WOW! bloody hell how did we rack up to page 22?

Monty100 · 01/06/2010 18:35

Hi there, I was just catching up and it said full! lol. We do witter a lot on here.

Well, there certainly seems to be some successes on there lately.

Kdk - that is strange about the phone number. Did you give it? Hope you've recovered from your trip to the dentist.

So, that's Juice, Betty and Belle hooked up?? Am I right?

My jobs at home have been messed up with the weather, I've taken about 6 bags of clothes to the charity shop. I had been thinking of car booting them but I've just got too much to do really. Yesterday I gardened all day and DP was painting outside the back and couldn't get it finished today grrr. So he went to work!

We are hoping to get away for a couple of days later in the week but have to be back for a wedding (evening do) on Saturday.

kdk · 01/06/2010 19:13

@ Monty - no, not given my number (yet) - not sure I will. TBH, feeling so crap at moment it's the last thing on my mind!

Monty100 · 01/06/2010 19:15

ASBM - well you know how it is when you build up a thirst lol. Hope you had a good weekend.

Remotew · 01/06/2010 19:35

Just waving and marking my place.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 01/06/2010 19:44

mont it was lovely
need a proper catch-up..just off to dish up to the zoo!!

lou33 · 01/06/2010 20:34

pirate, keep us updated please

scl, i just used up any leftovers i had for the pie, so quickly cooked some onion asparagus and mushrooms together, added gravy, then the leftover chicken and left it to cool

rolled out the base, added the cold filling, put the crust on and glazed it with milk, bunged in the oven for about 35 mins on 200

pic on fb

i got a bit carried away with the leftover pastry to decorate it

sincitylover · 01/06/2010 20:39

sounds yummy

yes the weather is a bummer - it's still raining here and haven't been out all day

hatesponge · 01/06/2010 20:44

hello all....has taken me about half an hour to catch up, then realised had to find you on another thread

brill news re betty, belle and juice

kdk - I'd be a bit about giving him my number as well. sounds like a bit of a thin excuse on his part. All the online guys I've got to the phone no stage with (admittedly not many) have been v forthcoming with their numbers, seems odd he is reluctant. think you have to go with your instinct on these things.

pirate re your DD. hope the hospital manage to sort it out for her.

lou - chicken pie sounds lovely, might even overcome my aversion to pastry making to attempt it (or else buy the ready made pastry....or is that cheating?!)

Not much to report here. Ex still behaving like a total tosser (nothing new in that!) as those on my FB will have seen. But onwards etc, have worked out the (legal) way forward, and at the end of the day nothing he ever does will be worse than being in a relationship with him was!

Nothing much happening men-wise although frankly with the Ex's shenanigans I can't cope with the 'will he/won't he call' angst when you first meet someone! Invited to a wedding next weekend, plus one....that'll be me going on my own then

lou33 · 01/06/2010 20:56

no , pastry making is too much of a time consuming faff, buy it in

Monty100 · 01/06/2010 20:59

Hi Sponge - yup saw his shenanigans on fb grr. Hope you're ok.
I have frozen pastry in my freezer lol.
SCL - nuisance time off being rained off eh.

Tonight I cooked chicken thighs with garlic and herbs and home made wedges with salad and coleslaw, not particularly inspired but dead easy lol.

sounds nice

i feel as stuffed as the xmas turkey

kdk · 01/06/2010 21:31

I am stuffed with sushi as feeling to horrible to cook - and am having a large glass of wine - for purely medicinial reasons, you understand

Monty100 · 01/06/2010 21:35

Lou - lol, chink.

Kdk - Dentist must have been bad

OP posts:
MrsMorgan · 02/06/2010 10:02

Thanks for welcoming me back.

Not sure where to start lol. After 4 yrs of no interest at all, I am finally getting interest but not from the right people.

Petty ashamed to say that I have ended up having a fling (not sure you can even call it that) with a bloke I used to work with, who has a gf.

Anyway, he is now pretty much ignoring me, which was expected, but hurtful all the same, and I now have someone else interested, who is single but I am just nost sure about them. They are an old school friend, but I just get the feeling that they are interested because no one else is.

I feel like I am making a right mess of things at the mo.

lou33 · 02/06/2010 10:18

it could be you projecting how you feel onto him?

MrsMorgan · 02/06/2010 10:40

Sorry was that reply to me Lou ??

Do you mean thats what I think of him, but I think he thinks it about me ?? lol

I don't know. He has over 1000 people on his fb friends list, the majority of which are women. I was talking to him on there a couple of weeks ago and I asked him what his type was (knowing full well it is blondes from his pics).
He said 'well it was blondes, but now it is brunettes'.

It just made me think, that he is desperate lol.

He was a nice lad when we were at school, and we kind of nearly had a thing when I was about 17 but I backed off cos I was going through a bit of a rough patch at home and couldn't be arsed tbh.

I just feel like I don't know my own mind at the moment. I mean sleeping with someone elses bf is just not something the normal me would do, and yet I did

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 02/06/2010 11:34

mrsm - i have to be honest. i find fellas with fb profiles like that a huge red flag... several reasons

a) no RL if you have time to hook up with that many friends
b) crap in RL at creating relationships and does most of his connecting by networking events or online (slint hint of aspergers type personality traits too???)
c)he's been using online dating for a loooooong time. and the ones who have tend to not be interested in coming off the sites to be committed.
d)why does he have no male friends on it? does he have a seperate real fb page with proper friends and family... and this fb you have is his fb dating decoy (there may possibly even be a gf/dw being hidden)

lou - pie looked great.

i make my pastry. on the odd occasion i buy it in for quickness... always make sure you roll it out thinner than the pre-rolled stuff as it never cooks properly when just rolled and used the thickness it comes pre-rolled.

my idea of a wild night would scare the living daylights out of them i think!

Remotew · 02/06/2010 12:12

Juice, I think I would be nervous meeting his friends on a formal level rather than bumping into them. I bet they will be lovely. lol at you thinking they are tame compared to you, you might be surprised, but then again I don't know fully what you really get up to on a wild night. If you are anything like me I couldn't mention everything on here.

MrsM I wouldn't want anything to do with a guy who mainly has loads, 1,000 is a lot, female fb friends. He might be the type who scrutinises fb profile pics and requests women he doesn't know because he wants to look like he knows good looking women. IYSWIM. I've had a couple of requests like this and have asked why they want me as a friend to be told. I like the look of you.

Don't tempt me with pies. I'm trying not to put weight on now that I'm not smoking. Going for a 3 course meal tonight and looking forward to a pig out! I deserve it.

Remotew · 02/06/2010 12:14

Just re-read that and it sounds like I think I'm good looking, rofl. I don't, but a couple of strange guys did think so from my photo.

clarabella23 · 02/06/2010 13:46

Get away Eve, bet your bloody gorgeous!

Think I would back away from the fb man too, MrsM, or at least just use it as an ego boost rather than think it could be anything serious, and if anything more comes of it its all good!

Lou...ditto with the pies!I'm having a baking/cleaning/dancing around the kitchen day today...so far we have steak and potato pie, some gorgeous smelling "summer rolls" off good food-like sausage rolls but with cchicken and bacon instead-, mini cornish pasties, cookies and muffins. Gonna be stuffed today! And all done with shopbought pastry!

Having a bit of an eventful morning though...I have found (on facebook!) and got in touch with the exes ex, who he had a son with, who he hasnt kept in contact with. So hopefully, my daughter may get to know her half-brother...not mentioning anything to her yet, obv, but good to know hes ok and doing well.
