Welcome all!

I see that there are almost 130 of us signed up for this one, which is brilliant.

I'm starting the week 1 thread a little early, as I'm away this evening and won't be back home until mid-morning tomorrow, and I know you all want to get cracking Grin

So, without further ado, here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

If your name isn't on it, just add yourself at the bottom. Don't worry about the alphabetisation - wombattoo will sort that out later. Add your weight, but don't touch the blue cells!

It's up to you when you weigh; I'll start a new chat thread each Monday, with a link to the spreadsheet, but if you feel happier weighing on a Friday (or any other day) then it's totally up to you.

oh poo, 13.11 this morning - I was 12.10 when we came back from holiday in August, having put on one solitary pound in three weeks Sad.

Not drinking enough water is going to be my biggest problem I think, I'm OK once I've got the levels up (as your body gets used to not having to wee every two minutes), but that transition from a glass of water at breakfast which is obviously going to set a good example for the rest of the day, but descends into "oh, I've only had two cups of tea all day since then", to necking back the water is tough.

PopGoesTheFuckingWeasel · 24/10/2016 08:26

I've downloaded an app to log my water intake. It should help- as long as I remember to update it!

Flisspaps · 24/10/2016 08:39

emerge Il have 2-3 tbsps with double cream on top. I was like 'WTF' about yoghurt and cream at the last bootcamp but now I'm a convert.

Kleptronic · 24/10/2016 08:41

I keep trying and failing to lose the last stone. Should be a stone and a half to give me a comfort zone. I get 5lb down, relax, then bang it back on again. No more! Pass me the coconut oil! Step away from the wine! Onwards!

Whenwillwe3meetagain · 24/10/2016 08:52

Sorry sorry for being late! Can I join in too - I've been banting for the past month or so which has been great but have been derailed by a holiday and christening yesterday. Really up for this BC as low carb seems to work for me and keen to be at a sensible weight for TTC #2 from Jan.

GuyMartinsSideburns · 24/10/2016 08:56

Good morning! Could someone please put my weight on the spreadsheet? 130. I can't do it on my iPad for whatever reason.

Thanks Flowers

Pengweng · 24/10/2016 08:57

Breakfast: 3 (small) egg omelette with cheese and a sprinkle of bacon lardons. Black coffee and a big glass of water. Probably more than i would usually eat but we are off to the cinema with the DTs at 10am and i'm trying to be full so i can resist the popcorn.

Lunch will be left over taco meat from last night with some cheese and avocado mixed in and the rest of the sour cream. mmmmmmm

Dinner is fish baked in foil with oil and lemon and some roasted sprouts and kale.

Thanks for the thread and the spreadsheet. xx

Good luck everyone. I'm hoping i can stick to it this time as I'm still the same bloody weight as when i attempted it the first time. Blush

KeiD · 24/10/2016 09:08

Starting weight added. Thanks for arranging!

granjinx · 24/10/2016 09:29

Thanks- glad to be back - I need it.

BIWI · 24/10/2016 09:31

Morning all!

Those who are asking about breakfast - the key to this is to stop thinking about breakfast as a meal that requires special food. This has come about purely through the efforts of Mr Kellogg's, who created breakfast cereal, and is promulgated further by the appearance more recently of things like 'breakfast biscuits' whatever the fuck they are..

So treat it like any other meal. Eat what you fancy, as long as it's low carb. Leftovers from the previous night's dinner are always a good idea!

Otherwise, eggs are always a good standby, if you like/can eat those. Boiled, hard boiled (and mashed with butter and/or mayo), scrambled, poached, in an omelette with cheese ...

Or go continental - cold meats/smoked salmon with cheese(s).

Morning everyone,

Glad to get that first weigh in under my belt. Not pretty but thinking of it as a marker from which I drift away!

Finding breakfast hard today as I'd slipped back without realising into only having a coffee for breakfast. Forced myself to have a boiled egg along with some mayo and coffee with cream. Now onto the water challenge.... hope everyone's first day goes well.

PopGoesTheFuckingWeasel · 24/10/2016 09:48

Or go completely weird like me and eat...erm...cornichons dipped in Laughing Cow. Grin

ariana1 · 24/10/2016 10:05

Thanks all involved for setting this up.
I started gearing up to go low carb a month ago and I've lost 11 lbs so way to go! I'm 5'7' and need to lose another 3 stones.

It was easy to add my weight to the spreadsheet and there's a lot to read there.

Ndotto · 24/10/2016 10:15

Dear God, just weighed myself and I am as big as a house Sad! Disgusted with myself. Hope to lose at least a stone on this bootcamp, hopefully one and a half stone. Hungry already, so starting the day with eggs!

Best of luck everybody, and thanks to BIWI for the inspiration!

43andcounting · 24/10/2016 10:21

Thanks BIWI and Wombat. I have added my starting weight. I NEED to knock off the same 1 stone that i've been putting on and off for the last decade!

On the plus side, i think the exercise is starting to show results. After 3 weeks I am starting to see some defintion in my arms, legs and stomach. Yay!

notsoold · 24/10/2016 10:27

First weigh in done . Ohh my stars I am chunkyGrin .
Going to Aldi for more food.
I am very aware ( having done low carb for a while ) that dairy makes me desperate for more dairy and or sugar. So trying to do without. Butter is fine more or less
I looooove coconut oil so that is a plus.
Woke at 5am with the baby so had some boiled eggs with coconut oil
Will have roast pork for lunch and some salad

Hyggeligt · 24/10/2016 10:28

I have just added my name and am hoping to lose a stone, if not more.
I took part in book camp a while ago and it worked wonders....then life got in the way!
I really like reading everyone's meal ideas and am looking forward to some of my clothes fitting me by Christmas!!

LunaLambBhuna · 24/10/2016 11:03

I'm in! Thanks for this BIWI. Hoping to lose at least a stone before Christmas. I think the spreadsheet gives some accountability along side everyone else.

Had my two eggs and coffee with cream this morning. As it's half term, I'm trying to get off to a good start. Not feeling as harassed as I normally would on a Monday.

PaulineFowlersGrowler · 24/10/2016 11:10

If somebody could add my starting weight it would be much appreciated, can't do it on my phone.

Paulinefowlersgrowler 127

I know this is by no means overweight, but I've gained about 14lbs in the last 3 months due to being on mega dose steroids and none of my clothes fit. The weight gain is all on my stomach and face as well, I look about 6 months pregnant.

Breakfast was a rush job, so I had a carb killa protein bar (1.2 g carbs) and a creamy coffee. Will endeavour to do better tomorrow, but I had to take my meds on a full stomach and didn't have time to do anything better.

Auriga · 24/10/2016 12:16

I'm in and also trying to encourage DH to keep up with me.

Me - 65.3 kg = 144 lb, waist circ 33.5" = 86 cm
Him - 96.3 kg

Breakfast: black coffee, natural yoghurt, salami spread with cream cheese. 250 ml water.

I know I need to cut down my reliance on dairy. Also know I can't go completely without fruit, though I love raspberries, which helps.

What I find especially difficult is sticking to low carb when working away, so need to be prepared with lost of packed lunch options so I don't get ravenous and buy a sandwich.

Working at home today so will try to fit in two or three dog walks.

Thanks for thread, everyone. Feeling optimistic Smile

MaryThorne · 24/10/2016 12:23

Breakfast - bacon and eggs and mushrooms fried in butter and olive oil, creamy coffee

Lunch - egg mayo (homemade mayo) with lettuce wraps

Dinner will be lamb stew leftover from the weekend (low carb veg, no thickening, olive oil and spice marinade) with courgetti stir-fried with coconut oil.

I've been low carbing since May. The big thing for me will be remembering all the water - so far so good!

PopGoesTheFuckingWeasel · 24/10/2016 12:54

B- cornichons and Laughing Cow
L- 2 Heck 97% pork sausages
D- 2 pork steaks with broccoli, spinach and green beans in a cheese sauce (creme fraiche, cheddar, Cajun seasoning)

Is there enough fat here?

RaisinGirls · 24/10/2016 12:55

Just had lunch: half an avocado, one tomato, spring onion, cucumber and handful of lettuce with half a chicken breast (skin on). Homemade dressing of olive oil and white wine vinegar drenched it. Accompanied with almost a litre of water.

Not sure what I am going to make for dinner tonight as DH was meant to be away but is home instead and I'm not sure the planned pork chop will stretch for both!

I am joining you all. I am the heaviest I have ever been. Too much wine, carbs and not enough exercise so it's a booze free 6 weeks for me which should kick start me!! Also half term is over here in Scotland so I am back to work and ready for a routine. LOVE the spreadsheet. Water also a big issue for me as well so lots to change!
