Welcome all!

I see that there are almost 130 of us signed up for this one, which is brilliant.

I'm starting the week 1 thread a little early, as I'm away this evening and won't be back home until mid-morning tomorrow, and I know you all want to get cracking Grin

So, without further ado, here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

If your name isn't on it, just add yourself at the bottom. Don't worry about the alphabetisation - wombattoo will sort that out later. Add your weight, but don't touch the blue cells!

It's up to you when you weigh; I'll start a new chat thread each Monday, with a link to the spreadsheet, but if you feel happier weighing on a Friday (or any other day) then it's totally up to you.

Oh and can someone remind me how to make those babybel "puff" things, mentioned on another bootcamp thread? I just whacked one in the microwave for 30secs but it just melted - did I do it for too long / not long enough?

MermaidTears · 30/10/2016 21:11

Hi how do I add myself to the spreadsheet? I'm a week behind but starting officially from tomorrow morning?

MermaidTears · 30/10/2016 21:20

I'm on the spreadsheet!!!
Number 160 I believe if I remember correctly.
Excited to really get into this!!!

MermaidTears · 30/10/2016 21:24

pengweng I start tomorrow and just spotted you mentioned halloumi fries? Please do tell me more if you don't mind.
I have some veggie burgers and they sound delicious to go with it Smile

Veryflummoxed · 30/10/2016 22:03

Lisbapalea. Thirty seconds is not long enough. The last time I did one I think it was nearer two minutes. I do the first minute then go up teeny then ten seconds at a time.

Veryflummoxed · 30/10/2016 22:04

Twenty not teeny

So pleased, managed birthday surprise night out with cocktail bar followed by restaurant, all without drinking a drop! I really thought I would cave, but I didn't and I feel ace - saved a load of money and I know I won't feel like crap in the morning. Drank three large bottle of sparkling water across the evening! Food was really good:

Antipasti: cold cuts
Starter: cream of celeriac soup and crispy sage
Main: chopped steak (like a burger) with fried eggs, salad, chipotle mayo - had broccoli instead of fries
Dessert: cheese! And a decaf coffee

Really hoping this saintly behaviour pays off on the scales tomorrow! Grin

Oops, posted double - promise I wasn't drinking, honest!

Veryflummoxed · 31/10/2016 06:40

Oh Betty well doneSmile

PippilottaViktualia · 31/10/2016 07:19

No loss for me this week. Sad I have been strict as hell, last bootcamp it was falling off me and after bootcamp too until around 6 weeks ago, since then I've been the same, allowing for premenstrual up and down a few pounds. So annoyed.

Hope everyone else has done a lot better! Halloween Smile

momofgirls · 31/10/2016 07:21

End of first week of bootcamp.
Pleased with result so far 4.6lb loss on way back to previous weight at end of summer bootcamp.
Looking forward to reading your posts. KOKO

mermaid i thought i replied to you already but stupid phone must not have posted it.

I basically just cut the block of halloumi into chip shapes. I normally get about 9 from each block. Then fry in butter until golden. They are bloody delicious, even DH loves them which means i have to share though Angry Grin

Eightiesmate · 31/10/2016 08:59

4lbs off this week :) Good luck for the coming week all.

MermaidTears · 31/10/2016 11:51

pengweng that sounds so simple!
I was imagining flour and eggs and all sorts to get the crispy outside.
Can't wait to try these.
I have Linda McCarthy mozzarella burgers, it says 'high protein' on the packet.
Sunless burger with halloumi fries & side salad sounds delicious!

plumstone · 31/10/2016 13:31

Sesra will post pork belly stew tomorrow, travelling today!!

FurryTurnip · 31/10/2016 14:13

SestraClone I recently bought a multipack of Twinings Peppermint tea from Morrisons, has four flavours, including Buttermint, which were gorgeous. Definitely still available!

MercuryInTransit · 11/11/2016 23:14

Any recommendations for dairy and egg free breakfasts? I can't eat iron rich foods either...

I've not lost a pound this week, despite eating nuts instead of fruit for snacks and reducing the carbs. I've had olives and olive oil, and spoons of coconut oil in my coffee.

I've had a lot of compliments on my skin!

Does the low carb high, fat suit everyone? I've had gallstones in the past.

wombattoo · 11/11/2016 23:25

new thread

Mercury come and find us on the link above

fruitbats · 11/11/2016 23:28

Mercury - BIWI has just posted a link about gall stones in response to a question from a poster

BIWI · 12/11/2016 09:43

Mercury

I've not lost a pound this week, despite eating nuts instead of fruit for snacks and reducing the carbs

A couple of very important things here. Firstly, swapping nuts for fruit might even be worse than eating fruit! Nuts contain quite a lot of carbs, and it's really easy to eat a lot of them. This is why they're not allowed in the first two weeks of Bootcamp (and should be restricted in Bootcamp Light)

And second, if you're Bootcamping, you shouldn't really be snacking between meals anyway!

Why can't you eat iron-rich foods? And what constitutes iron-rich foods for you?

Come and join us on the latest chat thread Smile
