toomanydates, Hiya. oh yes those days. meet snog and voila they are your boyfrined!!!!

bloody shattered today we only got up about 1/2 hour ago. thanks for all your well wishes.

lou you do make me laugh, re dinner burning.

monty, if god isnt listening then i am totally buggered'.

!

Betty79 · 06/05/2010 12:35

Toomanydates-I'd go out with him again and then post a comment on his fb about having a good night lol nah i wouldnt really but would be funny! I'd do what eve says, keep looking yourself on the dating site. I was a bit like that with the 1st person i met and liked off a dating site, it def is a different ball game to meeting someone in a pub etc

Eve-God didnt realise he had dmaged stuff as well, the little shite!! glad you are feeling ok tho after your op, dont feel guitly taking time off you sound like you need it even if you do feel ok today!

mrsmharket · 06/05/2010 12:36

hi everyone
welcome dates

lou - 'bunch of grapes' she was actually quite a nice woman so not sure she would've appreciated that

juice - lol at motorola - id he tryign to make you jealous???seems rather petty
thanks for explaining bfs tho i'm not sure i believ yout about your views on webcams being strictly for talkning

ninah - thnaks am kicking at school now too again

eve - am so sorry sweetheart glad he's out of your hair now though. glad little pc not infected adn hope you feel better soon

belle - planner sounds likehe's leaving his options open!

raven - omg at attitude of doing what a man tells you, no thank you

i love a uniform and bikers hmmph. sometimes it's just such ashame about the man inside the uniform or bike kit

lou33 · 06/05/2010 12:59

hello toomany

i wouldnt do anything for now, like you said its only been two dates and you havent had any kind of talk about you being an exclusive couple

i so would post on his fb after the next date saying thanks for a time

eve i didnt know he had trashed stuff

what a little shit

i have voted as well, though dd1 couldnt as they told me they didnt get my form returned with her details on, so she isnt on the elctoral register

mrsmharket · 06/05/2010 14:00

eh? the details would've been on same form surely?

mrsmharket · 06/05/2010 14:08
DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 06/05/2010 14:13

i didn't vote. ds school is my local polling. but for some reason i haven't received a card thingy. i'm on the electoral role though.. if i just turn up do you think i will be able to vote?

eve- little turd of a boy/man

betty - get something preprepared to bung in oven while you are in shower. m&s work wonders if you are really stuck.

i'm sure asbm will be along shortly to insit on lasagne. it's her recipe to success in getting a guy to fall for you

mrsm - yup.. i thought about that possiblity of jealousy. wouldn't put it past him. he's been told to well and truly fuck off now. and that he's borderline stalker. and i will contact him when i'm free to swap stuff. and if he doesn't back off i will change phone number.

toomany - yup. gone are the days of a snog and your dating . i wouldn't post on his fb. but if he delets then i would be wary tbh.. btw.. have you considered it wasn't a date. and just a friend or relative? i post to male friend and them to me along lines of "cor, my hangover is awful. hope you got home alive and well, great night though"

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 06/05/2010 14:14

mrsm - are you on fb. come online. i will help with a name. i like the name game

lou33 · 06/05/2010 14:27

juice if you are on the electoral roll you dont need the card, you can just turn up at the designated polling station and give them your details

and as for me and dd being on the same form , yes, but they said they checked to see if i was still on the electoral roll when they didnt get the form, hence why i got a card and she didnt

Remotew · 06/05/2010 14:57

I've just voted without a poll card, no problem.

toomanydates · 06/05/2010 14:59

i wouldnt post on his face book page. i know he is quite fussy about what goes on it, and ive seen peoples comments be deleted ( males and females)

i am just assuming it was a date, but i think its a fair assumption.

have decided ill just see how it pans out.

Monty100 · 06/05/2010 15:23

Toomany - it could have been his little sister - seriously though.

Juice - get down that polling station. Good for you seeing stalker Motorola off.

MrsM - I want a new name too .

Am voting on way home from work and will probably go for the traditional pint in the local pub after .

I feel like I'm waiting for a job interview or something with this election, it's so not clear what's going to happen.

OP posts:
sincitylover · 06/05/2010 15:42

hello all - just off to another work thingie will be soooo relieved when I can slip away at just after 6pm and get home.

I have voted first thing this morning and will be eagerly waiting to see what we wake up to tomorrow.

On another more depressing note getting plenty of emails on sites but most resemble gargoyles .

And very horrible listening to a feature last night on our local radio station about one night stands - mostly guys ringing in saying, I blame the women, if women put it on a plate, someone I sleep with on first , some women are right mooses and women should hav more self respect whilst freely admitting that they would put it about quite freely. I had sorta hoped we had all moved on from that. In fact I think we may have gone backwards

I did text in to the show so incensed I was saying didn't those men think that their attitude would be off putting to women. And today have sent my angry email to the presenters asking them why they didn't challenge their comments.!! The balance of the show was all wrong.

More worrying is that I think attitudes like that lead to violence against women and incite hatred of women.

OK I will get off my soapbox. Jeez if that sort of thing offends me what must it do to someone who is more prudish and not so liberal.

sincitylover · 06/05/2010 15:43

sorry some got cut out then - someone I sleep with on a first date is not girlfriend/wife material

Remotew · 06/05/2010 15:52

SCL, double standards are alive and well today and won't change. Glad you challenged it.

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 06/05/2010 15:55

scl - thing is... yes.. it is backwards.. but at same time...i'm not sure i would have a ltr with a guy i had met that same day.

say for example.. someone i met in a club that evening.

ok.. so truth is that scenario wouldn't occur and it would be highly hypocrytical as i had had sex too (well he didn't do it by himself did he )

you know me. i'm certainly a bit loose in some aspect .and i have a whole range of expectption that allow me to excuse myself from the first date rule

my issue is.......... guys who sleep with someone they have met while drunk, in pub/club, then go home and have sex.

a guy who can do that is not for me.

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 06/05/2010 15:57

what i'm trying to say is there should have perhaps been some females on saying they wouldn't think of guys as boy/husband material if they do that

thesouthsbelle · 06/05/2010 17:42

hi all, just place marking until tonight after fat club booo! lol. have voted thou nearly did inemeany. anyhow did it then immediately thought what the hell did I do that for but if I had of tossed a coin i've have been the same.

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 06/05/2010 21:47

did that sound wake you all?

where is everyone?

thesouthsbelle · 06/05/2010 21:53

I'm here and depressed. bloody fat club - who wants to be a skinny mini anyhow - think i'll just have to get marine to give me some extra 1 2 1 ass kicking sessions lol.

also deciding if I should send DS into nursery tomorrow or not (see thread in chat)

off to catch up.

Monty100 · 06/05/2010 22:06

I'm here, trying not to get myself in a frenzy.

I am hiding behind the sofa and avoiding ALL election coverage. Going to bed soon, have already arranged with dp to get ds up for school at 6.30 as I'm going to have the radio on all night. But I'll turn it off as soon as the end result in inevitable.

OP posts:
hatesponge · 06/05/2010 22:07

quiet here tonight....assume everyone is off voting

trying to catch up - apologies for anyone I miss, and to all

eve - cant believe that little shit after all the help you gave him hope he is definitely gone for good now. And that you are feeling ok after all that, and op & everything.

juice- hopefully you've heard the last of motorola for a bit! any news on forces, or is he still out on exercises? (or whatever it's called...manouevres? am not good with army terminology!) have you decided about going over there yet?

scl - I would have been mad about that radio show as well, amazes me how many men are still so judgmental about women!

what news here, ex still keeping a low profile (good) but still in the house (bad). Men wise, nothing from wedding man since he cancelled date saying DC were ill, he needed a bit of time etc. Funny that, cos have been on match tonight and he's online. So looks like I was right about him and it was just an excuse. Not impressed with someone who would either lie about DC being ill, or hide behind it. So that's him deleted.

Am minded to give up the whole thing really. Just can't be bothered in fighting what seems like a losing battle. Am resigned to staying single, seeing work guy yesterday (who's interested enough to come and sit with my team all day - when there were plenty of other spare seats in the office - but apparently not enough to actually do anything beyond admire me from afar) has just reaffirmed to me that I'm just meant to be on my own.

Will still lurk on the thread though - if that's ok with you all . Am considering a name change to MissHavisham (for which read the eternal spinster...)

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 06/05/2010 22:16

sponge - i like the new name idea. lol.

wedding man.... .. odd he's got time to be online but needs space away to sort life/dc,etc.

arse , honesty is free

motorola seems to be in hiding after his warning.

forces. nope. still not heard yet. due back today at earliest. but could be anytime this wkd before he gets back and gets to his phone.

hatesponge · 06/05/2010 22:24

juice - my feeling exactly re wedding man...and am liking honesty is free! so true

Would have been better if he had just said he was busy (has own business so I would have expected that) but bringing DC into it...think am well rid.

oh, and just found out Ex voted BNP. FFS

Betty79 · 06/05/2010 22:27

I'm here too, trying not to get worked up by the elections..... although am actaully watching it for the first time in history!! Dont think I'll be waiting up to see results tho!

sponge-grr to wedding man, but his loss! Please dont change ur name to misshavisham just yet lol

monty-i think the riots have started here lol (car alarm just gone off)!

belle-does marine do private lessons lol

juice-dont creek the door please u woke me up!!
