Evening all!

I'm starting this thread now as I have to leave early for work tomorrow. and I know how keen you'll all be to weigh-in first thing, so won't want to wait until I can get round to getting it up and running Grin

Here's the link to the lovely shiny new Spreadsheet of Fabulousness ]] for which many thanks, SayrraT.

Your name should be on it, but if it isn't, just add it at the bottom. Don't try and re-alphabetise the list - Sayrra or Wombattoo will do that later.

And don't touch the blue cells!!!

Exploding - that menu sounds lovely!!

Getready - can I have recipe please?

Naschkatze · 25/05/2017 22:13

Cabbage I hope someone who has been doing this longer will have some suggestions but I would probably order salt and pepper chicken/prawns (check no batter?) or shredded chicken to start. Or maybe one of the clear soups. I'd go for a fairly plain main dish, something with ginger and spring onion perhaps and definitely order a large side of vegetables. I've not tried them but our Chinese does omelettes? Probably a bit disappointing when everyone else is tucking into black bean and sweet and sour...
Good luck - let us know what you get!

SayrraT · 25/05/2017 22:17

cabbage I think Chinese food is tricky! Someone else might knew better but I'd suggest avoiding sticky things or saucy things. I like the suggestion of chicken wings above, they sound OK as a starter. Not sure about main, I'll find a menu online and see what I think.

With any luck someone more useful week be along in the meantime Grin

I've just tracked today in MFP out of curiosity and I've only had 13g of carbs. Is that too low? Confused

CaptainBraandPants · 25/05/2017 22:28

I'm still at work, so my planned fried haddock and veg will have to wait until tomorrow.
TBH, I'm not really hungry, I think I'm passed it. When I get home, I'll just want to ho to bed.
Only had one meal today, but will make up for it tomorrow.
Everyone's meals look lovely and it's great to see lots of enthusiasm.
Re. the coconut bread - it's too eggy for me. If you are missing bread, the best I've found is a flax meal bread from the London mummy blog. Not suitable for BC, but ok for BC lite. It's also very useful if you're a bit bunged up. Grin

HemanOrSheRa · 25/05/2017 22:29

cabbage. How about crisp duck minus the pancakes? Some Chinese restaurants do lettuce wraps. Egg foo young should be OK. You could have something in a light sauce but just eat the meat/prawns and veg I suppose. You'd have to be careful of stir fried veg if they are in a sauce as it may be thickened with cornflour. Chicken satay skewers could be OK if they do them although I know they are Thai Smile.

styledilemma · 25/05/2017 22:31

Please, please tell me Alpro Unsweetened Roasted Almond milk is OK?

Isn't that funny? I've mainly logged on so that I can ask the exact same queston.
I've been using sugar free roasted almond milk in my tea today, instead of semi skimmed.
I've cut right down on tea but still have to have my morning cuppa and two more through the day.

Yorkshirebornandbred · 25/05/2017 22:41

Such a fast thread! Trying to keep up. Everyone's meals sound lovely Smile

Today I've done much better.
Breakfast: 3 rashers bacon and a fried egg with the bacon fat poured over it .. sadly burnt my lip on the fat .. too greedy! Blush
Lunch: a cold sausage, half a tin of tuna with mayonnaise
Dinner: 1.5 pork shoulder steaks - they were from Aldi and in some sauce/rub which was probably a bit carby but I wiped some off - with leeks braised in butter and spinach wilted in butter .. with extra butter on top!
Snack: hm egg mayonnaise made with one egg
2 black decaf coffees
So far only 1 litre water ... still struggling Sad

I've no money until Monday so will have to make do with what's in the fridge but should be ok except may run out of eggs.

HemanOrSheRa · 25/05/2017 22:43

*CRISPY duck. Honestly my phone is a twat. It changed 'blinking' to 'blinkingingredients' the other day. What the hell is that?!

Did you make those burgers Sayrra? They look lovely. I was thinking of doing a 'Burger in a bowl' which is like a Big Mac fake away without the bun obviously Smile.

I am really surprised how much I like the roasted almond milk style. I don't really like cold milk but the nut milk seems less gakky to me yet it is creamy too. Hmmmm. Is it nice in tea? I haven't had a cuppa since Sunday morning Shock.

Yorkshirebornandbred · 25/05/2017 22:46

Heman that's great, I'll get some almond milk on Monday. Any reason at all why we can't have it, anyone?

Mandelinka · 25/05/2017 22:51

Good evening all
Day 3 went ok, feeling better than yesterday, however stuck with consistent headache which could be my usual monthly migraine, sinus headache or keto flu? Who knows...😞

B: half an avo, Brussels pate, piece of green pepper, 5cm carrot stick ( son's leftover), 5 radishes
L: chorizo fried in coconut butter with mushrooms and courgette. Yum
S: small portion of ff Greek yoghurt + double cream - this was niiice. Cream coffee ( used double cream, which ended up floating to the surface and looked a bit unappetising. Tasted ok. Will try with single cream nextime.
D: chicken doner kebab. Side of mixed salad - cabbage, onion, tomato
W: 5 cups herbal tea ( green or mint)
1.5 l water

10.107 steps

Going to stock up the fridge tomorrow, keen to try cream cheese pancake w cinnamon.
Also leek and cauliflower creamy soup.

styledilemma · 25/05/2017 22:53

Herman I hated it in tea to start with, but I've persevered and now it tastes normal.
It took me a couple of weeks to get used to tea without sugar, but now if I accidentally taste tea with sugar it makes me gag.
It's surprising what you can get used to if you stick at it.

That's another recipe I can add to my ever growing list! Thanks.
Anybody else been trawling through recipes, in anticipation of when we get to Bootcamp Light and can eat things like bread and nuts?
I've acquired all these recipes that I can't use yet. Sad

Patapouf · 25/05/2017 22:54

I very much fancy a cheeseburger with lettuce bun now Grin

I really rate cream cheese pancakes with clotted cream and raspberries (on bc lite).

B: Cumberland sausages
L: leftover veg in cheese sauce
D: sort of naked burrito, with lettuce, pulled pork, guacamole, cheese and a bit of sour cream plus a tablespoon of chopped tomato/onion.
3L of water drunk.

thenightsky · 25/05/2017 23:00

I'm wondering if that Alpro unsweetened almond milk would freeze into ice pops.

Can someone explain the exploded babybel thing please... do you microwave them with the wax coating removed?

styledilemma · 25/05/2017 23:02

Unsweetened almond milk is 2.0 per cup.

Yorkshirebornandbred · 25/05/2017 23:03

Just found this whilst looking at the eating out guide linked to above . Might be worth checking out when we're on bc lite?

HemanOrSheRa · 25/05/2017 23:08

This is the label for the milk I bought. It says zero carbs.

Patapouf Are you trying to torture us poor souls who are still on the the strict part of Bootcamp Wink

styledilemma · 25/05/2017 23:11

Herman, that's good.
I've been splashing it in my tea today.
thenightsky
I wonder if you could make the ice lollies out of mainly unsweetened almond milk and mix some double cream into it as well - to give it a bit of oomph. Hmm

styledilemma · 25/05/2017 23:13

I seem to have food on the brain tonight. I need to go to bed.
See you all tomorrow! Smile

HemanOrSheRa · 25/05/2017 23:15

Ooh. It might be like a mini milk night. Mind you, I was so desperately earlier when I make my iced coffee that I over whizzed the nutribullet and it turned into coffee slush briefly Grin. I just needed something cold that wasn't water! I might make one in the morning. I haven't got any yet but it would be nice with a touch of that vanilla powder too I reckon.

styledilemma · 25/05/2017 23:16

Create a new recipe!

achangeisgonnacome · 25/05/2017 23:17

Another late posting from me. Been ok today but still not getting the water intake.

B: gammon slices and boiled egg
L: M&S coconut lime chilli chicken fillet with salad and dollop of creme fraiche
D: chicken Caesar salad
S: a couple of M&S crackling crisps and a chunk of cheese,

Had a yoghurt earlier (eaten in a blur and without thinking...)
