I am in. 3 weeks off LCHF, enjoyed it mostly but so ready to get back on it as a little bit bloated now. one more day of eating and drinking festive treats to use things up then bring on the carb flu!

HammerToFall · 03/01/2016 08:53

I d really like to,join the new boot camp. I started yesterday but I'm a bit unsure over what I can and can't eat Grin

HammerToFall · 03/01/2016 10:03

Thanks stunt. That's just what I was looking for Smile

MummySparkle · 03/01/2016 10:18

Count me in on the 18th. I've cut out bread for this week, need to get rid of the Christmas food first though

regenerationfez · 03/01/2016 11:08

I've broken my foot so am completely incapacitated! I also will be reliant on DH to do all the cooking. It might be a bit of an ask to get him to do low carb as well. It might give me a chance to get my drinking levels up though, although that may lead to more hobbling to the toilet than I needGrin

LexLoofah · 03/01/2016 18:49

Oh no regen what happened?

Had our last supper so to speak, all ready for tomorrow

After 3 weeks in carbland I can say for me at least the grass is not greener, the carb lovers can keep their rice and pasta, did not even have any, bread is convenient but bloats me horribly, BUT potatoes are another matter ah going to miss me spuds - until next Christmas ....

FelicityFunknickle · 03/01/2016 18:53

I have reached an embarrassing shape and size so would love ro bootcamp with you all.i am starting tomorrow. Just polishing off some christmas pudding and wine.
Sorry to hear about your broken foot regen
Can you scoff smoked salmon straight from the packet? Thereby doing away with the need for cooking?

FelicityFunknickle · 03/01/2016 18:54

Yes lex i feel potatoes will be missed at chez funknickle.

FelicityFunknickle · 03/01/2016 18:56

I had a chip butty yesterday Xmas Blush

LexLoofah · 03/01/2016 19:20

felicity yes you can, it is cured so ready to eat and great for brek with scr eggs, OMG chip butty why did I not have that for last supper? We had homemade potato cakes last week, have been dreaming of those since stating boot camp last Jan. I am however looking forward to the lovely fat and flAvours of low carb. Sang to DH just now " how do you like your eggs in the morning?" Kids chimed in with correct lyrics, he just looked at me like I had finally cracked

regenerationfez · 03/01/2016 20:04

errr...a champagne and new years eve related mishap Blush My own fault I didn't look where I was going and fell over!

LexLoofah · 03/01/2016 20:20

Ouch!

Knitmyshickers10 · 03/01/2016 21:39

I'm in! Did LCHF and lost 30lbs 18 months ago but have gained 10 back and all my clothes are very tight.

I need to revisit the rules!

DiscoDancer · 03/01/2016 22:41

Can someone links to the 'rules' and 'guides' that BIWI normally places links to on the first post of each bootcamp thread? Looking to refresh my memory and can't find the info anywhere even though I can see it in my head! Am all geared to start tomorrow morning! Would love to lose a stone in 6 weeks!

FelicityFunknickle · 04/01/2016 06:53

Today is my launch day for LC.
Quite exited.
I am making pancakes for kids' breakfast and probs omlette with spinach for me.
Already made a sugar free jelly for sweet emergencies.
Roast beef with cauli and brocolli cheese (sauce without flour) for supper.
Blush
Tbh just staying away from my usual glut of lattes, wine and biscuits will be quite telling.
Good luck everyone.

I'm easing back in, was going to start today but my parents are going away for 7 weeks at the end of the week, so have invited us for dinner every day this week! So i'll be having lc breakfast and lunch and what i'm given for dinner!! Cant get into my water drinking yet either, been rather dehydrated recently as eating and drinking aggrevates my TN. Seeing the emergency dentist today to see if i have any sort of infection causing the constant pain :(

VikingLady · 04/01/2016 13:42

In buying up reduced turkey etc to freeze in preparation!

I don't know how much I lost last time as I stopped weighing before the end, but I went down from a size 18-20 to a 12-14 in 3m! The first fortnight was hard, mainly due to breaking my habit of gorging on sugary crap in the evenings, but the only real problem after that was eating out!

FelicityFunknickle · 04/01/2016 14:58

viking I have already started fretting about how I will manage my evening without wine Blush

Knitmyshickers10 · 04/01/2016 18:23

I started today but think I'm eating too much

Breakfast 2 eggs and butter
Lunch swede and leek soup made with chicken carcass stock
Mid afternoon BPC and a small bag of scratchings
Dinner 2 low carb burgers with cheese and cucumber
Sloshing in water. Stuffed!

StuntNun · 04/01/2016 20:52

Don't worry how much you're eating. Just be guided by your appetite and it will naturally reduce once your body adapts to running on fat instead of carbs.

Knitmyshickers10 · 04/01/2016 21:30

Thank you. Have a headache this evening so that's usually a sign that the carb craving is starting!

BIWI · 04/01/2016 22:06

Just a reminder that sugar-free stuff will contai. Artificial sweeteners, which we try too avoid on BOotcamp as much as possible. Not only because they are artificial, but also because there is a school of thought that says they can cause a release of insulin like sugar-sweetened stuff - but mainly because we're trying to break the hold that sweet stuff has over us.

lisbapalea · 04/01/2016 22:22

Ooh glad to find this thread and pleased to be getting back on the straight and narrow after lots of carby twattery! I will be doing bootcamp light until the 18th although have dh's birthday in late Jan so might have to suspend the rules for a couple of days then!

Last year I lost 2st on bootcamp and this morning's weigh in shows I gained 3-4lb over Christmas. I would love to lose another stone and get below 11 and a half stone this year so I am properly within the healthy BMI range (think it's 11.10 to be healthy for my height of 5'8").

So food today:

B - coyo and ff Greek yog with berries
L - cafe rouge Caesar salad without green beans or croutons, coffee with cream
D - scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, rocket and avocado with walnut oil and cider vinegar

Lots more water than I have been drinking recently, although prob still not enough....

Back to work tomorrow so will be same breakfast plus a packed lunch salad involving avocado, mozzarella, green pepper, cucumber, rocket and an oily dressing. Need to make a plan for dinner....

NewYearNewName16 · 04/01/2016 22:34

B : 3 black coffees
L: fried bacon, leek, cauliflower
D: mushrooms and smoked ham in cream, cheese and basil sauce
S: cheese chunks, cup tea with splash naughty milk

3 litres of water...but need to up this to 4 +, I know.
