Welcome everyone!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness that the lovely Sayra creates and cares for. Come and confess all.

If you prefer, you can use the individual Weight Tracker, provided by MNHQ, which will open (I hope) tomorrow morning.

Please make sure that you know the rules, and that you know about the allowed veg - look at the tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet - and think about printing them off so that you have them to hand

If you have any questions, obviously you can ask them here, but there's also a specific questions thread because the chat threads can move so quickly that questions can get missed.

Unfortunately I'm working pretty full on for the next three days, so won't be around very much - I'll try and check in as much as I can, but in reality I'm not going to be around very much until Thursday - apologies in advance.

Very good luck to you all

S- milano salami and olives

saranghae · 12/05/2015 20:23

Hello! Hope today went well.

I think I was eating too little yesterday, still trying to get my head around the amounts to use. Bought a scale this afternoon, so hopefully I can be precise about the quantities and stuff.

M0gZ - I've run out of eggs too, going to have to get some tomorrow. Only had enough for breakfast today. Wink
Stuntnun- thanks for the infomation, I'm going to stick to max 3 eggs a day. Just worried I'll end up hating them after the two weeks! GrinWink

ditavonteesed - That restaurant sounds fab! The food seems so tasty, I think if you go for the grill [yakitori androbata] you will be fine, or the teppanyaki, seafood etc. I think bulgogi meat has some syrup in the sauce or sugar, so maybe steer clear of that. Hope you enjoy your birthday!

lisbapalea - happy birthday! It's such a small world, it's my birthday tomorrow too! Been worried about starting bootcamp, as I have plans for most of the week and what to eat outside the house. One of my friends has suggested that we have a cookout at hers, so hopefully I can cook something that is still low carb and yummy for everyone. Think It's the first time I can celebrate my birthday on the actual day, looking forward to it! [grin
Hope you enjoy your day tomorrow!

MrsTatum1980 · 12/05/2015 20:30

Silly question possibly! I had homemade spag Bol (excuse the abbreviation but even with autocorrect I can't spell the Bol bit Blush) minus the spaghetti obviously and had it with grated cheese and a side of grilled courgettes and aubergine, is this ok? Felt too tasty to be allowed (ingredients were garlic, small amount of onions, mushrooms, green pepper, tomato passata and seasoning, beef mince)

ThunderbumsMum · 12/05/2015 20:30

I can't change the spreadsheet - could someone please input my starting weight for me? It's 173 Shock

Thankyou Flowers

Tetley650 · 12/05/2015 21:12

Ok so today I've managed
B - one BF sausage, 2 Rashers of streaky bacon, an egg and mushrooms in butter
L - pate and salad
D - belly pork and spinach.
3 litres of water during day. Still feeling very bloated but hope in the next few days that feeling will go.

saranghae · 12/05/2015 21:16

Done it for you ThunderbumsMum.

Forgot to mention what I ate today:
Breakfast - omelette
Lunch - tuna with brocolli and kale , and carrot and coriander soup
Dinner - spiced Aubergine, Courgette with some smoked salmon

Drunk about 3 litres of water, so difficult, think I've spent half the day in the loo. And a peppermint tea.

I think it sounds okay, MrsTatum1980 , I'll make that in the next few days. Maybe next time don't add the green pepper or the aubergine, quite carb heavy per 100g. however if you used less that then its fine I think.

PatsyNoPasta · 12/05/2015 21:20

Late to the party - I did a mighty low carb shop yesterday morning and have enough food for the week. I have worked out menus for each day.

TheCowThatLaughs · 12/05/2015 21:24

Today I had
B - 2 scrambled eggs with loads of butter, Greek yoghurt
L - salmon, hard boiled egg, avocado, cucumber and spinach salad with homemade mayonnaise (which was a bit too vinegary, but ok)
D - tomatoes, cheese, olives dresses with olive oil, Greek yoghurt and double cream
Have been drinking water and vanilla chai with coconut oil.
I keep thinking it can't be right, but I'm following the rules so it must be!
Really interesting to see what everyone's eating Smile

TheCowThatLaughs · 12/05/2015 21:26

I seem to be a pound down since yesterday too so hopefully it will continue. Could anyone please put me on the spreadsheet at 185.5?

lisbapalea · 12/05/2015 21:28

Ah, thanks saranghae - have a lovely day yourself! Dh just asked what I would like for a special birthday breakfast - he's got pain au chocolat for our dd's as they will want to make a big deal.of the birthday breakfast! I have put an order in for scrambled eggs and a coffee, so I can hopefully start the day with the best intentions!!

DramaAlpaca · 12/05/2015 21:42

Done for you TheCowThatLaughs.

I've done OK today, haven't needed to snack, drank lots of water.

So far so good.

Hi everyone,

B: smoked cheese and ham rolls
L: selection from tesco Italian meat platter, with lots of salad and a coffee
D: chicken thighx2, drumstick X11 and another huge salad
S: handful of olives and some cheese

Drunk loads of water today, which being out of practice since end of ast BC, it felt like I was in the loo every half hour or so.

BerylStreep · 12/05/2015 22:14

Hello all. Just checking in. I am dreadful at drinking enough water, so was really proud of myself to manage 2 litres yesterday. Was up in the middle of the night about 4 times weeing though. I have managed 1.6 litres today so far, and hoping to manage 1 more glass before bed.

Is there such a thing as too much water though? I was Shock at your 10 pints of water ReadyForNo2

We're away for a long weekend this week, so it will make it more challenging to stay on BC, but will do my best.

CrabbyTheCrabster · 12/05/2015 22:15

MrsT that's all fine (not sure about peppers as I don't eat them) but check the carbs on the passata and shallot is a lower carb alternative to onion. Escallion shallots (the long ones) are better value than the little ball ones, ime.

readyforno2 · 12/05/2015 23:42

I don't know Beryl. I just find when I'm at work I constantly have a pint (of water) on the go. I drink two before leaving the house in the morning.
Maybe someone in the know can answer that..

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 13/05/2015 01:35

Just flagging that I can't get to the weight tracker. The last link offered, that supposedly was working, takes me to the veg carb counter Confused. The others all went to biscuits (thanks MN! Hmm)

Beryl and readyforno - there is definitely such a thing as too much water. If you dilute your body salts too much, you can develop hyponatraemia (too little sodium) which can kill you in extremes. 26 pts water will almost certainly kill you because of this. Have a read of this www.patient.co.uk/doctor/Hyponatremia.htm.
I don't know how much water will put you into mild hyponatraemia, and obviously if you're eating lots of salty stuff as well then the risk is lower - but 10 pts sounds a bit high on a general basis. That's 5.7 L water!
Now, if you're on the much heavier side, that might be ok given that the amount of water we're supposed to drink is weight related - but for goodness' sake make sure that you have enough salt in your diet as well. Read the link, especially the symptoms - if any of those apply then increase your salt intake or reduce your water to an appropriate-for-your-weight level.

I've just had fried halloumi for breakfast. Lost 1/3 of it to the grasping toddler though Hmm (he has good taste! Wink)

Seri77 · 13/05/2015 06:09

Thumbwitch it does take you to veg counter. Just above the veg counter it says join this bootcamp, click on that and it lets you put your starting weight in.

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 13/05/2015 07:05

ah thanks Seri :)

ditavonteesed · 13/05/2015 07:14

Does nayone else need less sleep, its odd I normally go to bed at 10 (sometimes 9.30 Blush) and get up at 7 or earlier but only with an alarm. Since last week I have been going to bed at 11 - 11.30 and waking up at 6-6.30 wide awake and not tired. I also havent been tired in the day.

I can acheive so much more with this extra 2 and a half hours a day its fantastic. It is actually making me wonder if I am gluten intolerant.

Dumdedumdedum · 13/05/2015 07:38

dita I'm the opposite, I am feeling even more tired than usual and dragging myself around. By the end of the day, and sometimes earlier, I have a stonking headache. I am drinking at least 3 litres of water a day, plus several cups of black coffee and tea. I always thought I might be gluten intolerant, too.. Perhaps not?

shebedee · 13/05/2015 07:39

Dita- I think this is happening to me too. I woke up at 5.30 this morning also feeling full of beans (well not literally as not allowed on BC). I've just managed 2 hours uninterrupted work while the rest of the house sleeps on. Need breakfast now though - a slab of halloumi beckons.

cathyandclaire · 13/05/2015 07:47

2lbs of post-weekend-Chinese-takeaway bloat wooshed away overnight Grin
Looking in the mirror I think my 'carb-face' eye bags have gone down a little.

Definitely not feeling the Dita energy burst though, am hunched over a coffee and a bottle of water trying to drag my lazy butt out to walk the dogs.

B: Fried mushrooms and eggs.
L: Left over lamb salad
S: Left over asparagus in a frittata

DarkEvilMoon · 13/05/2015 08:00

Dumdedum - i have downregulated the amount of coffee I drink as the normal amount i was drinking was making me feel dreadful. These days more than 2 cups = feeling shocking, but 1-2 cups I have more engery. Although when I have been a carby twat I do tend to suffer carb flu which does make me feel utterly exhausted for a few days. Does wear off though. May I suggest an oxo cube, does wonders if you are feeling a bit shakey and off.

Lost count of how much coffee I drank yesterday but it was enough that I still have caffeine in my veins today Hmm and I feel utterly exhausted and unrested today. Thankfully once ds is safely delivered to school my day is my own. and i might just go back to bed and sleep

lavenderhoney · 13/05/2015 08:00

I just feel really tired all the time, and heavy ( must be all that water:)

And I have been a bit irritable - i can't work out if it's period related because they stopped from stress a while ago and haven't come back yet.
