Welcome everyone!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness that the lovely Sayra creates and cares for. Come and confess all.

If you prefer, you can use the individual Weight Tracker, provided by MNHQ, which will open (I hope) tomorrow morning.

Please make sure that you know the rules, and that you know about the allowed veg - look at the tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet - and think about printing them off so that you have them to hand

If you have any questions, obviously you can ask them here, but there's also a specific questions thread because the chat threads can move so quickly that questions can get missed.

Unfortunately I'm working pretty full on for the next three days, so won't be around very much - I'll try and check in as much as I can, but in reality I'm not going to be around very much until Thursday - apologies in advance.

Very good luck to you all

Thanks lisba, nibbling on some nuts now, not strictly bootcamp but better than toast!

nobodyknowswheremyjonnyhasgone · 15/05/2015 20:45

Just checking in. So enjoying all of the food ideas. Haven't eaten cauliflower since my mother used to serve it up boiled and soggy...bleurgh. But you can't ALL be wrong! Will try it next week.

Today

B: FF Greek yog
L: Tuna mayo and big spinach salad
D. Thai-ish green curry with whole green pepper.

Weekend looms, always my downfall. Need to plan meals properly but too tired tonight....tomorrow should be ok as we all busy doing different things so will prob eat alone. Sunday though, need to come up with a family meal.

trashcanjunkie · 15/05/2015 21:11

Evening all. Wonder if we have a spreadsheet troll! Poor you Sayra!

Ate chicken and lamb tandoori for breakfast. Lunch was three rollmops and some pea shoots dressed in oil. Dinner was mushrooms and courgettes fried, with buttery kale and lamb shoulder. Didn't eat loads, and feel peckish again so might have me a little snacky. Am posting from the bath. Been climbing again. Jiggered but foul mood has passed.

SayraT · 15/05/2015 21:21

Its alright trashy, fixing the spreadsheet is piss easy compared with doing final checks on my thesis! I spent today double checking statistics, I hate stats.

ijustwanttobeme · 15/05/2015 21:32

B: MacDonald sausagex2 and the awful scrambled egg that goes with it. No hash brown, no muffin.
L: coffee
D: peppered pork steaks with salad

Not as much water as I'd like.

Having been on a bit of a downer the last few days, I weighed myself today and I'm actually only 2lbs heavier than when I ended BC last time.

So I've just ordered a load of clothes (in smaller size than when I began Jan boot camp) tonight for our holiday in August, so I'm hoping that'll keep me focused till the end of this one.

nobodyknowswheremyjonnyhasgone · 15/05/2015 21:38

A quick question for those who have completed more than one bootcamp, what do you do in between?

Preminstreltension · 15/05/2015 21:41

B: 3 scrambled eggs with butter and 3 low carb chipolatas
L: pate with a little gem lettuce and a Coyo yogurt
D: chicken with mushroom and cream sauce and green beans

3l of water. That Coyo yogurt is lovely. Had it for the first time today - could not believe how nice it was and it tasted sweet but is almost no carb. Good to have another option to replace my dairy (Greek yog) breakfasts

TheCowThatLaughs · 15/05/2015 21:48

B - ff Greek yoghurt, cream, vanilla extract
L - salmon, avocado, cucumber, boiled egg, spinach with home made mayonnaise
D - omelette with cheese, spinach and fried mushrooms, cooked in butter and oil
Snack, cheese and olives
I think I need to get some coyo!

SayraT · 15/05/2015 21:53

nobody generally I just carry on BC with a bit of BC lite and a bit of carbyness on the rare occasion. This is the way I eat now (mostly), I just use BC to be more strict for a short time and also because I have a lot to lose. In general I lose weight when I am on BC and STS when I am inbetween times. I think that this is good practice for when I get to the weight I want to stay at.

weegierama · 15/05/2015 21:57

appetite has totally diminished last 2 days. Not flet the need to have a snack at all. v unusual. today

b. coyo yogurt. which I could not finish! v annoying given the price of it
l. was out with friends at brunchtime who all had bacon sarnies. I have the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon
d - reakky enjoyed my tea - roast veg ratatouille and haloumi

have ordered the rose Elliot low carb vegetarian as not used to eating a lot of meat and think that could force me off the wagon.

well done everyone so far. getting into the groove now

HemanOrSheRa · 15/05/2015 23:31

Not feeling very hungry today. I put this down to not eating my dinner until 12.30 am last night/this morning. I forced myself to eat something before I went to work at 1pm.

No breakfast - I went back to bed after seeing DS off to school.

L - 2 low carb sausages, a couple of slices of chicken dipped in mayo.

D - a very small portion (for me) of butter chicken and cauli rice.

S - small bag of pork scratchings and a square of 90% choc Blush. Not because I was hungry but I am tired and pissed off Sad.

2.5 l of water. Rooibos tea. No caffeine again today.

Patapouf · 15/05/2015 23:32

Where can I get my hands on some coyo?

I haven't had much of an appetite all day but suddenly had a massive sugar craving at about 3pm, so went and cleaned the kitchen & bathroom and it soon passed.

Gcalgske · 15/05/2015 23:39

claire when I'm feeling that way the best thing I find is a bone stock.
Just bung some meat on the bone (chicken drums/ wings are cheap and easy to get ready prepped at the supermarket) and bung in a pot or slow cooker with a tbsp salt and tbsp vinegar. Let it putter away over night. It's soothing and light and easy to digest. Very good for gut health too. X

Gcalgske · 16/05/2015 00:19

They have coyo in my local Tesco now, but I don't think it's great for the price tbh. It's nice, don't get me wrong, but pricey. I normally have thick canned coconut milk (69p for 400g purple/blue can 'rich and creamy' from homebargains) when dairy free (and take a probiotic vitamin) or the lidl natural Greek yoghurt (1kg bucket for £1.30) if I'm doing dairy.

nobodyknows there's usually a continuation chat thread for people who want to carry on

In praise of the cauliflower! I make cauliflower mash at every opportunity, it's a brilliant replacement for potatoes and feels carby! Cauliflower rice seems too much faff as I don't have the right blades for my food processor and can't be bothered to use a grater!

Dumdedumdedum · 16/05/2015 04:03

Obviously eating too much cauliflower - have gained half a pound since Monday. I don't get this - how come I lost 6lb overall the first fortnight I did this woe properly, and now this time, I'm actually gaining? I'm assuming I'm eating too much cheese and not enough green vegetables. I am also snacking on Parmesan crisps and hard-boiled eggs and mayo. A lot. To the extent I'm not having 3 proper meals a day. I've answered my own question, haven't I?

Ah well, off to prepare for the onslaught of the boozy masses!

lavenderhoney · 16/05/2015 07:15

Very pleased as saw some friends yesterday but didn't join in with wine etc. I asked fir sparkling water and was given lime and Soda instead " ooh, you can't just drink water" I made sure I had water next time. Didn't touch the pizza and chips on offer!:) and they were right in front of me.

B- Coffee crime
L- cauliflower leftovers with melted Brie
D- omelette 2 eggs, mushrooms, slice of bacon, coking in butter.

Lots of waterf but not enough.

ApplySomePressure · 16/05/2015 07:24

Well done for resisting the chips and pizza! I'm doing a charity day with my pupils in town today, and we happen to be positioned right outside the Starbucks....I must resist the cappuccinos and pastries.

I weighed myself this morning and I've lost 8lbs since Monday. I cannot believe it. I want to cry. How stupid! I know that people are struggling, it's not a boast, I've just never lost this amount of weight before. I can't tell anyone in RL (apart from DH) as they will try and sabotage.
I had failed at so many diets before that I honestly thought I'd be overweight forever. I thought I was a lost cause.

Dumdedumdedum · 16/05/2015 07:35

Wow, ApplySomePressure, that's so brilliant, you must be feeling great! Onwards and downwards! I'm sure this will encourage you to resist cappuccinos and pastries today!

sassandfaff · 16/05/2015 08:10

apply well done.

dum don't get disheartened over half a pound. I can go up or down that in hours.
You have to see the bigger picture. I've lost 1stone and 4lbs since jan . sometimes Ive lost 4lbs, 2lbs,1lb, sts, and gained 3lbs over the course of the last 4 and a bit months.
You have to accept that it will happen but the trend is still downwards over all. Flowers

TheHappyCamper · 16/05/2015 08:37

Morning all. Just the weekend to get through and we've all completed our first week yey! Smile. Well done Apply Star

I've been doing really well through the days then getting cravings for something, but not sure what exactly, I've been doing the kitchen prowl! Have not cheated though, so feeling quite saintly. Had lots of long hot baths instead Grin.

B: 2 pancakes with FF yog & cream
L: 4 slices pastrami, Cheddar, Wensleydale, salad and pickled shallots. I spread butter on the cheese!
D: HM Thai red curry, Konjak zero carb rice and sautéed greens.

The Konjak rice did not agree with me at all. Yuk. I had the most dreadful wind all night! I also found it had a very strange texture almost like jelly grains. I won't buy it again, just wondered what it was like really.

Dum my weight was a bit all over the place to start with too. I lost loads, then stayed the same, then put on 2lb, then lost 4 lb. Seems to be holding steady at present. Definitely don't get disheartened, just stick with it and give your body chance to get with the programme.

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 16/05/2015 08:53

Biwi, i need the stick :(

It was my mums birthday yesterday, i did so well all day (even at stay and play playgroup, where there are sweets and biscuits for the parents!), had a bc friendly dinner, and then fell face first into some cakes. I ate so many, it made me sick Envy

cathyandclaire · 16/05/2015 08:58

Dum I've been on this woe for a while and I also easily slip into missing main meals and snacking on cheese etc. I've recently been monitoring what I eat and was staggered that days when I felt I'd eaten hardly anything (missed breakfast, hunk of cheese from fridge, ham and coleslaw rolled together and eaten on the hoof, more cheese etc etc ) I'd actually eaten more carbs AND more calories ( I know we don't count those but it's interesting) than when I'd had a proper fried breakfast and big cooked meals for lunch and supper.
I think when you've LCed before, you know the sneaky tricks and snacks! For me this BC is about trying to eat proper meals.
Having said that half a pound is just a wee that hasn't happened yet Grin

CrabbyTheCrabster · 16/05/2015 09:08

Ijust be careful of McD sausages; I would imagine they're pretty carby.

Apply that is a big loss and that's great, Flowers but don't then get disheartened in coming weeks if you see little or no loss - a lot of that 8lbs will be glycogen and water (I'm assuming here that you've just started BC so forgive me if not) and your body will 'catch up' over a few weeks, gradually shedding the fat. So that 8lbs will end up being a fat loss, but it takes time for the body to adjust everything.

That doesn't really make sense, does it! It did in my head... Grin Dumde I was thinking of you with that too with your 6lb loss and then nothing. I've found in the past that the big initial loss (too much to be all fat) is followed by nothing for a while, but that it's the body readjusting itself with the water/fat balance and catches up with itself. Stunt or Sayra can probably explain the science much better than that!

Tetley sorry it's taken a while to rspond to your meal list. I see you've had a couple of good replies already though. You can't have gained 9lbs in fat in four days - it's just not possible, so I'd have thought that a lot of that must be water weight for some reason.

Your food looks fine, although that's a fair bit of processed meat. The only veg you've eaten apart from salad is half a small swede (that's not a lot to have for a main meal, btw) and aubergine. Are the salads quite large?

The only other thing I can think of... did you check the carb count on the pate (as can often contain hidden carbs) and the tomato sauce (if it was pre-prepared as they often contain sugar). Even if that's the case, a small amount shouldn't make much difference. Did you check the carbs on the coconut milk? Coconut milk is pretty carby - coconut cream is a better bet.
