Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
aseriouslyblondemoment · 26/05/2010 20:45

oh hell yes lou am reminded now of that weirdo who pestered you...thesp and blackberry who was the bane of my life too
{shuddering emoticon}

piratecat · 26/05/2010 20:48

kdk, sorry about michiganmentalist.

i had a message today on smooch

'hi, you're looking for a serious relationship, whats the matter with all you women why can't you just go for a drink first? Do you want to go for a drink with me?' !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

rofl, yes i often just have serious srelationships with people i haven't actually met before. I just move them in immediately, cut out the middle man.

piratecat · 26/05/2010 20:49

oh they are my exclamation marks btw

SingleMum01 · 26/05/2010 20:56

Betty - yes, about 15 messages so far today

KDK - did you send that message to the one on Match? Have you heard anything, he sounded keen? My subscription runs out tomorrow so if you want any more you better hurry!

Betty79 · 26/05/2010 21:03

sm-oh well relax then!! try to stop checking pof if you can! I know how hard it is, cos I've done it before. I'm just glad this time round I didnt meet boilerman on there lol

pc-what an idiot, actually we women expect you to commit to a serious relationship before we've even met

kdk · 26/05/2010 21:13

actually I prefer to cut out all the middle stuff and just go straight for marriage - I mean, why bother waiting. If you like the look of each other and have exchanged at least one message each, that's enough to decide to spend your lives together ... isn't it? Don't tell me I've got it wrong again ...

Betty79 · 26/05/2010 21:20

yeah we've all got a wedding dress in the wardrobe.....just incase....dont we? Or am I getting it wrong too...

kdk · 26/05/2010 21:30

I just wear my wedding dress under my normal clothes just in case - especially on what is supposed to be a first date - better to be prepared I always find. Some women carry condoms, I carry a veil ... and confetti.

Betty79 · 26/05/2010 21:34

I cant fit mine under my normal clothes cos I have one of those big hooped ones with a long train and I've tried to but I keep tripping over it!

kdk · 26/05/2010 21:40

Just buy a very large tent dress to wear over the top ... works for me

aseriouslyblondemoment · 26/05/2010 21:40

pmsl @ kdk
and wtf @ this biblebasher?!

kdk · 26/05/2010 21:47

just your usual random nutter - and he doesn't even seem too sure about where he is .... profile says south ockendon (???), but he says he's from blahblah, michigan ... and is currently in west africa selling computers. Man's a fruitcake ... and has sent me the same message at least twice now ...

kdk · 26/05/2010 21:52

@ betty this or this should do the trick

Betty79 · 26/05/2010 22:02

kdk rofl I think I prefer the colours of the second one!!

aseriouslyblondemoment · 26/05/2010 22:04

jesus haven't they got a block facility on match?!
they charge enough for membership!
my block list on frd was pages and pages long lol

kdk · 26/05/2010 22:08

It's not on match - on dating for parents - have to say it tends to be nutter city on there - at least is for me anyway.

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 26/05/2010 22:14

here's what i have gathered.. or i am up to date with

mrsM - has a neighbour who's only interested when she has knee high boots on, so she's kicked it to the kerb

elasta - (this one i'm bit fuzzy on) - has an fella who travels alot who she gets on very well with(dont think he has a nickname yet) but finds it impossible to meet with as she is also a very busy lady. i think if i remember correctly she also has other men she's been on dates with but nothing thats really putting a spring in her step.

betty - has been measuring up the windows for curtains to match the "marital sofa"

monty has a partner who makes her a bit .

but monty can be found on the marital sofa (no one is married on the marital sofa. but they have found a partner they are keeping long-term and has classed as dp) alongside asbm (dp to the lovely action man) and lou (dp to the mechnic)

mechanic remind me of that builder bloke who won BB and gave the money to help a sick relative.

belle - has met a few times with a lovely soldier. who i think would like to be serious, but belle is doing

pmg - is also on the marital sofa.. alongside marathon man... aka johnny depp [slevering emoticon]

kdk - has just climbed down from the shelf and just started messaging a greek fella who needs a nickname. kdk gets all the emails from complete loons mostly.

followed closely by

hatesponge - who.... i'm not sure.. but is up on the shelf trying to think of how to drop heavy objects on exh while making it look like an accident so is far to pre-occupied to date

pirate cat - is a magnet from married men who persue her by running out shops after her to retreive a phone number .

sm - is dating mr blue. she's finding the contact of a bloke in queens services to be very confusing. its very full on when they are on leave. then dwindles to a single message a day (if she is lucky).. but that is the nature of it. she is also sticking her head in sand and hasn't discussed the fact that she doesn't want to ask him to come off pof..... but.... she obviously hasn't read what happed to me recently with mr rochester to work out that pof sometimes lies when not logged in to make it look like its busier.... so please... step away from the search facility and just ask him outright!!!

ninah - .... oi.. you haven't updated us recently is exbf still coming to do your diy.. and are you ever going to give the thai farmer a date (thai farmer is a local friend's friend who keeps sending photo's of himself asking for a date which she is ignoring as she did arrange a date a long time ago and he developed BFS(broken finger syndrome - not responding to calls/texts))

is that everyone??

me - i have recently finished with commitment phobic bloke nicknamed forces. were still going to meet as friends. but after he tried to overstep boundary in his convo's we had a falling out and i'm not talking to.

have been seeing the lovely mr rochester since last wkd. he is very good at suprises. did i mention i found a stuffed toy hidden in my house other day after he had left?

you may also hear me talk of irish.. who would be all round ideal.. except he's a raging alcoholic, who is completely unreliable .

as for wedding dress... i keep mine in the boot of my car beside the "shag bag".

bet i've missed loads the time it took me to type that up

aseriouslyblondemoment · 26/05/2010 22:17

has anyone actually had any joy on that site?
i never used it but a RL friend did and the fella she met off there was well odd!
the fact that you haven't got a block facility is awful imho as how do you stop undesirables from sending you awful messages?
and as much as we know how remarkably well you take all these weirdos kdk and laugh at them surely it must reach the point where you can't take it anymore?
only asking as i think all of us have at some point become so bloody sick of the whole thing!

kdk · 26/05/2010 22:18

I bow to your amazing summing-up skills juice ... and sadly true that for some reason I do seem to get my own and everyone else's share of loonytunes - though if anyone would like one (or two) just give us a shout and I'll point them in your direction!

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 26/05/2010 22:20

kdk - no thank you... i get all the loons in RL.. more than enough to make up my quota.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 26/05/2010 22:21

know that eve, pmg and scl are nodding in agreement with me!!

Betty79 · 26/05/2010 22:23

haha can always count on juice for a good round up

kdk · 26/05/2010 22:24

I do get there asbm - and that's when I tend to drop off the sites for a while to recuperate/get over myself - I can get very incensed that these guys even think I'd respond to their messages let alone go on a date with them - but have to say they can be same in real life - to wit my experience of speed dating last week.

Think I may well be close to taking a break from it all for a while - will see what transpires with sculptor (zorba the greek? wil that do juice?) and glint should he bother responding ... but feel I'm getting a bit too despondent/cynical and jaded ... but hey ho, will undoubtedly be back as not quite willing to accept lifelong celibacy yet!

aseriouslyblondemoment · 26/05/2010 22:25

yeah kdk juice had the thumb sucker!!

kdk · 26/05/2010 22:26

Had forgotten about him!
