Welcome everyone!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness that the lovely Sayra creates and cares for. Come and confess all.

If you prefer, you can use the individual Weight Tracker, provided by MNHQ, which will open (I hope) tomorrow morning.

Please make sure that you know the rules, and that you know about the allowed veg - look at the tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet - and think about printing them off so that you have them to hand

If you have any questions, obviously you can ask them here, but there's also a specific questions thread because the chat threads can move so quickly that questions can get missed.

Unfortunately I'm working pretty full on for the next three days, so won't be around very much - I'll try and check in as much as I can, but in reality I'm not going to be around very much until Thursday - apologies in advance.

Very good luck to you all

supper- big salad with chicken and hard boiled egg and mayo
. will put the wine behind me and drink lots of water for the rest of the evening

weegierama · 11/05/2015 21:35

good to have started

b. 2 boiled eggs, 2 coffees with double cream
l. massive chopped salad with turkey and oil / vinegar dressing
d. roast lamb, roast swede, tomatos
snack; babybel

im not weighing initially as quite triggering for me

good luck tomorrow everyone.

tutorproof · 11/05/2015 21:35

Not bad for day one.

4k run
Yoghurt & vanilla extract for breakfast
Tuna mayo & cucumber for lunch
Courgette & Goat's cheese tortilla for dinner

I also had a bag of pork crackling! Surely this can't be diet food!

However I have struggled to drink enough water - particularly as I went running. I've only just started running again and was very slow but it will get there. I feel the extra weight too on my knees so am even more keen to lose it.

DramaAlpaca · 11/05/2015 21:42

Dinner was steak, on a bed of young spinach leaves, with lots of caesar salad dressing & butter. I was supposed to have some leftover cauliflower rice with it, but forgot I'd put it in the microwave. Too full for it now anyway.

I'm on target with the water - about 3 litres down me now.

First day has gone well.

dillite · 11/05/2015 21:55

Day one got off OK but then I messed up at dinnertime. Mostly because I hadn't actually planned on starting today so wasn't ready for it!

Breakfast- scrambled eggs with cheese
Lunch- tuna salad with a boiled egg
Dinner- sauteed chicken with pearl barley and broccoli- in my defence I spent all day scrubbing carpets and did not realise that I was literally out of food other than some chicken. Then my daughter asked for pearl barley for dinner and as I was exhausted I just did a one pot meal for the two of us. I'm off to do the food shop tomorrow, so will be better prepared.

Loads of water as carper scrubbing is some thirsty work.

StuntNun · 11/05/2015 22:00

M0gz I found my TOTM cravings and period pains settled down after a couple of months of low carb.

lavenderhoney · 11/05/2015 22:04

I can't add my weight so I'll have to wait til in the week when I get access to something that isn't an iPad:)

B- 2 cups of coffee with a dash of double cream, piece of Brie
L- nothing but I was going for a very long run and I had loads of water
D - pork, roasted kale, courgettes in butter, DC had new potatoes

Water- I am sitting drinking water and I'm determined to drink my quota:)

saranghae · 11/05/2015 22:19

Had a bit of a disaster at lunch, think my salad was too watery and so leaked. Luckily I had double bagged but not very nice to sort out in a busy canteen.
I can't remember if I wrote what I've eaten properly in a previous post so here it is. Also how many eggs are you allowed to eat in one day?

B- greek yoghurt with cinnamon
L- boiled eggs, cucumber/spinach salad
D - Mushroom,runner bean,cauliflower stir fry

Mogs I know what you mean. Always seems to be the TOM when you are doing something important/fun etc. Was starving all day and craving some carbs or a cup of tea with sugar.

Anyway making do with some herbal tea and painkillers!

Patapouf · 11/05/2015 22:20

lavender I'm happy to do it for you if you'd like?
and anyone else thats on an iPad!

saranghae · 11/05/2015 22:21

sorry for spelling your name wrong, MOgZ

ceres · 11/05/2015 22:25

I'm not all that organised yet but have plenty of easy food in, it will be fine for a few days but then I know I will get bored so am going to be reading all the old low carb threads for recipe ideas and inspiration.

Today I had scrambled eggs for breakfast, salad with salami and oily dressing for lunch plus a few olives, steak and salad for dinner. And gallons of water (ok, maybe not gallons but it feels like it!)

SayraT · 11/05/2015 22:28

Thank you so much Lex you Star

I will check the spreadsheet later and also try and work out what the problem with the spreadsheet is. I don't have an i-anything though so it is hard for me to test things out. If anyone else who had an i-something could google and try out the suggestions for editing a google drive spreadsheet with an ipad/phone then that would be very useful.

mummyto3under4 · 11/05/2015 22:32

Here goes

B. Three fried eggs
L. Large Chicken salad
D. Tuna vegetable bake (tuna, tomatoes, aubergine, mushrooms, pepper, onion cheese) accompanied by a baby leaf spinach, courage and carrot salad.

Throughout the day had a hand full of olives
Couple spoons of sugar free Jelly
6 sugarsnap peas dipped in creamed cheese
Half a carrot
1 cup of tea with whole milk
Cup of mint green tea
Loads of water

Looking at what others have put down I thinking ive eaten too much!!

Good luck tomorrow everyone xx

StuntNun · 11/05/2015 22:43

Saranghae I don't think you should eat more than twelve eggs in a day. The most I've ever managed in a day is nine.

PlayNice · 11/05/2015 22:45

To anyone who likes herbal tea, Taylor's of Harrogate do a great Kew Garden range with a fab Sweet Rhubarb tea that's nicer than any other herbal tea I've had (although yet to locate that Twinning's Buttermint tea I saw people posting about last BC).

Username12345 · 11/05/2015 22:53

BIWI Lancashire Farm Greek style yogurt.

I've tried cinnamon - Didn't like it
Tried vanilla extract - Too perfumey.

I usually have yogurt with fruit but I'm not allowed fruit on BC.

m0gz · 11/05/2015 23:03

Don't worry about the name saranghae, I'll probably change it again soon. I might opt for BlackOlive as I'm eating so many of them!

I've been low carbing since the 2nd of march and have lost 1st 3lb so far. Probably would be lots more without the rum, chocolate, and peanut butter detours Grin Im hoping boot camp will kick start some better eating habits (I often only eat one meal a day pre bc) and of course some much needed weight loss.

Don't get me started on eggs - we had two boxes of 15 in the fridge yesterday and I need to buy more tomorrow Blush

justonemorethread · 11/05/2015 23:09

Hello everyone,
Have not had time to read through thread but looking forward to seeing how it all unfolds over the next few weeks!
I am in italy visiting family, it is very hard being taken out to a delicious pizza restaurant, watching everyone order gelato, and skipping the cappuccinos and croissants in the morning, especially as it is quite a strssful situation here for me.
So i am very proud that i managed to resist everything apart from a cappuccino!
But it s only day one, we ll see....

mummyto3under4 · 11/05/2015 23:16

M0gz, how long does it take before you started seeing the results I started on Friday so this is my fourth day of BC I would have thought that I'd have lost at least 1lb by today but I'm exactly the same weight I was when I started ¦((
I don't trust my scales though so my go buy some new ones tomorrow

m0gz · 11/05/2015 23:33

mummyto3under4 As my dh (and the Wii fit) keep telling me, your weight fluctuates throughout the day so I wouldn't worry about weighing yourself too often.

I don't weigh every day and sometimes not every week. To really mess with my head, my body likes to change shape and fit into smaller clothes and at the same time get the scales to say I have lost nothing!

I would give it at least 6 weeks. I always drop a lot of 'weight' at the start but its just water and then it takes a few weeks to pick up again. Were you eating a lot of carbs before BC and are you drinking enough water now?

ijustwanttobeme · 11/05/2015 23:48

Am so glad BC has started again. I was in serious danger of succumbing to all out carbs again Sad

B: coffee, salami and cheese
L: cheese salad and a coffee
D: chicken, spinach, okra, and salad
S: sugar free jelly

Here's to another successful.BC for all of us.

BIWI · 12/05/2015 00:02

mummyto3under4

I think you're eating too many carbs!

Here goes

B. Three fried eggs

This is perfect!

L. Large Chicken salad

Also perfect - but I hope that you had an oily dressing on the salad, and/or mayo on the side, to make sure you got the fat?

D. Tuna vegetable bake (tuna, tomatoes, aubergine, mushrooms, pepper, onion cheese) accompanied by a baby leaf spinach, courage and carrot salad.

I assume 'courage' means courgettes?!

This is OK, but if you've had pepper, onion and carrot, this could have been quite carby.

How much fat was there in this?

Throughout the day had a hand full of olives

Olives are a perfect low carb snack

Couple spoons of sugar free Jelly

NO, NO, NO!!! NO ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS IN BOOTCAMP!

6 sugarsnap peas dipped in creamed cheese

Peas are way too carby

Half a carrot

Carrot is also too carby - especially as you had some in your salad!

1 cup of tea with whole milk
Cup of mint green tea

Fine

Loads of water

Sounds fine - but how much is 'loads'? Does it tally with the amount in the rules that you should be drinking?

Overall, it's not bad, but could have been too carby and not enough fat.

You need to ditch the veg that's more than 3g carbs per 100g for the first two weeks of Bootcamp.

Total fail yesterday by afternoon.

Screaming acidy 5 week old broke me, poor little love and today the bigger DC are sick.

Back on the wagon though. Enjoying seeing what everyone is eating. Today I'm menu planning and doing an online food order.

Off to try bullet proof tea. It's ok on bc lite yes? I'm bf so sticking with lite.

mummyto3under4 · 12/05/2015 05:48

Thank you so much for responding ladies its made me feel so supported and motivated

M0gz
Yes I have three kids under four so used to have no breakfast and a very late lunch on the go then a massive dinner very late at night. I would have tons of chocolate and sweets to get me through the day, snack on crips, biscuits, sweets and eat tons of starch potatoes, pasta, rice and couscous etc always loads of veg too. Every evening once kids are in bed I'd have a glass of wine maybe two bags of crips maybe some coke and 400g chocolate :-( I'm so ashamed of my unhealthy eating now looking that written down. I'm determined to change my ways. My Kids are always fed very healthily and get no sweets or chocolate always fresh food with loads if veg fresh fruit and yogurts for pudding and seeds, nuts, crackers, dry fruit and fresh fruit for snacks, only drink water and always active. I should really have been eating like my kids but they stress me out so much that hiding in the cupboard and eating chocolate was my only saving grace.

BIWI
Yes the tuna bake had tons of fat the aubergine was fried in olive, then I used the oil to stir fry the veg and sauce and I chucked in the tuna with all the olive oil in the tin plus the oil from the cheese when I baked it so these was a dam of oil in my plate. I didn't need any dressing as my salad was swimming in the oil yes I meant courgettes. I'll try harder to watch the veg I'm cooking. I only eat when hungry and I'm still breastfeeding a 7 month old. I'm assuming it OK to do the diet as she has weaned onto solids really well and I make sure her food has plenty of carbs.
AND FOR THE FIRST TIME IN AGES I DID A 20MIN PILATES WORKOUT!!! FOUND T SOO HARD!!!

I'm still having having trouble adding myself to the spreadsheet

GOOD LUCK TODAY FELLOW BCAMPERS xxx
