Welcome all!

I see that there are almost 130 of us signed up for this one, which is brilliant.

I'm starting the week 1 thread a little early, as I'm away this evening and won't be back home until mid-morning tomorrow, and I know you all want to get cracking Grin

So, without further ado, here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

If your name isn't on it, just add yourself at the bottom. Don't worry about the alphabetisation - wombattoo will sort that out later. Add your weight, but don't touch the blue cells!

It's up to you when you weigh; I'll start a new chat thread each Monday, with a link to the spreadsheet, but if you feel happier weighing on a Friday (or any other day) then it's totally up to you.

I think I've added my weight in the spreadsheet correctly? I use an app on phone but am curious how on earth it changes it for you all? Am I just not cheering technology nowadays Blush

I completely forgot to start yesterday. I previously did no sugar September and partly carried it on through October. Yesterday was almost ok except for eating he rest of Ds2's rocky road that he picked from the NT cafe at the end of our walk and at that price I was not leaving.. (it had glacé cherries in.. they tried to poison him!)

For my lunch yesterday I had a half pepperoni, cucumber cheese and mayo. For tea I had pork belly slices with salad and mayo.

Once ds2 is awake I will go to also and get some shopping. I am going to cinema later with a friend. This will be my issue.. cinema with no maltesers Shock I have some pork scrathcings I could maybe take instead??

Hello everyone.

I am not on the spreadsheet as I don't have a weighing machin but am totally up for bootcamp. My measurements in lieu of weight (for mayself to keep track) are waist 74.5cm hips 95.5cm.

Has everyone seen this wonderful thing that Sayrra from the last bootcmp did? It makes the recipe thread much more accessible and really helps me think of new things to cook. Thanks Sayrra

Morning all Brew
i started today with a Bullet Proof Coffee - because i really want to make sure i keep up my fat levels - and cream cheese wrapped in ham. Yummy!

Thanks BIWI for keeping us on the straight and narrow Grin

nekobus · 25/10/2016 09:10

Good morning!

Forgot to weigh in yesterday so did it this morning, a bit of a shock as I'm a few more pounds up than I had thought but the only way is down, right?! Grin

Yesterdays food:
B - brie, a few chorizo slices, 2 cherry toms, coffee & cream
L - cucumber spread with LC pate, olives, mozarella and sun dried toms (only a tiny bit) and some calamari
D - Sausages, celeriac dauphinoise, salad leaves, dressing
S - babybel, hb egg, ham with boursin, tea & soya milk, coffee & cream
water: 2L of my 3

KeiD · 25/10/2016 09:19

Morning, am resisting hopping onto the scales to see if magically after one day I've already lost something. Yesterday's food:
B) omelette with cheese & peppers
L) broccoli and Stilton soup
D) salmon w/ homemade pesto, loads broccoli and courgetti

StuntNun · 25/10/2016 09:21

Barges on to thread a day late. Sorry to be late to the (low carb) party - first day of half-term was a hectic trip to Legoland.

B: Two boiled eggs mashed with butter
L: Chicken and bacon salad with coleslaw at Legoland. The chicken was breaded so not ideal. It also came with barbecue sauce but no dressing which surely must have been some kind of horrible mistake. Who puts barbecue sauce on salad?
Snack: Peperami and two squares of dark chocolate.
D: Fried salmon fillet and courgettes fried in butter.

Ndotto · 25/10/2016 09:40

Morning all

Not a bad start yesterday.

B - eggs and mushrooms cooked in butter
L - crayfish salad with avocado, lettuce, spring onions, FF mayo
D - home made red pepper and tomato soup
S - 2 boiled eggs
W - 2.5 litres

Today had coffee and yoghurt so far. Planning chicken and bacon salad and veg soup for lunch and dinner will probably be snacky stuff like a chicken leg, olives and babybel cheese as working late and no time to cook.

Got 2 nights out this week and may be unable to avoid alcohol Halloween Blush. But nothing social next week so will be extremely strict on all other days. Got a conference for 2 days next week though and nervous about the catering. This would be so much easier if I never left the house Halloween Angry

girlrunningoncheese · 25/10/2016 10:01

pop 12 litres is impressive!! Yesterday, I found replacing my diet coke breaks with peppermint tea helped - I guess sometimes it's just habit to reach for a can at a certain time so I tried to make a better habit! Not saying I'll never drink the stuff again but cutting down has got to be a good thing...good luck :)

TheForeignOffice · 25/10/2016 10:06

Hi all. Won't be inputting to spreadsheet for a few weeks as in middle of a move an scales will be in transit for a while.

I am however fully compliant and committed, not least because my air shipment comprises almost entirely of clothes one size too small for me Grin

AnnettePrice · 25/10/2016 11:03

Hi, just joined. I started the MAF 2 week test on Sunday.
I realised though my running was going well, dragging around the extra weight was not really helping. MAF and LCHF are so close I thought it would give me a little more motivation to join the bootcamp.

philmaffetone.com/

1st weigh in was actually lower than I expected. It might be that I have been considering this lifestyle change for a little while and so I have started to eat better already.

Breakfasts are going to be the hardest as I don't like the flavour or the texture of eggs.

PopGoesTheFuckingWeasel · 25/10/2016 11:13

Girlrunning snap! I'm drinking green tea with peppermint as I type. The cutting out sugar part of it is one I think I'll find easy- but I'd kill for a bread roll right now! 😁

PopGoesTheFuckingWeasel · 25/10/2016 11:16

Is anyone thinking of (after the two weeks when we can skip breakfast if we like) combining this with IF? It can't do any harm, can it?

danTDM · 25/10/2016 11:20

what's IF? Smile

PopGoesTheFuckingWeasel · 25/10/2016 11:24

Intermittent Fasting.

boldlygoingsomewhere · 25/10/2016 11:24

Pop, I've been low carbing since last bootcamp and combined it with IF as it's a good way to lower insulin levels and readjust your 'set point' weight. I mostly do 16:8 a few days a week skipping either breakfast or dinner depending on when I'm hungry. For example, if I wake up hungry, I'll have breakfast and a good sized lunch and then I find I'm not hungry at dinner time anyway.

danTDM · 25/10/2016 11:26

Oh, yes, I am going to do this combined with low carb lite.

PaulineFowlersGrowler · 25/10/2016 11:27

I'm really impressed by the lack of snacks in people's food diarys. Yesterday I had
b/fast carb killa bar
snack 2 babybel
lunch green salad with chopped egg and ham w/ Mayo. FF greek yog w/double cream
snack 2 chicken satay, pork scratching Blush
dinner Eggs scrambled in butter with sautéed green pepper and Mexican cheddar.
And numerous creamy coffees.

If I'm going to lose any weight im going to have to ditch the snacks (and wean off the coffee)

PopGoesTheFuckingWeasel · 25/10/2016 11:36

I know, and it really appeals to me. As an emotional eater and (TMI, sorry) someone who goes through b/p bouts, I like the idea of their being a "stop time" for food. BIWI is IF definitely banned during the first two weeks?

Piscivorus · 25/10/2016 11:51

Well I have slipped up before I've got going and am confessing as a salutary reminder to you all to read nutritional information on packs and not assume it. I made my scrambled eggs and thought I'd have a sausage, leftover from the weekend, but assuming the carbs would be as low as those I bought yesterday. Needless to say, they aren't! Oh well lesson learned

PopGoesTheFuckingWeasel · 25/10/2016 11:53

Piscivorys easy mistake to make. The habit of reading labels will take a while to get in to.

Veryflummoxed · 25/10/2016 12:50

popgoes I sometimes have early dinner, 5pm and late breakfast 10am this is three meals but a 16/8 fast. Is this ok for Bootcamp BIWI?

PopGoesTheFuckingWeasel · 25/10/2016 12:58

Very see that's doable.

Emergefromthedark · 25/10/2016 13:09

Day two and the carb craving haven't kicked in too badly yet - I usually find day 4 to 7 the worst. Today's food so far

B -2 eggs and butter
L - green salad with Aldi chicken tikka breast slices and FF Mayo
D - will be a beef stew type things I put in the slow cooker last night

Lots and lots of water :)

lisbapalea · 25/10/2016 18:11

Hi all!

Day 2 going well - I am off work this week which is def helping with breakfast as I have more time to indulge in egg based stuff!

B - 2 eggs scrambled with cream, fried mushrooms and a slice of ham
L - lettuce, celery and cucumber dressed with mayo, oil and vinegar, with some cubes of Brie and Stilton and a small slice of Parma ham. And dd2's leftover boiled egg remnants.
D - sausages, swede chips, mushroom & leek "gravy", broccoli

Lots of water, 2 coffees with cream.

Too much processed meat today.

Veryflummoxed · 25/10/2016 18:14

My food for today

B. Ff Greek yogurt. Inspired by another post I tried adding double cream to it. Just when I thought things couldn't get better. Grin

L. Two hard boiled eggs, a mountain of leaves, olive oil and mayonnaise.

D. Lamb and veg curry. Very hot so I had yogurt with it and cauliflower and celeriac.

Got some catching up to do with my water.

Lots of interesting food on here.
