelchair with smiling faces as they handed me the white chocolate Magnum that they had bought from the shop as a thank you for a week of fun and frolics at Grandma's house. It was nice but has left a sickly sweet taste in my mouth that is still there hours later.

I will take my punishment, BIWI I accept a severe beating with the big stick

I hang my head in shame

Mandelinka · 26/08/2017 20:30

Evening all, sparkling new thread, yayGrin

I haven't posted much in the last 3/4 weeks, I've been sick for nearly a month now with really bad cold which settled in my sinuses and only now is getting better (tons of snott are finally exiting)
I lost my appetite a bit and have been doing quite few fast mornings, which resulted in 3 lbs loss since the end of our BC.

I feel like I need a proper reboot in my eating habits as I've been really sluggish and generally not feeling great. Also my cooking is slipping a bit, have been eating soups, salads and eggs mainly and need some inspiration Sad

Can't wait for the BC to start!

OldBooks · 26/08/2017 20:31

Awww YoLo, so glad you are LTB as he clearly makes you very unhappy. Recognising the problem is a huge step and you will start to recognise when you are having the slide into stress eating and learn to divert. And if not, if you forget to divert like I forgot the other night, well you put on a few lbs of water weight or have a big bruise on your arm shrug and move on. You coped in that moment the best you could, you survived it. Unmumsnetty hugs for you. Hell, for everyone!

I am suffering from bad chubby thigh rub after an afternoon of sightseeing in 33 degree heat. I hate being fat in hot weather. There are lots of tanned, svelte girls swanning around in shorts and crop top looking cool and serene. And there's me, pale except for my bright red face, waddling around in a sweaty mess. Gah. It has been easy to KOKO except for an ice cream sundae, but I made a strong decision to have it and enjoy it. We were sat outside at a gorgeous cafe in a busy square watching the world go by. It seemed like the thing to do. It was lovely.

Grimbles · 26/08/2017 20:40

Tsk tsk tsk. All us noobs trying so hard, you've let us down (just kidding!)

So day 6 done, as per my post earlier my appetite has dropped right down, maybe partly down to the water but I am getting full up and not needing snacks.

L. 3 eggs scrambled in butter with spinach and pancetta
D. Lettuce leaf wraps with a bit of chicken and primula and then a bit of cream and fromage frais mixed together with a few raspberries.

Grimbles · 26/08/2017 20:42

I forgot to add, I had some green olives too.

ASDismynormality · 26/08/2017 22:08

oldbooks. We will all go off plan at some point, it certainly sounds like it was worth it!

wotabastard · 26/08/2017 22:20

I'm feeling good. Like deep inside...woo Grin

Teeth brushed, face mask done, deep moisturisation complete.

Lost count of water intake but definitely over 3 litres.

I will dream of magnums and ice cream sundaes in the sun. Grin

Night y'all.

starsky22 · 26/08/2017 23:01

C4 That's just reminded me of the white magnum sitting in my freezer that I've been avoiding for the last 10 weeks! Please tell me it wasn't worth it!

At my brother's today, was expecting a bbq, so was ready for a meat fest, but it was pizza, pasta & garlic bread! Thankfully they also served salad and lots of other food so stayed low carb.

B chocolate milkshake Grin (almond milk, cocoa powder & sweetener)
L bacon, spinach & cheese omlette
D salad, chicken, sundried tomatoes, mozzarella, prawns and cocktail sausages

Still alcohol free!

starsky22 · 26/08/2017 23:03

Um, is it just me or is there a chocolate bar in my post, where did that come from?!

YoLoZammo · 26/08/2017 23:30

Thanks so much for the support and advice moist oldbooks wotabastard cleareyes and evryone else. It means a huge amount to me. Im aware my posts have been a bit sporadic lately and then it's all me me me Blush when I do post. Sorry about that. I've just been having a difficult time recently. On the lchf front though, apart from a few minor aberrations i haven't confessed all of them , I'm doing ok I think. I love reading about everyone's successes. It is very uplifting to share the joy!

I'm way behind organising the Meetup. I may start again from scratch with dates etc. It will happen!

Shiraznowplease · 27/08/2017 08:32

Sunny day 😎😎😎, enjoy everyone! C4 it would have taken a heart of stone to refuse when your Dgc were so pleased to give it to you, while it may not have helped your diet, you made them feel good 👍 Oldbooks, know what you mean about thighs off on holiday in eight weeks and that's the bit I am dreading, but think how much worse it would have been before.

Everyone is being so supportive so big thank you to you all 😘😘💐

BIWI · 27/08/2017 08:56

@Mandelinka - I think that's the same cold as I have had. Antibiotics have taken care of the infection, but I'm still producing prodigious amounts of snot! Where does it all come from?!

@YoLoZammo - please don't worry about being 'me me me' - that's exactly what these threads are for Flowers

DudeHatesHisCarryOut · 27/08/2017 09:05

Well something goodbye has come out of feeling rotten: I've barely eaten anything the last couple of days and, as a result, my weight's dropped to be within the 'nealthy' range!!! That's my first stone lost, eventually!! Ok, so some will go back on during the next wee while when I start eating again, but it's definitely given me a boost, that's for sure!

I have a day supervising guineas planned, as well as cleaning all the cages. The wee ones met Hazel for the first time, last night, and it went surprisingly well. She was confused by their running around, and wasn't too keen on their intruding on her personal space (tbf she was sat over most of the food I'd put out for them!!!) but other than the odd push all was well. In fact, once of the babies burrowed under Hazel when I went to put them away!

Any time YoLo Easter Smile

Well...165 on the scale this morning Shock

I appreciate I must be shedding a lot of water but I've not seen a drop like this since I was an ungrateful teenager Grin

It is so motivating! Eggs and rocket salad with half an avo and cheddar for breakfast. Sea salt and butter aplenty. I felt quite jittery when I woke up but quickly felt better as I ate.

Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday x

ASDismynormality · 27/08/2017 09:39

YoLoZammo. You are an inspiration, it's not easy to keep on going food wise when things are tough Flowers

My scales are continuing to move down, I am finally under 100kg and as of this morning have lost 90lbs!

ASDismynormality · 27/08/2017 09:39

dude. Those piggies are so cute!

BIWI · 27/08/2017 10:30

Wow! That's brilliant ASD Flowers

And well done too, wotabastard! Just don't expect this rate of loss to continue Smile

NOMOREoatcakesandcheese · 27/08/2017 11:16

Yolo thinking of you be strong - think of how better your life will be when you ditched the bastard.

No loss this week - it's the end of my 3rd week - I've been getting a bit obsessed with the scales and weighing daily - I think I need to calm down and just KOKO. Am I doing anything wrong?

I went to a BBQ last night and only drank water (I felt a bit of a saddo, but no one seemed to mind) I only ate sausages and a burger with no bread and some olives. Then I had a carton of total yogurt with some crime fresh in it when I got home as I was hungry.

BIWI · 27/08/2017 11:58

Crime fresh?! Grin

You're not doing anything wrong (although autocorrect might disagree Wink). You're in week 3. Weeks 3 and 4 are notorious for weight loss slowing/stopping altogether. KOKO and things will get going again soon.

ilovecherries · 27/08/2017 12:01

ASD, that's fantastic.

OP posts:
NOMOREoatcakesandcheese · 27/08/2017 12:16

BIWI 😂😂 perhaps this crime fresh has been a naughty boy!

I'll koko - and perhaps only weigh myself weekly

lilydaisyrose · 27/08/2017 13:42

Finally weighed myself on day 6. 17st 12lbs but think I was probably another 5 or 6lbs heavier when I started due to losing water weight since then, however I'll err on the cautious side and record my starting weight as 18st bang on.

Today so far:-
B - avocado with 2 eggs fried in butter. Creamy coffee
L - chicken mayo little gem lettuce wraps

Thanks StuntNun for the protein/breastfeeding info - I"ve checked back and each day I am having between 100-150g protein so all good there - thank you!
