sorry bit late re everything - lou dds birthday sounds great loved that cake btw

on the subject of diy i need someone to put a blind up - know it's not hard in fact ds1 and I might try to do it.

Eve sorry about athletic - not a nice feeling when they do that esp if they don't let you know

kdk · 12/04/2010 15:38

Hi all - just place marking

Lou - dd's birthday sounded like a good crack - hope she enjoyed herself - did she get her first legal hangover?

Have been exchanging messages with short guy on DfP as well as Bluebeard who I keep missing online ... am dithering whether to give him my phone number ... keep wanting to ask him whether he's looking for wife number 4 in which case I'll take myself off the list thanks very much! But might be up for a sh*g if logistically possible with 5 at home kids between us!

lou33 · 12/04/2010 16:21

she did enjoy herself, and judging by the time she got up, i think she v definitely had a hangover, though am not sure how badly

ninah · 12/04/2010 17:25

scl it's not that easy
way beyond my skills, let me know if you have any success
nm/ex did mine
pure prostitution, cash would no doubt be less costly in the long run

Remotew · 12/04/2010 18:55

Sat out in the sun all afternoon with a cold beer and feel awful now. Think I've got sunstroke. lol

Yes he turned up eventually!!!

Not happy.

Monty100 · 12/04/2010 19:18

SCL/Ninah - I have never drilled anything in my entire life!

Eve - how did you handle Athletic?

Shattered after day's shopping. DD came as well. We were only down the street when they started taking the mick out of my driving. . Little toerags angels, not. Was going to take them out for tea but had enough was shattered by then. Spent far too much money . Couldn't get ds' shoes in TKMax so got them in a skateboard shop £££ but made ds phone his df and ask him to go halfs which he agreed .

Drove past that house again, I'm thinking rabbit hutch inside.

SingleMum01 · 12/04/2010 19:28

Eve - but was he worth it??!!

Lou - can you give me the lasagne recipe - it needs to be in very simple terms in case there's nothing in M & S when I get chance to go on Thurs.

Met Fairy15 at the park this afternoon, had a lovely time.

I was determined not to text older bloke and let him do a bit of chasing after last week, he text at lunchtime

lou33 · 12/04/2010 20:22

I would just make it the same as a bolognese, omitting the carrots if you normally add them.

In a shallow oven proof dish place a layer of lasagne sheets, followed by a layer of the meat sauce and on top of that some ready made made white sauce for lasagne. Repeat until the meat sauces are used up then add grated cheese and put in the oven at about 200 for approx 35 til the cheese is brown and bubbling.

Tbh I dont layer the white sauce I just put it on top before the cheese which I prefer. Pic on my fb under the food album to show what the finished result should look like.
Leave it for about ten mins when cooked before serving, which makes it easier to slice and serve

SingleMum01 · 12/04/2010 20:50

Lou - to make bol sauce I use minced beef and a jar of dolmio. Would that work okay? This is a thick question but white sauce I was thinking was Colmans packet white sauce - am I wrong???!!! I said I was a crap cook!

Monty100 · 12/04/2010 21:10

SM01 - I'd use a jar of white sauce instead of messing around with the powder, you're as quick doing it yourself as using powder I think. Anyway here's an easy recipe just substitute the bechamel sauce with a jar of Dolmio white sauce and sprinkle cheese on the top.

Lou your photo is very professional! Looks lovely.

Betty79 · 12/04/2010 21:31

Hi ladies, well date with fireman was nice but just that....nice not sure if it's me or them im just not feelin it with any of these blokes ive met lol he was a nice bloke there just wasnt any 'spark' although he did have the most gorgeous colour eyes ever but still that was not enough for me lol and anyway havent heard from him so guessing he wasnt feeling it either ha ha

have been talking to 2 others tho on pof, one of which has already asked to meet so next lol

SM01-I'd cheat and get a really nice posh sauce to make it with lol

lou-glad dd had a great birthday

eve-so athletic turned up then

monty-sounds like you had a busy expensive day lol

hi everyone else, kids are back to school tommorow so must go get stuff ready!

lou33 · 12/04/2010 21:45

Use a jar of dolmio white sauce for lasagne. I would add onions and mushrooms as well to the mince and a tomato sauce.

And thank you for the compliment. I just took it with my phone camera

sincitylover · 12/04/2010 21:57

dolmio rocks

my spag bog tastes better with it

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 12/04/2010 22:13

monty - shopping sounds stressful not something i say often

eve - expand.. why aren't you happt

lou - dd birthday sounds fab. glad she enjoyed herself.... and... yes you must finish booze now you've finished cake

sm01 - buy those fresh pasta sheets from chilled counter rather than dried and they cook quicker and more evenly. and they are easier to make fit your dish as you can cut them with the scissors.

betty - nice dates can be great way to build your confidence dating... hold out for one that has that little extra something you just cant put your finger on that makes you want to jump them

so... motorola came over, cut branches off my plum and apples trees who are getting carried away in my back garden.... i'm beginning to see the bonus's behind a man who's eager to help.

ninah - i put all my blinds in this house myself

i dont need a bloke to do this stuff.. but it's nice to be offered a helping hand.

oh... and forces has finally resurfaced to apologise and ask for friendship... it has been met with lots of faces.

hatesponge · 12/04/2010 23:24

juice - cant believe forces has suddenly reappeared wanting to be friends! a very definite to him....good though that motorola is giving you a hand with garden!

betty - juice is right (as always lol) the spark will come along eventually, I haven't had it either yet tbh, still hoping though!

however I do seem to have now got myself a date with a 26 year old. am a mixture of and

lou33 · 13/04/2010 05:41

Woohoo! Have fun :-)
Juice I love the fact bf wants to help out. When he came to see me yesterday he ended up cutting back a hedge that was blocking light from my bedroom window, and clearing the moss from my guttering!

Plus he bought me a pink leather guess handbag :-)

He did get fed with irish stew tho lol

Remotew · 13/04/2010 09:37

Come on, I can even make white sauce/lasagne and that's saying something.

Berry, shame no spark.

Will expand, he was meant to be spending time with me but slept most the day so called round for an hour. We had a coffee, chat then he had to go to work. It was boiling hot he was wearing shorts/flip flops and looked soooo young, which he is. Really think this could only be an Autumn/spring friendship.

lou33 · 13/04/2010 10:00

the white sauces in jars are fine for lasagne , esp if you are not confident about cooking and have someone for dinner

have it with some salad and crusty bread

i made irish stew last night

not sure what to do for dinner today

Remotew · 13/04/2010 12:00

Berry I meant Betty, that's what happens when I mnet at work.

Juice had to at Forces. Guess he didn't realise that you don't let the grass grow under your feet.

Lou you are putting me to shame being such a domestic goddess.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 13/04/2010 12:04

lololol thought i'd gone onto the recipes forum by mistake
def agree that jar sauces are better than colmans packets
i do cook completely from scratch tho

i have to add that if i didn't feeding my hungry trio would be even more expensive!
saying that i do enjoy cooking as it means that i can lock myself away from them..
lou i made toad in the hole with onion gravy last night, but i expect you've served this recently, will be doing a chicken bake tonight

OP posts:
DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 13/04/2010 12:27

i think jars are better. packets always have that kind of powdery texture i think.

we just had hollumi and bacon sandwhiches [slevering emoticon]

eve - he tried steering the convo towards discussing "us".. which i tactfully steered away. have been making excuses not to chat to him on msn if he does pop up. toying with idea of blocking him. he doesn't know i'm seeing anyone else.

althletic ... so... you need even managed some daytime fun?? what is the point in that then for a toyboy?? just so you can give him free lifts to work? he's taking liberties there

i ... ahem ... have a bf. was asked formally... i gratiously agreed

lou - seen handbag on fb. looked nice

aseriouslyblondemoment · 13/04/2010 13:05

my my the grass doesn't grow under your feet does it juicy
am loving the idea of eve and her young man tho
we haven't had any of those on here for a while!!
actually ladies whilst i'm here hating loving the easter break was just thinking about all the funniest and creepiest chat-up lines i've ever heard...think we should start a top ten...!!
my contribution is..'how do you like your eggs in the morning?....boiled,fried,scrambled or fertilised...'

Remotew · 13/04/2010 13:08

Congrats Juicy, very pleased for you, he sounds a keeper.

Of course Athletic is taking liberties, I know that. Will only go so far though, I'm not that desperate.

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 13/04/2010 13:22

asbm - ah... you know me. i will have found a reason to dump him in a week or so.

i cant think of any really bad chat up lines?must try harder.

eve - yes.. fed up.. not hard up as asbm says

aseriouslyblondemoment · 13/04/2010 14:03

juicy you're so fickle lol
eve have you been for your outing on salesman's bike yet?
