Welcome everyone!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness that the lovely Sayra creates and cares for. Come and confess all.

If you prefer, you can use the individual Weight Tracker, provided by MNHQ, which will open (I hope) tomorrow morning.

Please make sure that you know the rules, and that you know about the allowed veg - look at the tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet - and think about printing them off so that you have them to hand

If you have any questions, obviously you can ask them here, but there's also a specific questions thread because the chat threads can move so quickly that questions can get missed.

Unfortunately I'm working pretty full on for the next three days, so won't be around very much - I'll try and check in as much as I can, but in reality I'm not going to be around very much until Thursday - apologies in advance.

Very good luck to you all

Dita - i make BPC by blitzing fresh brewed coffee using a stick blender with 25g of butter with a dessert spoonful of coconut oil.

It does taste coconutty but i have gotten used to it now. You can buy coconut oil that is less coconutty. Drink when hot and stir if necessary - has the bonus of being moisturising on your lips. It is an accquired taste but i love them and have them for breakfast every morning.

dita I don't find my BPCs taste of butter or coconut, just like a creamy coffee. I think if you have a v coconutty oil it will come through but would not find it unpleasant. Just whack your freshly brewed coffee, butter and oil in a blender for a minute. I would not have it instead of brekkie though if you are just starting out hth

I dont have a stick blender but I do have a normal jug blender, will I be able to do it in that? Do you just have bpc, is it filling enough, I think this would be a really good brekkie for me when I go back to uni next week as mornings are always a stress with school run and public transport.

You can also have bullet proof tea, which is what I do as I don't drink coffee. I've got used to it now & have a couple a day as it's a great way to add fat.

I make a mug of decaf tea, add 25g salted butter and a dessertspoon of coconut oil, and whizz it up in the blender. I usually add a dash of unsweetened soya milk too.

I've switched from ordinary tea to decaf over the last few weeks relatively painlessly, and I usually have soya milk in it, unless someone else is kind enough to make me a cuppa & forgets - then I just drink it gratefully.

I must try rooibos tea with coconut oil, I have some at home I think.

dita cross posted with you. I find bullet proof tea easily keeps me going until lunchtime, and yes you can do it in a blender.

Rule 1 of Bootcamp - you must eat three meals a day

If you're replacing breakfast with a bulletproof coffee you are depriving yourself of important nutrients. And in the first couple of weeks we're working on getting our blood sugar levels stable.

Move onto a BPC in Bootcamp Light if you want to, but far better to eat proper food for breakfast in Bootcamp.

Maryz and BIWI it's www.mumsnet.com/health/diet-and-fitness/low-carb-foods

It's not an 'allowed' list though - it's a list of carb % for each veg. It says at the top of the list that you should stick to ones of 3% and lower.

which are the least coconutty brands? I hate it :)

ah ok BIWI, sorry didnt think about it like that was thinking of it as a meal which of course logically it is not. I am loving lc breakfasts anyway, any excuse for a good fried egg so I will stick with that, thanks.

It's got carrots at 2.5 though... that's not right, is it?

Cabbage at 5% yet (I've always understood it to be) ok for BC... is that because it's a large portion for 100g?

Need to drink some more water. Today so far / planned:

B: scrambled eggs. Coffee w cream
L: leftover roasted veg and a Black Farmer sausage (I discovered the Co-Op sell them in NI!)
Sn: ham & boursin
D: going to be fish pie

98.6kg this morning. Glad to be started BC. Have been doing a bit of messing around with my eating beforehand.

Afternoon everyone.

I failed at three meals a day today. It has been manic here today between school runs and work. I have so far managed two pints of water, two coffees with cream, a piece of cheese and a boiled egg.

I think my body hates me though as it knew I didn't buy dark chocolate or rum in tesco yesterday as I was preparing for boot camp and therefore it made today the perfect day for that time of the month :( Given the circumstances I did put a sweetner in my coffee (it was either that or falling headfirst into the biscuit tin at work) Does anyone else get a mega carb craving around that time of the month? How do you ride it out on boot camp without chocolate?!

Afternoon everyone, I forgot to weigh this morning so will have to add my starting weight to the spreadsheet etc tomorrow.

I've been trying to maintain since the last bootcamp and testing out various things to see what I can and can't think about re-introducing once I reach my goal weight so given the disaster of rice pudding (instant agonizing death followed by massive gain and crazy bloating), too much dark chocolate over Easter and the alarming level of addiction I seem to have developed for peanuts, I need to crack down and get back to loosing properly or I'll never get there.

Ooh Maryz is this the page you meant? It does have that as the 'allowed veg on bootcamp' list (with all the things you mentioned). Shock

BIWI you might have to give MNHQ a kick up the bum to get that changed.

Hi Bootcampers, Well done for almost getting through our first day everyone. Rally good day food wise here.

B: 1 fried egg, 2 chipolatas, 1 small pancake (just egg/cream cheese nothing added)
L: Chicken Caesar salad and 1/2 avocado
D: salmon in buttered leeks with sauteed asparagus, green beans and courgette

Snack was a mini babybel.

Today has been good as I've been busy at work. I think I'm going to struggle without nuts this first fortnight as I have been having them often as a snack. Think I need more fat to avoid snacking.

Good Luck everyone!

I'm really looking forward to this bootcamp. I weighed this morning and was a little disappointed, as I've been lcing for 10 days and taken off only 4lb so I think I need to cut down on the amount of cream I've been having. Means less tea though! Sad

After the HM yesterday I'm really hungry and thirsty today.

My diary

B - avocado, cheese, ham, mayo (big bowl at 10:30)
S - salami
D - steak, green salad, peppercorn sauce

name and weight added. Breakfast today was smoked salmon, some cheese and some bacon. Hotel breakfast buffets are difficult, but managed to stay away from the bread and pastries section. All good so far, not sure how lunch will pan out, but I are so much salmon for breakfast not that hungry right now.

Good luck!!!
