Welcome everyone!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness that the lovely Sayra creates and cares for. Come and confess all.

If you prefer, you can use the individual Weight Tracker, provided by MNHQ, which will open (I hope) tomorrow morning.

Please make sure that you know the rules, and that you know about the allowed veg - look at the tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet - and think about printing them off so that you have them to hand

If you have any questions, obviously you can ask them here, but there's also a specific questions thread because the chat threads can move so quickly that questions can get missed.

Unfortunately I'm working pretty full on for the next three days, so won't be around very much - I'll try and check in as much as I can, but in reality I'm not going to be around very much until Thursday - apologies in advance.

Very good luck to you all

Am I the only one who feels empty? I think I'm eating ok ...
b: boiled egg, total yogurt, cheese
l: ham and tuna salad w/ mayo and cheese
d: lots of low carb bolognaise w/ spinach
2.5l water

It's my first time LCing and haven't dieted of any kind in years. Please tell me it gets better as I'm imagine pizza all evening :-)

Patapouf · 12/05/2015 16:58

You can make pizza LondonBetti using cauliflower crusts instead of a dough base. Maybe not in BC though, as the tomato sauce might be a bit much?

Fatstacks · 12/05/2015 17:05

It passes Betti Smile

I've been hungry today, probably because DP is at work and DS buggered off to his gf house.
Apparently her parents are much cooler than we are and don't bug him to get a job.

I've prowled the kitchen 46 times and been worrying the fridge like a naughty sheepdog Grin

So far I had.
B. Potted meat and celery.
S. Two coffee n cream
L. Two boiled eggs, polish sausage, salad and mayo.
S. Pork scratching.
S. Cheese slices.

And just put soup on for dinner.

ewanhoozami · 12/05/2015 17:07

Did you just start yesterday, Betti? It does take a couple of days for the fat satiety to kick in. Keep eating lots of butter and oil on your veg / salad - it definitely gets better. I'm always astonished at how un-hungry I am between meals after a week or so.

ItsRainingInBaltimore · 12/05/2015 17:11

I started yesterday and was very good and have been good today so far also. Filled in my spreadsheet and ready to go YAY!

TheHappyCamper · 12/05/2015 17:38

I was so impressed with my tea I had to post a photo Grin.

They were little gem lettuce, topped with chicken fahitas with peppers and a bit of onion, then cucumber, then guacamole, then sour cream, then cheese. I ate 3 and feel really full up.

cathyandclaire · 12/05/2015 17:43

I'm in full fridge worrying mode too Grin but in between I am living on the loo, so surely am whooshing away all that liquid.

B: FF Greek yoghurt coffee and LF milk
L: Bacon, scrambled eggs, fried mushrooms
S: Butterflied leg of lamb with garlic/lemon/rosemary, some Yoghurt dippy stuff on the side, asparagus and any other veg I can dig up from the withered offerings in the fridge.
S: cheese, more cheese and celery.

I managed to input my weight on my ancient IPad2 < preens >
I have just installed the lasted update so maybe that sorted the problem?

cathyandclaire · 12/05/2015 17:44

Oooh that looks delicious HappyCamper

HemanOrSheRa · 12/05/2015 17:48

It does get better Betti. It took me a while to get used to the different kind of 'full up' feeling after eating and a feeling that something was missing that I couldn't quite put my finger on!

B - bowl of ff greek yoghurt.

L - ham, mixed leaves, half tom, cue, shallot, half avocado, homemade mayo.

S - small bag pork scratchings and a few tsps of ff cottage cheese.

D - will be low carb sausages and some sort of veggie side dishes.

2l water so far and NO caffeine. I've been drinking rooibos tea (black) instead.

MsDran · 12/05/2015 17:49

Hi all, I started yesterday and so far so good. I have done LC on and off over the years, first did it around 10 years ago with great success but for the last 4 years I have been losing and gaining the same stone, I've got 5-6 stone to lose so that stone doesn't make that much of a difference. I'm definitely a grazer so am hoping bootcamp helps me overcome this, I find LC quite easy, unfortunately grazing all day means I don't lose much weight. I also don't drink nearly enough water so I'm making a real effort.
My biggest achievement since yesterday is I haven't had any sugar free fizzy drinks, I normally guzzle cans of the stuff.
I've just had dinner with the kids (mackerel and veggies) and feel really full, just need to beat the 8-10pm mindless grazing hours.

shebedee · 12/05/2015 17:52

I'm on it today good and proper..yay. It's great to read what everyone is doing and how fantastic we really are. I'm nearly through my first 2 litre bottle of water with another one and a half litres to go. I feel really sloshy (not sloshed as I was on Day 1 Blush )
I made a low carb vegetable soup for lunch but had to load it with some butter and grated cheese - the first time I missed bread.

I'm now going to cook some savoury beef mince for dinner and use my new vegetable pencil sharpener to make some courgetti.

Good luck to all

HemanOrSheRa · 12/05/2015 17:54

I really must get myself a spiralizer. I really fancy spag bol with courgetti.

LexLoofah · 12/05/2015 18:12

heman a spiralizer is on my wishlist too but for now I used a veg peeler to do long thin strips like wide thin noodles, not as much as a faff as I thought it would be and fooled the DCs into eating 'green pasta'

readyforno2 · 12/05/2015 18:15

I am stuffed! Maybe not enough fat betti
happy your fajitas look amazing! I must give that a try. Ds loves fajitas, could be an easy all rounder

Food today
B scrambled eggs
L egg fried cauliflower rice ff yog with double cream and cinnamon
D silverside beef with courgettes, shallots and mushrooms fried in coconut oil with a splash of double cream

1 x coffee with cream
1 x tea with cream

Stopped counting at 7 pints of water, I was at work and have drank a few since then too.

ewanhoozami · 12/05/2015 18:17

you can do courgetti with a julienne peeler which is less ££ (but not as much fun!)

HemanOrSheRa · 12/05/2015 18:48

Ooh thanks Lex and ewan. I will dig out my veg peeler and have a go Smile.

LexLoofah · 12/05/2015 18:50

betti you might need to up your fat i.e. add butter to your boiled egg, saute your spinach in butter, add cream to your yogurt, more cheese on your bolognese perhaps. cream in your coffee, or coconut oil in a herbal tea

There are low carb snacks you can eat if you are hungry, like pork scratchings, olives etc rather than reaching for carbs, it does pass so keep on going. I am amazed I no longer need to snack or have a second breakfast or elevenses.

tutorproof · 12/05/2015 18:53

Fuck a duck. DH made curry for tea and the paste was 18% carb!

Who knew!

He also put chick peas in it but I didn't have the heart to say anything.

No rice though.

LexLoofah · 12/05/2015 18:57

B - courgette & mushroom omelette w cream & cheese, cuppa
L - thought I would experiment with veg rather than salad which even with mayo is not quite filling enough some days so I made a broccoli salad after much googling yesterday, could only find recipes from the deep south (of the US) that had half a cup of white sugar and a cup of raisins in Confused so made up my own with a greek yog, mint, shallot, hm mayo, mint dressing and very nice and filling it was too with the rest of the chicken from last night
D - we have another house viewing tonight so going to have to be something quick after they have gone like sausages, swede mashed with butter and broccoli with more butter

revelation from last night: have finally found I like chai tea with cream unlike regular black tea which somehow goes all bitter for me so that is nice when trying to limit the milk whilst squeezing in an extra 'milky' cuppa, herbal tea is nice and all but sometimes especially in the evenings a proper tea is called for

lavenderhoney · 12/05/2015 19:41

I do cauliflower rice by just boiling it and then whilst it's still al dente I drain it and throw in some butter and mix it round back on the hob.

B- coffee with cream
L- slice of cheese as went running
D- courgettes with cheese, 3 cocktail sausages and some plain boiled cabbage

Nothing but water since the coffee, and I even managed a bit of Pilates this morning:)

A friend was coming over tomorrow but they've cancelled so I won't be tempted with wine:)

Romeyroo · 12/05/2015 19:42

Just going to log my meals

b was two hard boiled eggs and some Brie
L was smoked mackerel and cucumber and mayonnaise
D was lettuce, cucumber and two sausages with more mayonnaise

I am really busy this week so my cooking is not very adventurous. I managed to stick to two black coffees and no dark chocolate though!

LondonBetti · 12/05/2015 19:53

Thanks all, will up the fat.
It's only my second day so likely my 14st-toast-loving-never-dieted-before body is just in shock :-)

BestIsWest · 12/05/2015 19:57

Right, good day today. Managed to remember to weigh for a start. Did anyone solve the spreadsheet/iPad problem? I used to be able to update from an iPad on previous bootcamps.

glenthebattleostrich · 12/05/2015 20:17

Urgh PMT hit today, I've been chain munching. Luckily I cleared out all carby treats ao eating butter by the slice was a new experience. Ordered a boat load of posh pork scratchings today so I have crunchy snacks for when day 3 peak.

B Greek yogurt
S ham
S butter
L serano with salad
S cheese, toms and chicken
T roast beef with kale and greeeen beans in butter

Managed a short run, knackered now

Plus side, half a pound down despite period bloat.

Preminstreltension · 12/05/2015 20:18

Found you all Grin.

Have been madly busy so difficult to drink enough. I keep getting stuck on long meetings absolutely bursting for the loo so need to watch that as it's not always possible to run out mid- meeting.

Food diary is

B: ff yogurt plus cream cheese stirred in plus salt and pepper. Yum
L: work meeting with sandwiches so brought my own lunchbox - egg mayo plus ham rolls
D: ginormous amount of celeriac remoulade with smoked trout.
