Evening all!

I'm starting this thread now as I have to leave early for work tomorrow. and I know how keen you'll all be to weigh-in first thing, so won't want to wait until I can get round to getting it up and running Grin

Here's the link to the lovely shiny new Spreadsheet of Fabulousness ]] for which many thanks, SayrraT.

Your name should be on it, but if it isn't, just add it at the bottom. Don't try and re-alphabetise the list - Sayrra or Wombattoo will do that later.

And don't touch the blue cells!!!

Apologies for the essay. I forgot to mention the dreams, really weird but not in a nice way - I was being chased by a fat, sweaty, ugly man!!! Strangely I never actually walk in my dreams, I'm just aware of someone chasing me.

ilovecherries · 26/05/2017 09:07

C4, glad the toast helped you feel a bit better. Hope your day is better today.

ilovecherries · 26/05/2017 09:10

So I'm still feeling pretty rubbish. Partly because since Monday Ive been getting by on about 90 mins sleep a night. I hope that passes soon. But generally just feeling unwell, achy, headachy. I read somewhere this can last a month :(. I had been thinking a few days at most. I'm desperately waiting for my tigger moment.

AdalindSchade · 26/05/2017 09:21

I had a really nice dream that a guy I had been seeing was my boyfriend and we were going to the fair and holdin hands and when I woke up I was sad because he's not my boyfriend and he hasn't text me back Sad
But then I remembered I am going to lose a stone doing this which will make me more confident and I will date more men and hopefully have a real boyfriend who will hold my hand Grin

Can we have a new thread soon please? My phone hates really long ones

boldlygoingsomewhere · 26/05/2017 09:45

I've been having really vivid dreams too! Didn't realise that was a thing on bootcamp.
I'm away visiting family this weekend which is usually difficult as they are very carby with their meals. Trying to think of ways to adapt while still being polite!

JiminnyCricket · 26/05/2017 09:48

My plan went totally to pot last night Angry

I planned to have chicken stir fry but only had one chicken breast in the freezer. DP has been workng all day in a hot pub with cooked food so was hot, tired and strung out. I'd been in a hot box of an office all day and was really uncomfortable and stressy. DP suggested a takeaway and I agreed Blush

I had halloumi, doner meat, salad, garlic mayo and chilli sauce (the hot kind not the sweet kind) so it wasnt a total disaster. Ate about 100g of the doner and left the rest, ate all the halloumi though and a chunk of the salad.

Planned to take the dogs down to the river for a splash about to cool off, but the pavements were too hot to walk them there (low to the ground bassets overheat very quickly) so couldnt do that. Also planned to bake coconut bread but got eaten by the sofa and couldnt bring myself to get up and do it. ARGH. Angry

Tonight we're off to a family gathering straight from work but it's roast chicken and asparagus for dinner. Hoping there's no food at the gathering but knowing DP's family there will be Hmm

Veryflummoxed · 26/05/2017 09:52

C4 sounds like your DS is the person to listen to at times like that. Glad you're feeling better now.

nekobus · 26/05/2017 10:06

C4 that all sounds so rough for you but yet you are up and baking 3 cakes?!! I think you needed that toast - health and wellbeing comes first Flowers

I'm enjoying reading everyone's stories and food on here. Lots of great ideas. I want to do an M&S shop and get some almond milk too. I did make a lush chai latte yesterday - made chia tea with hot water then heated up soy milk and double cream in the microwave then added to the tea. Was fabulous.

Today:
B - 2 hb eggs and butter, creamy coffee, tea with soy milk
L - picnic lunch: ha eggs, olives, celery, cucumber, Boursin for dipping, a few chorizo slices
D - steak and LC veg.
S - ff total, dbl cream, vanilla

cabbage67 · 26/05/2017 10:06

Hi all

Sorry, but i feel I'm just asking questions all the time. I promise I do read all the threads, but can't find the answer to my questions.

My next question is; what is the best caeser salad dressing to buy?

Thanking all you kind, knowledgeable people in advance :)

JiminnyCricket · 26/05/2017 10:09

Cabbage there isnt really a best one, they are all pretty low carb. Next time you go to the super market just look at the carb counts per 100g and choose the lowest one :)

Mandelinka · 26/05/2017 10:14

Mandelinka · 26/05/2017 10:21

Sorry, me again, can somebody pls add me to the spreadsheet? All our devices at home are useless 😖

cabbage67 · 26/05/2017 10:22

Thanks Jiminy . doing online shop now so shall look

imustbepatient · 26/05/2017 10:26

C4pink, you and your lovely DH sound amazing. I can't tell you how much I admire your strength in dealing with everything you have going on. Flowers

imustbepatient · 26/05/2017 10:40

Cabbage this one is low carb and tastes good, I seem to remember from a previous BC. Tesco and Ocado stock it too and no doubt others.

cabbage67 · 26/05/2017 10:53

imust- Thats fab, thanks, just ordered it now.

TheWayOfTheWorld · 26/05/2017 10:55

C4pink I hope I don't sound patronising when I say this but the fact that you are managing to focus on any of this with everything else you are having to deal with is amazing. Flowers

B: Greek yogurt and creamy coffee
L: roast chicken salad with mayo and olive oil
D: either pan fried chicken and veg or a chicken curry from the takeaway which I will have with cauliflower rice. I will have a fairly "dry" chicken bhuna.

The difficulty for me today is that I am off to a garden party with clients and the booze and nibbles will be flowing. Must stay strong! I am feeling a lot happier with myself so just need to focus on that and not the transient pleasure of booze and food.

Veryflummoxed · 26/05/2017 11:27

C4 Sorry, just realised I'd put DS. I know it was your DH

Veryflummoxed · 26/05/2017 11:37

And this is my coffee with the cream on top. I get seriously annoyed when the cream mixes in Grin

Exploded babybels... wow and who knew. Aldi do an almond milk btw 0.6 carbs per 100g and 99p. May not be as nice as alpro, havent tried it yet. I have been considering giving up cows milk for a while anyway so am please to have found something which is ok in tea and coffee. Love the alond chai too. Thx for all the great ideas. Tuna salad lunch today and corgetti veg bolognaise for tea. I did wake up feeling like I had drunk expresso this morning,,, is this the jittery effect?

StuntNun · 26/05/2017 11:57

OldBooks going low carb can improve the duration and quality of REM sleep... hence vivid dreams.

Sayrra it's Beanies Amaretto Almond ground coffee. I have tried a few of their flavours but this one is the best one. Nigella it is flavoured with flavouring oils so it isn't significantly higher carb than regular ground coffee. I don't buy it at all. My mum orders massive quantities online then worries that she's bought too much and donates some to me! Grin

I have been drinking almond milk for ages because my last two DSs were both allergic to dairy so I had to give it up while breastfeeding them. In my opinion Almond Breeze Fresh Unsweetened is the nicest one, so it might be worth trying different brands to find your favourite.

For people that are carrying alternative milks or cream with them, this insulated flask from Lakeland is very good. It's pricey but it's the only small flask that I've found. It's only 200ml so you can fit it in a handbag.
