Evening all!

I'm starting this thread now as I have to leave early for work tomorrow. and I know how keen you'll all be to weigh-in first thing, so won't want to wait until I can get round to getting it up and running Grin

Here's the link to the lovely shiny new Spreadsheet of Fabulousness ]] for which many thanks, SayrraT.

Your name should be on it, but if it isn't, just add it at the bottom. Don't try and re-alphabetise the list - Sayrra or Wombattoo will do that later.

And don't touch the blue cells!!!

Nasch how many calories do you think you should be eating? I would guess that you would need an absolute minimum of 1800 per day at this point. If you told me you ate 2,500 calories today I would say that's probably fine given the age of your baby. For all you know there is a growth spurt going on and you're having to supply extra calories.

The problem is that by cutting carbs your body thinks it is being starved, particularly if you were eating lots of cake etc. before with readily available energy. So long as you are keeping your carbs relatively low, say below 50g per day, then you should eat as much as your appetite demands. The most important thing is to switch your body over into fat-burning. Once that happens then your appetite will naturally drop and you will eat less.

Naschkatze · 26/05/2017 17:25

Blush That's me told... thanks Biwi Grin

HemanOrSheRa · 26/05/2017 17:29

I know you are BF Nasch so you are in a different situation but do others think they are consuming more calories with this WOE? I'm not sure I am when I think about the type and amount of food I ate only last week.

Naschkatze · 26/05/2017 17:30

Ah x post StuntNun. Yes, roughly based on what I ate to maintain weight pre-pregnancy I think I need around 2000. I just found it surprising that I'm hungrier at the moment and expected it to be the other way round. I will eat more butter! Grin

BIWI · 26/05/2017 17:36

It's my pleasure NaschkatzeGrin

I wield my big stick from all over the world!

I've bought the ice lollie moulds and some vanilla essence. I'm all set for my almond milk and cream experiment Smile

Bibs2014 · 26/05/2017 18:04

I'm sorry but I'm going to have to confess even though I'm deeply ashamed I've fallen so quickly.

I ate Pringles. They were at work and I was bored. I have been bored all day and I succumbed at 5pm.

Please beat me with the big stick Blush

Giraffeski · 26/05/2017 18:06

Breakfast- buttery omelette and avocado
Lunch- was rushing out as we were late for a house viewing- so three babbles in the car Blush
Lots of water, haven't eaten yet as kids have had fish and chips and Dh out. I'm actually not remotely hungry, would it be really bad if I didn't have anything?

Giraffeski · 26/05/2017 18:07

(babbles = babybels obvs)

CaptainBraandPants · 26/05/2017 18:15

Bibs read article. It was linked to in the last BC and I think it makes some really good points and gives good advice. The thing that really struck home with me was the fact that I am not "cheating on the diet" but cheating myself. In fact, I would suggest everyone reads it, although obviously you can ignore me. Grin
Don't worry about the pringles now, though, they are in the past. Just koko and don't let this derail you.

ShastaBeast · 26/05/2017 18:15

When breastfeeding second time I worked out the extra calories needed were at least 300 to 500 which is a nice sandwich, well low carb is actually a lot of food. It's like an extra meal a day.

First time breastfeed I mainlined chocolate and was huge.

Food - Creamy coffee and yoghurt
Salad prosciutto mozzarella avocado
Salmon with broccoli and other veg to come. 35g carbs.

C4 life sounds really tough. I have an injury to my lower spine so no where near as bad, life can be so hard juggling everything and pain too.

Bibs2014 · 26/05/2017 18:19

Thanks Captain. I actually did think that I'd just say sod it and eat some leftover rice with my meatballs tonight but then I said 'no' to myself.

We have limited food in the fridge because we are going away for 4 days to my MIL's which means not being in control of the diet 100% but I will try, I promise!

Going to take my gym gear with me and get a run or two in - may help!

styledilemma · 26/05/2017 18:25

Had sausages(and a green leaf salad) for dinner.

I can highly recommend Asda's Extra Special Classic Sausages (gluten free)
They're really tasty and not too spicy.

I have more energy this evening. Yesterday I was like a wrung out dishcloth all day. As week as a kitten.
Hopefully I'm over the worst.

styledilemma · 26/05/2017 18:27

Weak not week Blush

This low carbing has seriously affected my speling Wink

Cherrypi · 26/05/2017 18:32

Just tried the cream cheese pancakes and loved them. Reminded me of egg custard. I also made an iced coffee earlier with strong coffee, cold water, ice and cream. Lost 4 lbs since Monday and 5cm around my waist!

Yorkshirebornandbred · 26/05/2017 18:57

This sounds nice, cauliflower breadsticks.

boldlygoingsomewhere · 26/05/2017 18:59

The cream cheese pancakes sound delicious. Is there a recipe somewhere?

Good day today considering we were travelling.

B - ff yoghurt
L - salad, boiled eggs
D - coconut chicken pieces, mixed salad, mozzarella balls

AdalindSchade · 26/05/2017 19:14

Cream cheese and egg! One big spoonful of cheese per egg. Whizz in the blender and cook like a pancake

antimatter · 26/05/2017 19:20

I was still feeling very tired until around 3 pm. Had strong mint tea (2 teabags). Started feeling much brighter.
I resisted my hunger pangs at 4 pm.
I am following 16-8 routine and ear 2 proper meals a day. In the past having third meal made me feel more hungry. No idea why.
I stopped drinking coffee altogether few weeks ago. I sleep much better now.

Cherrypi · 26/05/2017 19:22

I just did mine with a fork. Oh was I meant to flip them?

AdalindSchade · 26/05/2017 19:25

They are nicer if you flip them

Bibs2014 · 26/05/2017 19:25

Came home and ate meatballs and spinach.

Back in the game!!

ChesterDrawers · 26/05/2017 21:45
