fifty year old alcoholic juice

Remotew · 14/04/2010 13:21

'Meet' Market might not have been a spelling mistake. Shame about the date Belle but you have other options open.

I work in the nearest largish town 10 miles away, he had an early meeting so asked for a lift in. It's not a regular thing.

thesouthsbelle · 14/04/2010 13:24

oolh not good lou.

eve - I think he ment meet as in meet & greet - he'd already said before if we do the first date get on then he doesn't usually look for others after that. sit tight & learn patience right?

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 14/04/2010 13:48

belle - i think considering what has been said... he has said he is off the market. not going on any more dates... and if you have checked to see if he has been online?.. wouldn't hurt you not to go on any dates for couple of weeks. yes... just sit tight. afterall... isn't doing you any harm to spend 2 weeks without dating anyone else till you meet him again.

lou - aaaah perfect catch. . lol.

eve - of course not.. would be terrible to view a nice arse regular

kdk · 14/04/2010 14:25

Hi all

hope dentist was okay - fillings ouch!

been having an interesting morning trying to write a reflective practice journal (no, me neither ...) and playing silly question game with Bluebeard (remember him, the one with all the wives ...) Don't think I can take him terribly seriously but might be good for a laugh - am thinking of letting him take me out for dinner if he offers ... but have warned him will not be happy if he has told porkies about smoking! Yes, I KNOW I had one the other night and my chest has only just forgiven me ...

Also thinking about meeting Shorty for a coffee sometime ... just got to find a sitter or wait till kids go back to school and try to find a couple of spare hours in the day ...

Back to the grindstone, catch you all later.

And want to know - who has stolen our sunshine?

Monty100 · 14/04/2010 14:54

Lou - how was dentist?

at bag and sunglasses, are there any talents this man doesn't have?

SCL - sympathy on the work front, had a crap day yesterday, bit of a disaster, caused me a load of work and stress grrr. Glad you've seen the back of Mr Yorke . I'm looking at B R 3.

Eve - at lovely arse.

Kdk - get on that date. Sun has certainly gone all shy again, it's freezing!

ASBM - mailed you.

Sponge - when is your date?

Hi Ninah, Juice, SM, Pink, Pirate, PMG, et al.

Oh, you know I was saying I have to use Explorer to log on and lost that long post on Saturday morning, I thought I was going nuts but if anyone else has had problems take comfort in this.

Monty100 · 14/04/2010 14:56

Juice - I think Optician prob wears ring to keep cougars like me at bay .

lou33 · 14/04/2010 15:52

my face in numb and it was traumatic and they couldnt finish it so i have to go back

bf otoh has just informed me that he is buying me a much coveted piece of clothing from superdry this week, though i have said no as he has got me enough already recently

(he sold some stuff on ebay for a good sum)

apparently we will be falling out over my refusal when i see him this evening

Remotew · 14/04/2010 16:24

Lou, you need another treat after the dentist ouch! What's superdry?

Kdk, me thinks you are intriqued by this Bluebeard. Get a date fixed up and oh you hyprocrite wrt the smoking . Work mates call me fag ash lil but on a night out they are nicking them out my packet.

lou33 · 14/04/2010 16:42

this is what i want eve

the dentist couldnt finish my treatment because even after a face full of injections i could still feel it

she says there is something not right that the x ray isnt showing, so has done a temp job for now and wants me to go back in a couple of months to try again, but i may just ask her to take it out, as every time i have a problem with this tooth (and it is usually this one), the same thing happens

she fixed my other old filling though on the second attempt

i dont know how women have botox, i cant feel the bottom half of my face still, or blow the hair out of my eyes

kdk · 14/04/2010 17:07

I so want that top - like lots of their stuff tbh but not nearly thin enough so both at being a skinny minny and having generous boyfriend

kdk · 14/04/2010 17:08

lol at eve - I don't think one fag in, let me see, 23 months is that bad!

thesouthsbelle · 14/04/2010 17:21

juicy - yeah guess so, suppose he's worth a bit of a wait - and well he did ring again today 2 days on the trott - steady on lol.

kdk - date with mr poker eh? be careful - but I guess lunch won't hurt will it. lol. shorty - i'm guessing that bluebeard is holding your attention more atm? (and we've pinched your sun btw)

lou - OUCH!!! rather you than me totally with the dentist - hope BF is pampering you loads now as a result.

hi monty how's you over there?

ho hum..... off to body attack.

dignified · 14/04/2010 17:28

Betty , googleguy ,whats the job ?

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 14/04/2010 17:30

lou - what kind of anaes do they use? i can still feel everything with the normal ones they offer.. my dentist now knows to go straight in with the ones he calls "beta's"... its in a great bloody silver needle like you see in the old carry on films. my whole face and neck is numb. droppy eye's , spitting and slevering.. lol.. and i can still feel it a bit. but it's bearable. he get about 15 mins work before it wears off to the extent i cant take the drilling. so he's learned to do all drilling first. then fill/fix once it's wearing off as i can hack that pain.

is it similar feeling? do you get a choice of anaes?

he's always a little worried about the size of the dose he has to give me. and i do get side effects once it starts wearing off... uncontrollable shakes, hot/cold flushes, really sleepy.

belle - 2 phone calls

lou33 · 14/04/2010 17:52

Juice this is a new dentist. For the last seven years I havent been able to find one that was taking on nhs patients. She was good but I think I am the same as you wrt feeling it.

Bf is not here cos he is working late so at his mums, but have spoken to him

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 14/04/2010 17:57

oh i cant get nhs here either. and even when you do they will only give you dodgy silver fillings ...

i ... have convieniently forgot to tell the dentist me and exp are no longer together and me and dc still get covered under his montly plan

lou33 · 14/04/2010 19:15

yep i have to pay for non dodgy fillings

so i stayed dodgy

i also have to pay if i want to see a hygienist (£48), so thats not happening anytime soon

i think i will just have this bastard tooth removed when i go back instead of yet again suffering another dentist causing me pain and perplexed as to why it hurts when they say it shouldnt be

its a back tooth so i shouldnt have too much of a gappy smile

i dont blame you for not telling them tbh, it's shit finding an nhs dentist

btw i told bf i would rather use the money on petrol this weekend instead of a hoodie, as we have a lot of traipsing about to do

i think he may have fainted as i havent heard from him in about an hour

SingleMum01 · 14/04/2010 20:45

Lou - love the hoody, lucky you

We have lots of nhs dentists here. I prefer to have fillings without injections - I think that's the worst bit, the injecting plus the wearing off after. I'm just hardcore for the pain!!

KDK - how shorty is shorty??

Belle - calls 2 days in a row

I'm seeing older bloke for lunch Friday and Sunday evening - have decided to go out and not cook as can get a sitter

aseriouslyblondemoment · 14/04/2010 21:14

monty will mail you back
am v at kdk after all your anti-smoking talk
sm01 hark @ you and your 2 lunch dates

OP posts:
kdk · 14/04/2010 21:51

Hi SM - shorty is 5' 5" - which is .5" shorter than me!

And ASBM - that's one reason I am so much of an anti-smoker - because I would find it very easy to start again - it's how I started again about three and a half years ago when I was going out with a smoker!

Have to say though that it tasted disgusting and I have no urge atm to repeat!

Monty100 · 14/04/2010 22:09

Evening all

SM - you caved and decided not to cook! lol. You have to start some time ya know.

ASBM - cheers, another epistle I'm afraid.

Kdk - have you got the date tho????

Lou - eeergh I'm terrified of dentists. The last time I went, about two years ago nearly I think, I paid a Harley St dentist to do a deep clean and one filling under sedation lol. Was ££££ but I reckon it was outweighed by the fact I hadn't been for about 10 years before that . Am petrified. Would love to get loads of work done but...no. Well if I could afford it I'd go back there and get the lot veneered I think.

Belle - big wave. I'm ok. Haven't forgiven but bearing up.

Well, the news here is that dp's lodgers have moved in!

Hi everyone else, hope all is well.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 14/04/2010 22:26

kdk must have been the vino lol

OP posts:
DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 14/04/2010 23:03

monty - whats the lodgers like

sm - dont blame you on eating out. getting a sitter is so rare its worth escaping.

lou - did you go pick him off the floor yet?

kdk - i'm same with the smoking. smoke ALOT more when with smoker than non smoker.

i'm just back from seeing motorola... met his folks ... they were rather lovely. his dad is spitting image as my friends dad.. and has same name... i did a double take as i thought it was same person and blurted "oh i thought you were another i know" .. then had to explain myself.

why can i not just say normal things

Monty100 · 14/04/2010 23:14

Juice - lol at blurting out about same name. At least you didn't trip over or anything. Did you? .

Don't know what lodgers are like, I helped dp on Sunday and I haven't been there since and prob won't be for a very long time. Unless the curiosity gets the better of me and I have to go have a look, in which case I'll fill you in lol. One will go 'home' to his wife every weekend, he's about 40 app and the other is younger from Estonia but looks Finnish (mmmmmmmmmm) apparently .
They will be there for 6 months so they've said.
