pmg
how do you get on with the dcs/gcs?
sponge lovely comment from ds and let's face it they say it how it is
not fully up to date with thread atm but am so relieved to hear that he's finally done one as i was once in your shoes
be good to yourself and it will take time with your boys but you'll get there.. as lou, mont and scl will vouch it doesn't take long for them to realise that it's not you but him..still v hard on kids tho as it's divided loyalties etc..but to quote my ds1
' yeah,i know but he's my dad'
speaks volumes i think!!
monty thanks
as you know i rarely bite but i didn't appreciate someone directing comments at one particular poster it came across as wrong, and in the wake of that tirade of abuse that lou had last year(which i'd missed as not been on thread)i couldn't help but post!
let's face it there's always the chance that some disgruntled cowardly person in RL might work out who in fact we all are(as in lou's case) and snipe on here
if these comments had been made in a general sense i wouldn't have minded
let's face it altho we're a tight knit bunch on here we always welcome genuine newbies and we don't bitch and snipe and sneer like alot of the other MN threads

aseriouslyblondemoment · 18/05/2010 22:47

hi juice!
hope you're ok,must have proper rattle soon..long overdue

lou33 · 18/05/2010 22:53

what asbm is saying, is never EVER cross her

Monty100 · 18/05/2010 22:54

ASBM - I have a little theory on it. I think also the poster thought I was the perpetrator of the thread, I didn't take it too personally tbh. But you are right, you never know do you? I agree the manner of posting was out of order.

Sponge - onwards and upwards. Party? . That was so lovely what your ds said, and it's true!

Lou - I cooked 3 meals tonight. A roast, a rice dish and chilli for tomorrow night which I'm going to bake with pasta. Haven't done your thai one yet but I will.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 18/05/2010 23:17

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 18/05/2010 23:24

monty - i'm not up to anything honest .

Monty100 · 18/05/2010 23:37

Juice - lolol, you little minx.

ASBM - it saves slaving over the oven for a couple of days, that lot might see me into Curry night lol.

OP posts:
aseriouslyblondemoment · 19/05/2010 00:09

thank god for our slow cookers!!
ohh i love mine

on another food as such note aren't sainsbo's latest vino deals crap?
what's going on?

Monty100 · 19/05/2010 00:40

ASBM - I still have a bottle of it! I haven't looked lately, I've decided I can't drink wine, it makes my head hurt the next day. Well Rose certainly does. But then I probably overdo it when I drink it lol.

Have been on the property threads. Blimey, property porn over there......

mumtobonnyweeprince · 19/05/2010 01:10

especially where i live anyway

ninah · 19/05/2010 07:38

Juicy. ?????!
off to check out cognac blokey ....
all fine here thanks monty bit shattered counting down to half term
so are the children I think - yesterday one change of pants (right up back) two bumped noses, one wailing like a banshee, about twenty wanting cardboard headbands at high speed, plus all the usual - and that was just the pm!
it's like being at home lol

thesouthsbelle · 19/05/2010 08:21

blondie - this is a girls having a natter with dates thrown in thread so share the deals! damn good to see ya back as well girl

monty - take no notice of the poster - tbh as if any of us here would rather find a man and be kept from his money - think we've all been thru too much with ex's to give up our independence like that. oh and when are we all coming to yours for dinner then?!? lol.

kdk - are you still with us or have a run off to gretna green yet?!? what a catch that man was lol. and masters - erm in what bad grammer/spelling. (and mine's v far from perfect)

lou - hey how's DP & the kids now?

ninah/eve/sin waves

betty/sponge belated birthday wishes from me as well.

sponge soooo glad EX has gone for you.

juicy - how's you doin? oh and also it's 2 months he's away for in the USA, so not a few weeks - and has asked if I can tax his car whilst he's out there. lol.

better run & get ready for work, hope everyone else is OK thou. 2 more sleeps YAY! plus he had signal last night so loads of texts/long call YAY!

kdk · 19/05/2010 10:23

hi belle

still here I'm afraid ... I decided on reflection that I was worried I would only let down someone with such a towering intellect, as shown by his amazing grasp of the English language so have sadly let him go forth to find a partner who can share more equally his interests - also he was an absolute munter! I hope you noted his willingness to have more children on top of the six he already has. The mind boggles, gives up and goes into retirement!

passmyglassplease · 19/05/2010 11:29

right then its dinner at montys and kdk is bringing along her new intellectual beau

I am entering the glamorous step granny contest, which of course I wont win as it will be being judged by hugh heffner and lets face it I am way to old for him !

by the way the grand dad thing was not mentioned on his profile (as in marathon man), kept that quite for a bit

and the thread is going to turn into cooking advice tips for the old timers like asbm, lou and me

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 19/05/2010 11:35
mrsmharket · 19/05/2010 11:55

morning

betty - i agree with sponge about the thoughtfulness of gifts, much nicer than a bunch of garage flowers

belle - flirting at the gym and that soldier's a cheeky sod asking you to tax his car as well

lou - yay at mechanic being dp now how are dp/dc today? that puppy sounds really sweet at waking ds up

monty - i agree that money doesn't equal happiness, had more money when with ex me and dd are so much happier now

sponge - YAY!!! am so glad for you that x has gone, happy belated birthday by the way

asbm - at your words for that poster who's mysteriously dissappeared

mrsmharket · 19/05/2010 12:08

oops! my time ran out on the library pc sorry

kdk - that link was for you when you'd mentioned about celebrating with glasses/bottles/buckets how about a whole champagne cellar?

scl - you don't need a slap sweetheart good onyour ds telling his dad to shut up

how is everyone this morning, hope you're all ok

sincitylover · 19/05/2010 16:41

Monty - rose makes me have bad hangover so I rarely drink it. White or red for me or pear cider.

Mrs MH - I prob do need one but thanks for saying I don't.
No-one has ever got to me like he has.

chaging subject slightly probs with school and ds1 (nearly 14) don't wnt to post in education as might get flamed - on recent school trip allegedly he broke a bed - he claims he sat on it only - he is a lightweight only about 6 stone - so must havae been crap bed or already broken - teachers have been ringing asking us to pay up for a new bed. Mine and exh's stance has been no way are we paying - the trip cost enough plus we received nothing in writing prior about insurance or anything else. How do we know what the bed was like to start with - the hotel was a bit crap by all accounts.

DS1 has also been told by a teacher that he will never go on another school trip if we don't pay up. If we do eventually cave in then exh will have to pay as i don't have any spare cash.

Also issues with DS1 behaviour in school he is g&t in some subjects but seems to have a prob in another class have had two calls from a rather hyperactive sounding teacher saying he's a lunatic (tbh the teacher sounds like he is projecting) and he would be hp never to teach him again. Fair enough that's his opinion but think if I were a teacher I would be a bit more tempered in my convos with parents. DS1 is challenging but would not have used that word to describe him.

Not sure what to do - will be going into school to see them.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 19/05/2010 16:46

scl WTF????

sincitylover · 19/05/2010 16:54

do you think it's all a bit bizarre - I know he is my son and I am biased but...

Anyway his tutor has just rung and I am going into see his tutor tomorrow morning. (he won't be dealing with the bed issue though).

aseriouslyblondemoment · 19/05/2010 17:04

scl you've every right to be bloody furious i think we all would be...dare i ask have you mentioned it to your exh?
and as for the bed they should be extremely grateful that ds didn't hurt himself and what on earth are they doing taking kids to some dive for a trip?
and yes it's apparent that the extortionate costs of these so-called trips is mostly insurance related so i think that school/LEA should pick up the tab
disgusted that teachers have actually told your son that he will be excluded from any future trips unless you cough up,if they have probs their first point of contact is you!
please tell me that this wasn't said to him with other kids present?

ninah · 19/05/2010 17:04

scl is def not on to call ds a lunatic!
make appt to see head

Betty79 · 19/05/2010 18:56

ninah and monty-shushhh no marital sofa here just yet! although I am going to try out his sofa (sitting on it of course ) on friday, and I saw him yesterday , I think I might have to jump him soon tho if he doesnt make a move

juice-what have u been up to lol?

sponge-Yay to ex moving out! Def party time, and how sweet of ds

asbm-I was tryin my hardest not to bite at those comments, but glad you did!

belle-where are u going with soldier at weekend?

scl-I think those comments from school are def not on, agree with others go to the head if you have to! Whether your ds is hard to manage or not it doesnt excuse them talking to you like that!

kdk-I think u protest too much lol

hi anyone else ive missed, had a loooong day today on training, was good but am soo tired now! Praying the weather holds out this weekend otherwise dc's wont be camping with their dad and my plans will be messed up

thesouthsbelle · 19/05/2010 19:14

lol @ kdk & pmg.

how are you gals today?

betty - we're off to bournemouth, the weather's looking good, got some new white 3/4 lenght trousers, and an animal string top I brought & forgot about so it's all good. The weather is looking positive so what are your plans then any dates?

sin - how dare they, i'd go straight to the head and if you have no joy the governors with that. totally unprofessional not to mention out of order, I only hope your DS didn't hear it.

mrsm - hi, how's things with you, any dates or emailing pinging back & forth? (I don't mind- he's said I can drive it & is leaving the cash so it's ok just a bit cheeky thou)

2 more sleeps!!! YAY!

Betty79 · 19/05/2010 19:31

belle-I love bournemouth! Are u staying over in a hotel then? I need a dirty weekend away I think lol

I'm meant to be going to boilerman's house on friday night cos he has his dd (am going when she is in bed) and then I'm off with the girls sat afternoon/night to blackpool for my birthday, think I might be say to boilerman I might make my way to his on the way back or meet up with him if he's out
