Evening all!

I'm starting this thread now as I have to leave early for work tomorrow. and I know how keen you'll all be to weigh-in first thing, so won't want to wait until I can get round to getting it up and running Grin

Here's the link to the lovely shiny new Spreadsheet of Fabulousness ]] for which many thanks, SayrraT.

Your name should be on it, but if it isn't, just add it at the bottom. Don't try and re-alphabetise the list - Sayrra or Wombattoo will do that later.

And don't touch the blue cells!!!

Mmmmmmorning Grin

I was on the last bootcamp start to finish and lost a whopping 24lbs.

For those who don't know me already, i have a grand total of approx 8 stone to lose in 12 months ready for my wedding on 14th April 2018.

Started on Jan 1st at 19st 1
Started the last bootcamp on Feb 6th at 18st 5lbs
Finished the last bootcamp at 16st 11lbs (progress photo attached)

All I want to say to the newbies is if a carb addicted heffer like me can do this, you guys certainly can. I promise it gets easier the longer you stick to it.

Last bootcamp I took a photo at the beginning and one at the end. This bootcamp I pulled my beloved denim shorts out of the wardrobe and I'll be trying them on now and at the end of bootcamp. I used to live in these shorts last time I lost weight (2012) when I dropped 2st with weight watchers. I was still in the obese category (never been lower than obese in my life) but I felt pretty good about myself then and if I could fit back into these it would be a huge milestone.

Let's get cracking!

Giraffeski · 22/05/2017 06:53

Hurrah! Thanks, looks great!
I'm planning to have omelette with spinach and goats cheese for breakfast, then going to do a spag bol sauce for later as I have a stupidly busy day. I've got courgettes in so everyone else can have pasta and I'll have some courgette ribbons. Does anybody have a spiraliser? Thinking of getting one. Not sure what to have for lunch, am open to suggestions so will keep an eye on here.

ChesterDrawers · 22/05/2017 06:56

I've been LCing for the last few weeks but with far too much wine, gin and dark chocolate, so am only 2lbs lower than my weight at the the start of the month. That said I have just been away for the weekend for my anniversary and while food was generally good, apart from one meal in a lovely French bistro croque en bouche anyone? there was far too much booze.

Good luck to everyone. I've started loads of BCs but have only ever finished one and an now almost 2st heavier than my lowest BC weight Blush Onwards and downwards!

Today:
B: escrambled eggs with butter
L: somethig. From M&s
D: pulled pork, coleslaw with HM Mayo, salad

TheWayOfTheWorld · 22/05/2017 06:57

Morning everyone! First boot camp for me too. Just about to weigh in etc. Hoping to knock off around a stone.

On a course today so going to have a quick continental style breakfast of cold meat and cheese with some olives whilst I dash around the house getting ready.

Good luck!

Veryflummoxed · 22/05/2017 06:58

Good morning all. Thank you BIWI and SayrraT and Wombattoo as well. So excited to be starting again and I only realised it was happening yesterday.

End of last year in the sales I bought two shirts that I was going to shrink in to by this summer. Guess what? I haven't. So this morning I made the decision that instead of weighing on my ancient wonky scales I'd do a photo of me in too tight shirt and repeat every Monday. Thanks for the inspiration of your before and after photos JiminnyCricket. (Can I stay on the spreadsheet anyway please, as I might start weighing as well a little further down the line?)

Good luck everyone.

Week 1 - Pre-Summer Low Carb Bootcamp - Off we go!
Cherrypi · 22/05/2017 07:00

Morning everyone. I'm determined to stick with this. I know it works. Today's meals will be.
B: Greek yoghurt and a coffee
L: Eggs, bacon and cucumber
D: Bolognese and courgette
Going to bring an emergency baby bel to swimming. Water is going to be the challenge for me as I normally drink one glass a day.

Veryflummoxed · 22/05/2017 07:00

Crosspost Jim just got back on the tread after posting to see you'd done the same with your shorts.Smile

hippadoppaloppagorillapig · 22/05/2017 07:05

Hi everyone, after my off plan Saturday, I'm happy to report that the extra was water weight - back down to 137.4lbs. I would ideally like to lose a stone, but think it will be more like 8-10 lbs. Excited to get cracking.

Plan for today:
B - microwave eggs with butter
L - chicken thigh & rocket salad with mayo
D - avocado and something, will be at work

explodingkittens · 22/05/2017 07:18

Hi everyone! Very excited to be joining a Bootcamp, although I have been a long-term low-carber (well, on and off!) for about 5 years now. It really is the most satisfying and delicious way to eat, although I can't deny I've fallen off the wagon for prolonged periods over that time. However I know that I look and feel better whenever I focus on eating LCHF so am looking forward to it.

I am lucky in that I don't have a lot to lose now - weighed in at 10st 12 this morning but would love to get down to 10st for my summer holiday at the end of July. So here goes!

Also need to admit that I will not be eating breakfast which I know is against BC rules but I tend to fast 18:6 which works really really well for me and I don't want to stop that routine. Having said that, dp is currently in hospital so I may be doing some bedside snacking later - all low-carb though I promise!

Good luck everyone!

Asmoto · 22/05/2017 07:20

"Weighed in, weighed in" as they say at the races Grin.

explodingkittens · 22/05/2017 07:20

Sorry, meant 16:8 not 18:6, that would be a bit hardcore Wink

NigellasGuest · 22/05/2017 07:24

Morning everybody! I am joining in anticipation of a week away where a bathing suit will be involved, in early June. So quite soon! But I haven't got much to lose - just want to reduce the stomach area a bit as I am an apple shape. I know we can't do spot reduction but experience tells me the first area to look better after a spell of boot camp is the tummy! In my case, that is. Plus, experience also tells me that boot camp is great for the skin!

I started yesterday - don't think i will add myself to the spreadsheet but hoping to receive and give some moral support. I've done boot camp quite a few times on the past with great success and it really is the only way to do it. Good luck everybody! Flowers

StuntNun · 22/05/2017 07:25

Weight logged and I'm hopeful I can dodge DH's car by temptation.

NigellasGuest · 22/05/2017 07:26

PS. don't forget your water everyone!!

NigellasGuest · 22/05/2017 07:27

Hello Stuntnun - there's a name I remember!

SayrraT · 22/05/2017 07:27

Morning everyone Grin

Weighed in this morning and I'm a few lbs over my last BC weight but I have not been eating perfectly. Two reasons one I caught something in Cuba and didn't feel great so ate whatever appealed and two I like to treat the in-between BC time as practise for after BC.

I am now exactly on track for my aim of 52 lbs in 52 weeks but I also measured and I've lost a couple of inches from various places since Feb.

Hoping for 10 lbs this BC which would take me to 31 lbs lost since January.

Good luck everyone Smile

StuntNun · 22/05/2017 07:29

Waves to Nigella.

Craftypuss · 22/05/2017 07:41

Another one checking in! I'm determined to get past the 14 stone barrier that seems to have been bullying me for far too long. I WILL get out of the 'obese' category - can't begin to imagine what it will be like to be merely 'overweight'!!
Enjoy the 'corporation pop', folks!Wine (Does anyone else call water that, or was it just my gran??!)

MOIST · 22/05/2017 07:42

Morning all.
My first boot camp Grin
Plan for the day
Swimming. Walk.
B. Yogurt and an egg
L. Leftover tofu stir fry
D. Avocado, Brie salad.

Working night this week so will need to create something to eat later.

BetterTogether · 22/05/2017 07:42

Morning Smile

I'm another who has started bootcamp before, but dropped out Blush I'm fine when I'm at home as I love meal planning and cooking (although I do struggle to find the energy to cook after work as I'm always so tired, so go for the easy option instead of the meal I'd planned); but when I'm out I have difficulty knowing what to have, as well as resisting the alcohol when everyone else is drinking!

Determined this time though! I'm actually a stone lighter than I was this time last year from a mixture of MFP, half hearted low carbing, and just eating less; so I have less than a stoke left to lose, but I'm keen to experience the other benefits - namely not being bone achingly exhausted all the time (although as a single mother of two, maybe that's partly unavoidable!!) I take iron and vitamin D supplements already but they really haven't made as much difference as I'd hoped, so maybe changing my diet will help.

Anyway, enough rambling! Today's food will be:
B - full fat Greek yoghurt with a splash of double cream and cinnamon
L - two chicken thigh fillets with bacon, mushrooms & cream - this is an old portion from the freezer, from now on I will buy chicken thighs with skin on!
D - roast pork + crackling, courgettes, broccoli & mayonnaise

I've also bought some little tins of tuna to keep in my desk drawer at work just incase I need some extra help resisting the work biscuits, but hopefully won't need them - will focus on extra water first.

Good luck everyone!! Here's to a great first day Smile

Naschkatze · 22/05/2017 07:47

Morning everyone.
Hope it's okay to be here, I've decided to do BC light on the advice of StuntNun and Biwi as I'm breastfeeding my 12 week old DS.

Hoping that being virtually accountable to all of you will keep me away from the cake and biscuits that I've eaten far too much of since he was born.

Weighed in at 141lbs, would like to lose a stone to get me back to my pre-pregnancy weight before he turns 1!
Now to work out how to add to the spreadsheet...

Best of luck everyone!

gingertom · 22/05/2017 07:50

I would like to join, please.
Will try to work out how to add my name to spreadsheet later.
Weighing in today at 76kg. Would like to lose 10kg initially. Nervous but hopeful!

cathyandclare · 22/05/2017 07:53

Signing in. Have been low-carbing for nearly five years now and it works well for me-but carb creep and especially too much milk in coffee, too many nuts, too much wine and too much grazing on cheese and salami have meant that 12lb have snuck on. AT LEAST 9 of those have to be gone by July 1st to fit into a dress. Will be absolutely hard core Bootcamper this time!

B: Coffee with cream (can hack BPC)
Oopsie bread with butter and marmite
L: Chicken salad with mayo
S: Omelette with green salad

Good luck all!

Nyancat · 22/05/2017 07:55

Morning. Just weighed in and way above where I was a few days ago. Friends over at the weekend and took a mad motion for two much wine and crisps, which I polished off yesterday in my hungover state, along with a load of chocolate.
Onwards and upwards! Or hopefully downwards!

BIWI · 22/05/2017 07:57

@Sprink there isn't a FAQ thread, although that's a good idea. I'll try and set one up asap. In the meantime just ask any questions on this thread and I'm sure there will be plenty of us who can help Smile
