Week 9 - Low Carb Bootcamp - The End is Nigh!

Morning all!

Here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

And don't forget the Weight Tracker

As we get to the end of this Bootcamp, I'd like you all to think about how MNHQ can make our space even better for the next time around.

The original plan was to move to the Weight Tracker and drop the Spreadsheet, which would mean Willie wouldn't have to tend it all the time - but we seem to have kept it going for this Bootcamp. If we were to lose it next time, what do you think you would miss the most?

For me, I think definitely the information in the tabs needs to be transferred over somehow - but is there anything else you'd like to see?

Anyway, a busy week for me as I'm off to Lille Tuesday/Wednesday, up at 5.00 am tomorrow and not getting back home till around 10.00 pm on Wednesday. All I will see will the inside of a taxi, a French supermarket, an office block and another taxi - no time even to go out for dinner on Tuesday night!

And I have no idea what's going to happen on the food front as it's all out of my control But then, that's what this WOE is all about - making the best choices we can at the time.

So - good luck to you all, hope that the fine weather helps you have a great week Flowers

They stock those Atkins bars in most of the supermarkets, and Boots I think. I'm going to start buying them when I'm on BCL. The chocolate brownie one looks nice.

GatoradeMeBitch · 16/03/2014 16:21

Oh, and also at Superdrug, Ocado, Amazon, etc! I'd better stop looking now...

Thumbwitch · 16/03/2014 16:30

Trashy, you know only a pic of the fabric will suffice, don't you? We need to see it to be able to judge assess properly Grin

Hurrah that your DS is still going - is he still playing the piano?

EverythingIsAwesome · 16/03/2014 16:58

Be careful with those Atkins bars, they can stall your weightloss.

Piscivorus · 16/03/2014 17:30

Hmm trashy now I'm really intrigued! I am not terribly creative or individual in my style so I'm always really interested in seeing other people's

I have had Atkins bars before and they do fill a gap sometimes but they are not terribly nice and they leave the door ajar to the bad habit of eating chocolate bars

MrsHerculePoirot · 16/03/2014 17:37

trash those colours sound just perfect for you! Can't wait to see finished article.

I use the Atkins bars on occasion and find they are enough at certain times to satisfy the sweet craving without sending me down the fuckit route. Obvs processed and rubbish, but for me better than proper chocolate or any other carby twatishness that I would have.

I soooooo can't wait to get back to low carbing - 6 weeks or so to go. I have cut right back on the carbs as the novelty is well and truly wearing off now...

EverythingIsAwesome · 16/03/2014 17:58

Dinner of garlic butter prawns and stir fried courgetti & chesnut mushrooms, with a sprinkling of parmesan

I have bloody sunburn! In March! DH and I walked 7 miles around the coast today, with very nice pub lunch - enormous cheeseburger sans bun with salad. Did succumb to half a pint of the local beer but lots of water and I reckon I walked it off... Chilli for dinner Chez Heir. I know I have had too much dark choc and wine this weekend so not expecting a loss, but keeping on keeping on.

DurhamDurham · 16/03/2014 18:51

TrashCan I probably walked past your place today. Quayside was as lovely as ever, v jealous that you get to see those views everyday. Had my enormous sausage from the first stall, the wooden one, not sure of the name. I asked for it without the bun and the woman behind the counter said she had more and more people asking for it that way, I think low carbing may be on the rise Smile

So not looking forward to weigh in tomorrow, I may get my mum to write out a sick note to hand -in instead GrinGrin

WhooshFuckerFairy · 16/03/2014 20:01

trashy - fantastic ! Really jealous - have shoved phone under DH's nose and demanded asked politely if we could do similar ! Your colours sound madness :-)) ( says a women with every shade of white in the walls !) )but I think they will be fun and alive !
Good luck all - I am registering a STS for tomorrow and practising 'scale avoidance '

Loads of posts to catch up on!

Gatorade thank you, I will have a look. Will keep it in mind if I ever get stuck at a certain weight, which always seems to happen to me!

My parents visited today so we went in to town shopping. So pleased with myself as DP bought caramel digestives to have with a brew when they arrived and I resisted even though I was dead hungry. Then I had a shredded chicken salad at a Vietnamese place in town with a diet coke (horrible sweetener I know, but they had ran out of bottles of water and I was so thirsty!). It was delicious, lots of different shredded cabbagey stuff, bean sprouts, garlic, chicken and a ginger vinegar dressing. And just had grilled chicken with salad for tea as I am too tired to cook anything exciting. Usually I would cave and have something super carby if we go out, so I'm really happy with my willpower! Had a sneaky jump on the scales and I've lost 3lb so far but official weigh in isn't until Wednesday so fingers crossed for more. I'm now officially in the 14st range, yippee Grin

FelixFelix · 16/03/2014 21:15

Trash I love love loooove overlockers. They are so satisfying! Enjoy Grin

NeverEndingLaundry · 16/03/2014 21:23

I made the flaxseed pizza and it was awesome. How much of it (veg and feta topping) would one greedy woman normally be expected to eat?

monkeyfacegrace · 16/03/2014 21:36

I eat the lot neverending.

I stuff my face with the whole, gorgeous, stodgy, thing. Mmmm.

Piscivorus · 16/03/2014 22:37

We had a dinnertime disaster which will be glossed over and never spoken of again. I had bought a chicken from Sainsburys to roast for tea, opened it and, oh my goodness, the smell! Envy Consequently we had nothing in for tea and the shops were shut so it is all Sainsbo's fault that I am a carby twat! Angry

Thumbwitch · 16/03/2014 22:48

oh no Pisci! I hope you're going to take it back and get your money back, especially if it's in date. THrusting it under the nose of whoever is on Customer Service usually does the job, I find! Grin

I quite fancy the flaxseed pizza - must organise myself to make it. Along with the lamb meatballs that I've been meaning to do for a few days now.

Well done on the restraint front, Felix!

Pity that the Atkins bars are unpleasant, and yes I wouldn't advocate using them as a daily chocolate bar replacement - I'm lucky that the one I can get is actually quite nice (the other flavours really aren't though, only the choc mint crisp) - but it's also lower carb than Atkins. I haven't found they stall me but then neither does dairy. If that Atkins bars have a lot of whey powder in them, that might be why?

Piscivorus · 16/03/2014 23:41

It stank to high heaven thumb so I have taken the label off and will just take that back. It is currently sealed inside plastic bags in the outside bin and it is not coming in my car!

Thumbwitch · 17/03/2014 00:06

Grin - I can understand that, Pisci!

BIWI · 17/03/2014 07:13

Week 10 chat thread here

Yes, I know it says week 1, but I've got a sticky '0' key Grin
