Welcome all!

I see that there are almost 130 of us signed up for this one, which is brilliant.

I'm starting the week 1 thread a little early, as I'm away this evening and won't be back home until mid-morning tomorrow, and I know you all want to get cracking Grin

So, without further ado, here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

If your name isn't on it, just add yourself at the bottom. Don't worry about the alphabetisation - wombattoo will sort that out later. Add your weight, but don't touch the blue cells!

It's up to you when you weigh; I'll start a new chat thread each Monday, with a link to the spreadsheet, but if you feel happier weighing on a Friday (or any other day) then it's totally up to you.

Fab to be back! Am starting this one four pounds heavier than I ended the last one so not too bad. General aim is to get to 10 stone by Christmas.
Have had scrambled eggs and butter for breakfast and chilli for lunch (I know kidney beans are bad but as I don't have too much to lose I think I can probably get away with them on day one).

DearPrudence · 24/10/2016 13:50

I've signed up on the spreadsheet. Have a huge amount of weight to lose (6st +). I've tried low carb before and it seems to be the only thing that works for me. Sticking with it has been my problem. Good luck everyone.

Polkadotties · 24/10/2016 13:51

I go on holiday in 3 weeks time. I need to lose at least half a stone before then, hopefully I will.
Got in the shower and forgot to weigh myself so will weigh in tomorrow.
I know if I'm drinking enough if I have to wake up between 2-3am for a wee, no wee means not enough water Grin

fufulina · 24/10/2016 14:42

Morning all - I ant update the spreadsheet - am on mobile, so 170 today and will log that when home at the weekend. Went totally off piste at the weekend. Wine, disaronno, shortbread, posset... Saturday was a blow out. Back on it. Half term and away from home with great running routes. I would like to be 154lb by Christmas - so 16 off. Possibly ambitious. Thanks BIWI and spreadsheet MNers Flowers

Eva50 · 24/10/2016 15:05

Thanks for the spreadsheet and the thread. I'm 6lbs down from the start of the last bootcamp but 8lbs up from the end so this must never happen again. I want this to be the way I eat for life as I feel much better not eating "bad" carbs. I am Gluten free which also suits this WOE.

B. Ff Greek yogurt and a creamy coffee
L. Tuna with a green salad, sprinkling of grated cheese and mayo
D. Will be 2 low carb sausages and cauliflower

lisbapalea · 24/10/2016 15:11

Forgot to update the spreadsheet while laptop was open but will do that later. Weighed in at 12st 6 (174lb) and want to lose a stone.

Actually feel woefully unprepared for this boot camp in terms of what food I have in but have managed so far:

B - egg fried in oil and butter, a small avocado, spinach leaves, Tabasco
L - baby gem leaves dressed in oil and cider vinegar, soft boiled egg, radish, spring onion, one slice of bresaola, some grated cheddar

Lots of water so far!!

43andcounting · 24/10/2016 15:22

Pauline - please tell me about the carb killa protein bar - I'm curious. i would like to have a few "emergency rations" to prevent me falling off the wagon at crunch times.

BiskettiBollockNose · 24/10/2016 15:51

Prudence that's exactly my problem too. Sticking with it.

wombattoo · 24/10/2016 17:31

Spreadsheet updated so far. Whenwillwe I have added your name to the s/s but there is no weight listed for you.

43and I think protein bars are discouraged. Pauline stated that she knows they're not good but it was exceptional circumstances.
We should be eating real unprocessed food Smile

I'll read the posts tomorrow as I am on my way out.

wombattoo · 24/10/2016 17:36

Can I also suggest that you take body measurements.
I found on the last bc that the scales seemed to get stuck at the same weight, but my body definitely got slimmer and clothes much looser. Don't get hung up just on the number on the scales.

Emergefromthedark · 24/10/2016 17:39

Just had a love it tea, chicken breast stuffed with cheese and buttery mashed swede. Full now, starting to crave something sweet already though. Big glass of water called for.

achangeisgonnacome · 24/10/2016 17:48

Breakfast was taken on the hoof as had an early start. So Waitrose tapas cheese and chorizo with a small coffee

Lunch was chicken tikka and salad

Dinner will be gammon and eggs (will force myself to not have chips).

Drank water and herbal teas throughout the day but nowhere near the 2l mark yet.

DearPrudence · 24/10/2016 17:49

So Bisketti let's keep each other going.

galaxygirl45 · 24/10/2016 18:08

Hi all - my highest weight 2 yrs ago was 19stone, and I got a real rollocking off my GP as my BP was through the roof and I was borderline diabetic. As a vegetarian I went onto the low fat diet they recommended (very carb heavy) and really struggled to lose 2 stone, but then weight started creeping up again. I was told in August that I needed to go onto diabetes medication, and it was the final wake up call. So I've been low carbing in a fashion since (via FB groups ) but am getting very bored of the food I'm eating. Current weight is 16 stone, so am heading right way and am looking forward to not doing this alone anymore. Good luck to everyone.

Whenwillwe3meetagain · 24/10/2016 18:11

Thanks wombattoo!
Will add my weight etc when I get to a computer that likes the ss as my work comp won't open it.

For breakfast I had 50g chorizo and 50g cheddar
Random lunch of pork scratchings and cream cheese.
Lamb chops, creamy leeks and mushrooms for supper.

Bertucci · 24/10/2016 18:22

I drank 2 litres of water at work. Omg, how many loo trips?!

I forgot breakfast, which is bad, but I am so used to never eating it.

I had some slices of beef with mozzarella for lunch.

I was too scared to weigh myself! Will force myself tomorrow.

CauliflowerSqueeze · 24/10/2016 18:36

I've signed. Joined the gym today as well. I just can't stick at anything though. Absolutely have to do this.

CauliflowerSqueeze · 24/10/2016 18:37

Water intake is great as I have fizzy water in the fridge. Tastes lovely.

71HourAchmed · 24/10/2016 19:07

Hello all. Not been too bad a day today, although massively overslept this morning and the only thing I could easily think of for lunch were two cold sausages and a chunk of cheese. Lunch was homemade soup (beef and veg) and dinner was a massive pork chop and a load of salad. Need to do better on the water front though - got abbot sick of having to pee all day!

feekerry · 24/10/2016 19:07

Wow. Weighed in at 154lbd today if someone could add me in as i don't have a laptop etc.
That officially pushed me just into the overweight catorgy on bmi. First time ever. Shock

71HourAchmed · 24/10/2016 19:08

Sorry, sausages for breakfast, not like lunch! I didn't sleep till lunchtime, honest Smile

danTDM · 24/10/2016 19:21

Good day! Feeling positive. Not thinking about food at all.

B greek yog, coffee
L bag of salad leaves for 2, toms, cuc and olive oil tuna, egg, dressing
more greek yog
D could only eat an egg

2 litres of water and now herb tea

Tomorrow we'll all be on a roll. Good luck everyone and thanks BIWI.

runningtogetskinny · 24/10/2016 19:28

Thanks for the add, looking forward to losing a stone by Christmas (hopefully!)

BIWI · 24/10/2016 19:49

Auriga if you're going to do Bootcamp, you will have to give up fruit for the next two weeks. Honestly! It's not just about cutting down the carbs, it's about removing all sweet things from our diets to re-train our palates.

The Diet Doctor (and others!) call fruit 'nature's candy' - and think about why you're saying you can't do without it - it's because it's sweet! You will get all the fibre and vitamin C you need from vegetables and salad.

I've so far managed 1.5l of water and I think I'm peeing double.

I never drink enough, I know this. I can't 'nip out' at work whenever I need so I barely drink. At home, I probably have a litre an evening. So 1-3 coffees (that I sip through the day) and 1l is my 'norm'. I have a feeling I'm not going to sleep well tonight!
