Hello everyone. Smile I'm starting this week's thread as BIWI's away and Sayra's internet connection is a bit unreliable.

Here is the The Spreadsheet of Fabulousness.

Here is the weight tracker.

So firstly, a massive WELL DONE! for surviving the first fortnight. You now have the option of moving to Bootcamp Light, which means that you can introduce low carb fruits (berries, basically - raspberries, strawberries, red and blackcurrants) and nuts to your diet. Be careful though, as this can add a lot of carbs. Nuts, especially, can be very moreish. Some people stay longer on Bootcamp proper, some do Bootcamp Light at weekends and drink wine. I'm sure BIWI will be along when she gets the chance, to give you all some pointers.

Good luck with the weigh in, everyone, and please remember that weight loss is not a linear thing. Don't be discouraged if you haven't seen as much of a loss as you'd like - just KOKO and The Whoosh Fairy will visit you, whisking away a sudden whoosh of weight. Wink

Hello All

new link

try this link to the sheet, I had the same problem of not being able to make any changes using the link above, but fine when I used the link from week 2, no idea why but it seems to work - can someone else please give it a go and report back?

1lb on for me so starting the no dairy this week except one cup of tea in the morning

Tetley650 · 25/05/2015 14:22

It's water - I've just looked over what I've eaten and it's the water not the food!!! Have today nearly drunk my 3l and will have more later.

To make bpc I put 15g of butter and coconut oil in a mug and pour over a little boiling water and use a little frother to mix then I pour coffee from a cafetière and froth again. Seems to work and no accidents!

DramaAlpaca · 25/05/2015 14:25

If the spreadsheet is working for anyone, please can you add in 193lb for me. Thanks Flowers

DramaAlpaca · 25/05/2015 14:26

Cross posted with you Lex - yes it's working now! Star

Ellesbelles04 · 25/05/2015 14:42

Thanks Lex for the spreadsheet link. Happy with my losses so far, and I feel that carrying on with full bootcamp is something I can stick to for another two weeks before re-evaluating introduction of bootcamp light foods.

As I had hoped, these first two weeks have been a useful way to re-evaluate some of the food choices I have made previously, and makes you realise that 90% of what is sold in the super market is absolute rubbish and in most cases not what your body needs!

Good luck starting week 3 everyone :)

saranghae · 25/05/2015 15:00

Thank you Lex for the spreadsheet link Flowers! Been trying to update since this morning.

Hope you are feeling better Lisba, maybe ease up on the fat but yeah like others have said, go to the doctor if it doesn't get better.

It's strange how I don't feel as hungry in the mornings with this woe, in the past, I used to feel ravenous and ready to kill someone.
I think I have lost weight around my face, hopefully by next week I will be free from the double chin Wink.

Happy with my loss this week, will weigh again tomorrow morning just to double check my scales are accurate. Does anyone else have the electric scales which tell the body fat and muscle stuff? How accurate are they?

I'll be continuing with bootcamp this week and move on to light next week and hopefully once my exams are over I can start working out!
Best of luck for the rest of the week Smile

I just tried mushrooms fried in coconut oil. Yuck yuck yuck. I think they tasted okay but the whiff of coconut from them was quite horrible. How do the paleo crowd manage? I'm going back to lard and dripping for frying.

ditavonteesed · 25/05/2015 15:11

Could someone add me if they are able, I still cant do it, 181.6. ta
Just been shopping and I swore I wasnt buying any clothes until I have lost wat I want to lose but I had a Marks and sparks voucher to spend and have bought some skinny cut off jeans and a top, in a size 14. Now 6 weeks ago I couldnt get into my size 16 jeans so I am utterly amazed. I carry most of my weight on y stomach and that is what seems to be going first so I am well chuffed.

DramaAlpaca · 25/05/2015 15:12

Done for you dita.

ditavonteesed · 25/05/2015 15:16

Thanks :)

ADVICE NEEDED:

I have two events coming up, a camp and a conference (which I run) where I'l have no control over my food. How catastrophic would it be to eat carbs?

BIWI · 25/05/2015 15:50

Superkat - if you're tuning it can you not exercise some influence over the food?

If not please don't use it as an excuse to eat carbs!

What will be on the menu - can you post it for us to help you?

Can you ask for special menus for you? Tell them that you can't eat wheat/get them to provide you with salad or a meat/cheese plate

Or take stuff with you if you can

BIWI · 25/05/2015 15:50

Running it not tuning it!

runmummyrun123 · 25/05/2015 16:43

Hello, am I doing something wrong with the spreadsheet? It does not register my clicks on any of the cells. The links to the rules etc. are working but just not the spreadsheet. Please help.

LexLoofah · 25/05/2015 16:50

runmummy try this link

runmummyrun123 · 25/05/2015 17:15

Thank you LexLoofah, that worked.

superkat · 25/05/2015 17:16

Hi BIWI, thanks. I'm not that kind of person, this is not about excuses. Sadly special menus are out and I can't take my own food - long story just not possible.

Gcalgske · 25/05/2015 17:45

Feeling ropey today. Confused
Well done everyone on loses. To any gains /STS I say KOKO. I'm the queen of the 4lb gain or STS for 6 weeks but it works, eventually!

I'm STS so happy enough, it's TOTM and I have a stinky cold so that's alright by me. No brekkie today. Got a sore throat and had two read with splashes of whole milk.
Lunch was some cold ham (not very hungry)
Dinner will be celeriac/ mackerel dauphinois.

Had half a celeriac in the fridge and some smoked mackerel that was BB date tomorrow so made a gratin with the fish, lots of grain mustard, cream, almond milk, Parmesan and topped with sharp cheddar. Will have with a green leafy salad with oily dressing and a bit of tomato.

LondonBetti · 25/05/2015 17:45

For those who haven't lost much or put some back on - I lost only a little last week but the scales are showing a loss of 9.5lbs this week (!! I got DH to check it twice Smile). I ate the same both weeks so am skeptical of the huge difference in a week. For me I think that other factors have been at play - TOTM, water intake, time of weighing - so whoever said that we need to track over a couple of weeks is very right. That said, this is my first time dieting so what do I know? Grin

Gcalgske · 25/05/2015 17:46

Teas not read!

CrabbyTheCrabster · 25/05/2015 17:47

Sorry everyone that my link didn't work. Blush I did it on the ipad (c&p from the wk2 one), maybe that's why.

Stunt I'm sorry you're going through such difficult times at the mo. Flowers Hope you like the crumble!

Just marking place on the new thread. I am trying to see if mum would like to try the LC diet. Her weight is always up and down and although she lost a lot of weight on a vlcd she still creeps up from time to time but not back to where she was. She's not allowed to do a vlcd anymore because of her heart and I tried to explain the principles of LC to her but we'd both benefit from a book about it. I recall John Briffa's book and the India Knight book being mentioned. Any thoughts on which one?

Karbea · 25/05/2015 18:27

Evening all,

Not a hugely better day today tbh. I have put new batteries in the scales though so that's a step forward.

Breakfast wasn't very good - nespresso with almond milk, a penguin bar and a banana.
Lunch was good - omelette with yellow pepper, sundried tomato, salad onion, and spinach and salad.
Snacks - another nespresso and almond milk and penguin Blush
I think we are having chinese for dinner which is terrible...

I think there is only one penguin left now and won't be buying anymore chocolate!

BIWI · 25/05/2015 18:31

karbea?! WTAF?!

How on earth is that low carbing?

Did you read everyone's posts on last weeks thread about cheating?

Patapouf · 25/05/2015 18:39

Star for everyone & KOKO! Flowers for those of you who are having a rough time at the moment.

Karbea yellow pepper is also a touch too carby for BC! sun dried tomatoes might also be too.

B: coyo with a pinch of flaxseed
L: Jamie's Italian burger without the bun. Very pleased with myself for resisting other options until I discovered the cauliflower fritti had breadcrumbs on Sad hopefully the couple of florets I did eat before my brain remembered won't knock me out of ketosis.
D: probably swede, celeriac and bacon lardons with another green veg of some sort!

lex I figured out how to open the spreadsheet on my iPad, the problem was the fact I have the most recent version of the app which has a bug! For anyone who wants to be able to alter the spreadsheet who couldn't: i emailed myself the link to the spreadsheet (to a gmail account) opened the email in the gmail app, clicked on the link and it opened in the Sheets app!
