Just out of interest really, my dd is nearly 3 and I get £30 per week. And exp will pay for clothes etc when I tell him what she needs.

He has only recently started paying and I am finding from this amount of money I feel so much better off.

£860/month for DD. My ex was a s**t in so many, many ways but he has stuck to the financial deal we made between us and it was written into the divorce settlement. He earns a lot so it's only 18% of his net salary but he does have to pay it until DD leaves Uni. I can't imagine his new wife thinks much of it but since she was the OW then I don't have a lot of sympathy. He also has to (I insisted this was written into divorce papers) show me a copy of his P60 every year so I can check his calculation for the next 12 months - always makes me smile when he does this! I never ask him for anything else although he does buy shoes, clothes and stuff for her off his own bat. This makes him sound really kind and thoughtful but he never cared about money ("I earn a lot, I spend a lot") so it really isn't an issue to him.

I know how incredibly lucky I am but I still work full time - would go mad otherwise! I hadn't appreciated until I read some of these posts how many ex's pay nothing at all!

nothing. not a bean.

fed up with the Lone Parent Obligation, that means PWC is 'strongly encouraged' to get a job, but it's still socially acceptable for NRPs to walk away from their responsibilities. it's seen as a laugh - as being clever to avoid paying maintenance. that's a campaign that should be run by MN - 'real men* support their children'

yes, i know NRPs are both male and female, but the vast majority are* men.
