Bibs2014 · 26/05/2017 19:51

Thx for this! X

AdalindSchade · 26/05/2017 19:53

I'm on my way to the parents for the weekend. I've stayed low carb all day (apart from a very small bite of ds chocolate) but will have been travelling for 6 hours by the time we get there at 9 and I'm just going to eat what's put in front of me!
So a carby weekend coming up, I will do bootcamp for 2 weeks again starting Monday before going to light. Please reassure me I can't put fat on in 2 days?! I know my weight will go up but hopefully after a few days back on it it will go down again

Sounds like a plan for damage limitation Adalind

I'm sure drinking lots of water will help, too. All the best.

boldlygoingsomewhere · 26/05/2017 19:57

Thanks for the new thread. Just marking my place so I know where to find you all!

HemanOrSheRa · 26/05/2017 20:04

Shiny new thread Smile. I keep losing track of time. Just goes to show how much of my day was ruled by my stomach Confused.

antimatter thank you for posting the link to the HIIT session last night. I may give it a go if it's cooler in the morning. I was going to do a Joe Wickes one but the trainers in the link you posted have a slightly gentler presentation style Grin.

AvaCrowder2 · 26/05/2017 20:07

Thanks for the new thread Adalind

CaptainBraandPants · 26/05/2017 20:11

Thanks Ada and good luck with the weekend. Have you got LC snacks for the car so you aren't ravenous when you arrive? You will put on weight, but it will mostly be water weight, so will come off again quickly. Have a nice time.
Yorkshire they look nice, another to add to the recipe pile.
Bibs well done for getting back to it so quickly.

My food today has been:
B: creamy coffee x2
L: last of the frittata I made the other evening
D: fried haddock with hm tartare sauce, courgetti in phili and asparagus sautéed in butter.
S: iced coffee as previously described

I fancy a G&T tonight, but I won't as I want to do strict BC for two weeks even though I've been doing it beforehand as I am using this to get back into it and pull back on the carb creep.

Think we won't be alone in having a BBQ this weekend, great LC meal. Grin

glenthebattleostrich · 26/05/2017 20:14

Hello, thanks for the thread.

Had a lovely day out in the sun with DD who had an INSET day, we went for lunch at Café Rouge and I was very good.

Food today -

B chicken and avocado salad
L pork scratchings, cucumber and chorizo crisps (I was a bit disappointed in them tbh, mine were a bit soggy)
T lamb kebabs with cucumber, tomato and feta salad.

about 3 litres of water so far, there will be more drunk. No energy to run tonight, did 14500 steps today anyway, so will go tomorrow morning at 6:30 before the house wakes up. Then off to the seaside so another lovely active day :)

Adalind, can you not stop and grab some low carb goodies, even nuts or low carb light foods?

AdalindSchade · 26/05/2017 20:14

Thanks! I've eaten strawberries and cashews whilst the others have had crisps so I have done ok, but dinner is bound to be something carb oriented! My dad is a vegetarian carb fiend. I just need to come back on here on Monday and not let it slide any further.

Wow, can't remember the last time a bootcamp thread ran to 2 threads!

Just catching up with everyone's news.

Flowers to C4 and Madonna, you are both dealing with so much.

To those who are trying to combine calorie counting with LC, I'd really recommend not. With LC, a calorie is not a calorie and you can eat so many more while still losing weight. If you're trying to stick to a set amount of calories, especially as low as 1200, you're inevitably going to end up cutting something, most likely fat which is the most calorific but most important part of this WOE. I'd suggest giving it your all for a few weeks without counting and see how you find it.

Today has looked like:
B: bacon, eggs scrambled in butter and cream, mushrooms in butter
Late L: tog and cream
D spag Bol, courgetti, grated cheese

AdalindSchade · 26/05/2017 20:14

It would be too hard for me not to eat the meals dad cooks but I can have eggs instead of toast for breakfast etc

OP posts:
Craftypuss · 26/05/2017 20:15

Oh wow! I tried the iced coffee this afternoon, not expecting much joy as when I tried almond milk on hot coffee, I didn't like it. But this - loverley!! Particularly as today has been hot and sticky.
What's not to like with this WOE?! Grin

AdalindSchade · 26/05/2017 20:17

What about almond milk and raspberry blended with cream for ice lollies when we get to BC light?

OP posts:
CaptainBraandPants · 26/05/2017 20:19

Ada just do your best and don't beat yourself up about it. A weekend of carbiness is nothing in the grand scheme of things. Just be prepared for the cravings on Monday when you get back to this woe.
Crafty I know I was pleasantly surprised too as I don't like almond milk in hot coffee.

AdalindSchade · 26/05/2017 20:21

Thanks! I'll make the best choices I can and not use it as an excuse to be a total carby twat because I honestly don't want to.

I'm not hungry!

Don't know if I can be bothered with dinner. Was going to have asparagus and tofu and stuff but not fancying.

Bibs2014 · 26/05/2017 20:47

Ada - I am away at mother in laws this weekend, planning to eat a lot of salad!!

ilovecherries · 26/05/2017 20:52

I had a bit of a fright today :(. I've stuck to the diet really strictly, and have had loads of fat, water and green veggies every day. Absolutely nothing off plan, no snacks but eating substantial meals and drinking 3.5L. I've been feeling increasing unwell since Wed. By lunchtime today felt thoroughly miserable but put it down to heat and insomnia. Lay down on sofa about 3pm and fell asleep, woke up with my heart hammering and my pulse really elevated. Had water and a bullion drink, didn't improve so ate an avocado with salt. After about 45 mins I was feeling really scared so phoned DH and he came home from work. He said I was absolutely grey and he insisted I ate a banana and drank some orange juice, then I had a handful of nuts. I gradually started to feel better and over the next hour my pulse gradually returned to normal. Not sure what to do now. I've sipped more bullion throughout the evening and my heart rate is back down to normal, but also developed diarrhoea in the last couple of hours. Desperately want to keep going, but I do feel a bit frightened.

I really fancy cold white wine Sad. Too much of that has contributed to my fatness though. Vodka and soda is a suitable tipple for BC Lite isn't it? Urgh. I'm going to miss a cool drink in the sun tomorrow afternoon.

Food for today -

B - halloumi and parma ham bites (I was running late). Cup of tea with almond milk. Water.

L - chicken breast (leftovers), mixed leaves, cucumber, avocado, oily dressing. Iced coffee.

D - Shawarma Spiced chicken, mixed leaves, cucumber, avocado, courgette strips, Greek salad. I poured some of the flavoured olive oil, that I pan fried the chicken in, over the green salad. Greek salad on top. Good dollop of FF Greek yogurt with mint, chilli and the smallest drizzle of very, very hot sauce on the chicken. It was DELICIOUS and I am pleasantly full.

Water - over 3l. I've lost track.

HemanOrSheRa · 26/05/2017 21:00

Oh blimey ilove. That sounds really scary SadFlowers.

Bibs2014 · 26/05/2017 21:18

Ilove - I get like that if I don't eat regularly as I have really low blood sugar. Hope you're ok.

Heman - can you post link to chicken recipe? Sounds lovely!

Had a big coffee (no cream Sad) to stave off falling into even more carby twatdom. Not long till bedtime...
