Evening all!

I'm starting this thread now as I have to leave early for work tomorrow. and I know how keen you'll all be to weigh-in first thing, so won't want to wait until I can get round to getting it up and running Grin

Here's the link to the lovely shiny new Spreadsheet of Fabulousness ]] for which many thanks, SayrraT.

Your name should be on it, but if it isn't, just add it at the bottom. Don't try and re-alphabetise the list - Sayrra or Wombattoo will do that later.

And don't touch the blue cells!!!

This is me - and probably lots of you too!!! My favourite service station meal is buttered ham [drools], lettuce and a (bucket of) creamy coffee. Get a few odd looks but who cares.

If anyone is near a Five Guys they can do all their burgers bunless, either wrapped in a lettuce leaf or in a takeaway box.

Billionnairewannabe · 25/05/2017 23:45

Day 4 and still hereGrin Definitely feel like I'm getting in the zone now.
B- FF yoghurt
L - Salmon & prawn salad with avocado
S - Beef salad

My only craving today was for fruit or fruity drink caused by the heat so I had a glass of peach sparkling water 0.2g carbs. Very refreshing! think I'll try the iced coffee tomorrow.

Giraffeski · 25/05/2017 23:57

B: bulletproof coffee and a 97% pork sausage left over from BBQ last night.
L: spinach soup (working from home and cleaner said 'urgh, what's THATShock)
Green salad (spinach, romaine lettuce, courgette ribbons, avocado, cucumber, celery) with a bit of goats cheese and a homemade vinegarette (basically just extra virgin olive oil, white wine vinegar, a touch of mustard and salt and pepper)
Dinner: spicy chicken tray bake with courgettes, sprouting broccoli, baby corn, and i put in sweet potatoes and potatoes for DH- but didn't have any even though v tempted!
Snack before evening meal as it was taking AGES and was feeling peckish- crispy cooked bacon (from M&S) and a couple of olives.
DH was eating popcorn :)
Drank about 5 litres water as I just had a big jug of water and kept filling up the glass, and a couple of teas with almond milk. To whoever asked me about the unsweetened almond milk in tea- I started having it in my tea when breastfeeding my milk allergic kids and the youngest is three in November- I now prefer it to normal milk. Mind you, I have never taken sugar in my tea so if you're used to a sweet tea maybe it wouldn't be as nice.
I had a sneaky weigh this morning and I've lost 1.8 lbs. SmileI won't be able to weigh in on Monday as we will be away but may try and remember to weigh Saturday morning before we leave and take that as the weight.

Giraffeski · 25/05/2017 23:58

Oops, that was an essay, sorry!
I think the best thing on this WOE for me so far is the lack of hunger- I am just not tempted to snack that much in general so i'm not reaching for the crisps and sweets like I was.

GetReady · 26/05/2017 02:22

Bibs2014 - Courgettes for the veggetti and just peppers, shallots, mushrooms, mince and tinned plum tomatoes - salt, pepper, paprika - small squirt of tom purée.

Fry mince, add veg and tom, cook on hob for a bit. Transfer to oven, add slices of cheese, let melt.

Make courgettes into magic 😉, fry in butter, salt n pepper. Assemble, cover in mayo, eat. 😀

GetReady · 26/05/2017 02:23

Sheepysheep - lol!

Naschkatze · 26/05/2017 04:28

It seems DS has decided to stop sleeping. He's has woken up 3 times so far tonight... I'm starving and would usually make myself a sweet tea and toast at this point on a night like this. I'm going to hunt down something low carb in a minute! Not sure yoghurt or cheese is really going to sort the craving though...

Cherrypi · 26/05/2017 06:14

I still want to a snack in the evenings but it's made me very aware that it's not because I'm hungry. My emotional eating is very clear now the sugar highs are taken out of it.

CaptainBraandPants · 26/05/2017 06:42

Mandelinka double cream is better than single as its less carby. I don't know why it floated, it just needed a good stir, probably.
Sheepy GrinI don't think there is anything you can't put butter on.

Still feeling crap, not helped by the fact work has been busy. I'm not sure doing a 15 hour day yesterday did me any favours. Ah well, hoping to finish by lunch time, then have the BH weekend off.

cabbage67 · 26/05/2017 06:53

Nash and Sayrra - thanks for that, I didn't think of duck or chicken skewers. Maybe ribs but probably will be in a sweet sauce. I might persuade them to have Indian instead!

StuntNun · 26/05/2017 07:19

Coffee mixes better with double cream if you put the cream in the cup first then pour the coffee on. If that isn't an option then stir the coffee before adding the cream and pour the cream in while the coffee is swirling round, then keep stirring until it's mixed. I splashed out on Jersey cream for my coffee and my mum brought me some Almond Amaretto flavoured coffee - so luxurious.

SayrraT · 26/05/2017 07:34

Heman they are not homemade but they are delicious. They are from Costco.

c4 that sounds really tough Flowers hope you manage a bit better today.

OldBooks · 26/05/2017 07:34

Did someone mention vivid dreams? Because the last few nights have been... Interesting!

SayrraT · 26/05/2017 07:35

stunt my mum once bought me amaretto flavour coffee. I had high hopes but it was disgusting! What make is yours?

Flisspaps · 26/05/2017 07:37

Can someone add me to the spreadsheet please? I can't get on from my phone so will do it at work later otherwise 👍🏻

Thank you!

SayrraT · 26/05/2017 07:37

OldBooks vivid dreams always happen on BC, I love them!

I can guarantee that someone will have a nightmare about eating cake or something!

NigellasGuest · 26/05/2017 07:43

Amaretto flavoured coffeee sounds great - never heard of it! Is it not carby though? How is it flavoured without carbs? Where do you buy it? Lots of questions!

Veryflummoxed · 26/05/2017 07:47

Cream coffee ( used double cream, which ended up floating to the surface and looked a bit unappetising. Tasted ok.

I always pour my cream over the back of the spoon to make sure this happens, then drink the coffee through the cream. 😋

Giving up bread was one of the hardest things for me, and the thing sure to slide me back down into a carb fest. Now however having been mostly LCHF for a year now I find that when I do "treat" myself to bread now it's usually surplus to requirements and a bit "pappy" in my mouth. However the two things that for me still do need bread are soft eggs and marmite which I love. The flaxseed bread really sorted that for me. I found the first loaf I (or rather DH) did a bit cakey but it made a delicious fried bread for eggs. The second loaf, following another bootcampers recommendations, was made with half the eggs and just right. It keeps well, wrapped in the fridge. I only have a loaf on the go intermittently though as I don't want to become dependent.

Can someone explain the exploded babybel thing please... do you microwave them with the wax coating removed?

Yes. Naked babybel on a plate. In microwave. Timings vary, about two minutes, but someone did two minutes up thread and it burned. I suggest a minute then ten seconds at a time. Be brave but don't let it burn. It will seperate and go all runny at first. Underdone it's chewy and greasy. Done right it's crisp when cool.

C4pink you're a bit of an inspiration. All of that would be my excuse to comfort eat Flowershope you feel better today.

My vivid dreams started last night. Daughter recently gone abroad for extended period. I took opportunity to wash and brush teddybear who's always slept with her. So last night dreamt I'd met her in a weird hotel in an exotic location taking ted. She complained because, due to my washing him, when she talked to him he didn't answer. Not had a food one yet though I'm sure I will

Veryflummoxed · 26/05/2017 07:48

Sorry that was a bit long.

MOIST · 26/05/2017 08:08

My dreams are normally a bit vivid. Moreso will be interesting.

I just had a sneaky weigh in. Blimey. That is all.

I do smell peculiar. How long does that last? although it might be a combination of hot weather, hormones and food.

MOIST · 26/05/2017 08:09

Flummoxed. You must be missing her. My DD travelled for a year then buggered off to university. I still miss her terribly.

OldBooks · 26/05/2017 08:23

Hah a fun dream would be great, I dreamt I caught DH in flagrante delicto with another woman who was, natch, skinny Sad it was very distressing!

I have a crustless quiche in the oven, yum. That should be breakfast and lunch sorted.

HemanOrSheRa · 26/05/2017 08:24

Morning!

C4pinkwheels it all sounds incredibly tough Flowers. You are an inspiration as very says. You possess a mental grit that I don't think I wil ever have. I really hope today is better for you.

Thanks Sayrra I have a Costco card! I may take a trip there. Someone up thread mentioned they do pork belly slices. Their beef mince is very good as well.

I'm not having dreams but I am conking right out and sleeping really heavily for a good few hours which is very unusual for me. I had 6 straight hours last night!

I still want to a snack in the evenings but it's made me very aware that it's not because I'm hungry. My emotional eating is very clear now the sugar highs are taken out of it. Very true for me too Cherrypi. Mid afternoon and late night is my time. A few times this week I've opened the fridge/cupboard and stood looking in for food and had to take a mental step back and say to myself 'You really aren't hungry, are you love?!'

Tea with almond milk is very nice indeed Brew.

HemanOrSheRa · 26/05/2017 08:28

Flavoured coffees beaniesflavourco.co.uk. Our local Sainsbury stock them. They are pretty good.
