Lou - ring sounds interesting! I want to see the puppy and bf pics - what's your name on fb?

lou33 · 06/04/2010 18:57

you can just click my mn profile and see them, but i am on some of the fb of the lovely ladies here, first name starts with my name on here, last name begins with an h

Monty100 · 06/04/2010 19:13

Lou - I'm intrigued. Oops, have been calling Dora a cross between her name and Boris. lol

I've lost a diamond ring. Bit of a mystery, I think I put it somewhere 'safe' as you do. (but I still haven't come across it, and it was last August when I was going on holiday that I realised I didn't know where it was, so I'd call that a 'lost' lol).

Eve - he had lodgers before and was very generous to me and dcs with sharing the rent. And yes, he is in for the long haul. I'm just truly miffed at the way he has done it. I really don't like being told how it is without any discussion. I feel he thinks he can call the shots. He then patronised me by saying 'we can have a lovely holiday......'

I've calmed down a good bit now and I've eaten which has helped. I'm going to have a bath, get in my jammies, curl up, and have a couple of beers. (Staying away from the wine for now lol).

Kdk - you'll stick out like a sore thumb then. lol

Sponge - are you away this week? Hope you can still make Friday. Are you better??

Juice - that swimsuit sounds erm, yes well, agree with Eve Bridget Jones-ish lol.

SCL - what have you got planned for this evening?

Hi Belle, Pirate, SM and everyone.

Hope Ninah made it to Ireland ok.

I'm quite excited about Friday. Should be interesting.

Lou next time you're coming up we'll deffo have a little meet up with you hopefully.

SingleMum01 · 06/04/2010 19:26

Lou - I don't know anyones fb But looked at the pics on mn - gorgeous!

thesouthsbelle · 06/04/2010 20:11

hi all,

we've been busy chatting.

monty - sorry to hear about DP's lack of consideration - have you been with him long? (my memory is shocking atm)

lou - lol @ the ring, so what sort of a thing was this ring then - should we be buying hats yet?

juciy - have you heard from him? remember allt he advice you used to give me about GB as well - he was a yes no yes no sort - idiots the lot of em.

(just gonna have a look at the rest of what i've missed)

thesouthsbelle · 06/04/2010 20:20

awww single mum - feel free to add me, I think I can be found on there - tinkerbellbarker @ hotmail.com

you guys all look like you're all set for a good night on the tiles.

kdk - good luck writing your reflection essay, did you get out with the kids?

juicy - glad you've got another date lined up.

sin, eve, blondie (where is young blondie atm?) big waves.

hope you're all ok.

I have another one i'm talking to who has potential - shall call him... erm... planner... seems nice enough have a few warning flags popping up (mostly the whole gymboy's job was the same for a start) still talking with farmer - few extra warning flags going up with him as well. but roll on sat i say.

Ooooh also got my first assessment thru for the uni today for 3 weeks time - eek!

lou33 · 06/04/2010 20:41

he is still saying he knows nothing about it, but did (jokingly i would say) slip it on my finger and ask me to marry him

i have said i now need to change my relationship status on facebook to engaged, but he seems to be unable to find the option to confirm it , hehe

i have found it all highly amusing, especially when he was on one knee fixing his mountain bike, and i said awww look guys he was waiting for you all to be here to propose

Monty100 · 06/04/2010 20:50

Hi Belle - keeping busy then eh?

SM - will look out for you on Belle's fb, can you give me a clue though?

Lou - but what is the ring forrrrrrr????

hatesponge · 06/04/2010 21:30

hi all, feeling fully recovered today (poor DS1 has got the bug now though although he is being very brave & sensible in my absence!) so very much looking forward to wine o'clock on Friday

I am away this week but come back Thurs night so fine for going out on Fri! Hurray...cant believe after all this time we have actually arranged it! Now I just have to worry about what to wear and whether or not you will like me - bloody hell, this is like going on a date

lou33 · 06/04/2010 21:36

he swears it isnt his!

tho he did say to me he would buy me a ring, then added hastily of course it wouldnt be an engagement one lol, teehee etc

oh man i have had so much fun at his expense from this!

kdk · 06/04/2010 21:38

Don't worry about clothes Sponge - just do like me and wear Friday's papers ...

Actually, being serious now, what DO you wear for a meet-up with people you've never met IRL? Smart, casual, smart-casual?? Should we post on Style and Beauty?

Monty100 · 06/04/2010 21:57

Lou - I just don't geddit. A ring appears, in the washing machine where his jacket has been washed, it's not for you and he knows nothing of it.

Londoners - shall we all agree to dress down lol. We don't have a dress code at work so I can wear what I like, we wear suits for meetings etc but this week is quiet due to hols so it'll be very casual. Might have to wear lippie tho! lol . Oh it'll be a laff.

pinksmarties · 06/04/2010 23:03

Hi all, I'm still lurking, only part time though as I've recently decided that I don't want/need a man even if he is "fit, interesting and available", because he will almost inevitably morf into a twunt.

I'm feeling much more positive lately and am even enjoying all the perks of being single.

Been on the dating sites and realised that there's not much out there for me.

Anyway without further addoo (?) can I come too on Friday ??

I'd LOVE to meet you all.

Monty100 · 06/04/2010 23:12

Pink! I meant to mention you earlier. Brilliant. Wasn't there another Londoner? I'll email passmyglass.

Yay.

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 06/04/2010 23:39

oooh your meet up sounds fab.

pink - glad your in a good place. thats a great place to be in.

monty - hope dp makes up for his twuntery.

belle - yes.. i am heeding my own advice i gave you. i'm not being messed around again even if he does come a begging. once my mind is made up on these type of issues there is no turning it back again.

swimming tomorrow with big ducks has been changed to lunch after we realised it was school easter hols and the pool would be packet with kiddiwinkles.

just back from my date with mr motorola.

did anyone remember what irish looked like... same idea. very tall. good looking, short neat hair in a good style.

gentleman. didn't make any move except a peck on cheek. came home and he has already asked me to go on another date with him friday when i'm childfree.

get this for a date... coffee at starbucks.. wander round hobbycraft laughing at "little dyed bushes" they have for the model railway tracks ... then couple of games of pool.

at least i have something to take my mind off forces. soh bandwagon should be very easy.

Monty100 · 06/04/2010 23:58

Juice - you're a star! Where did Mr Motorola spring from? Missed something there.

I remember what Irish looks like. mmmmmm! Do you hear from him these days?

I take my fascinator off to you.

Betty - be v careful, your crown will drop now Juice is back out there.

lou33 · 07/04/2010 08:43

Honestly the ring thing is a mystery. It looks cheap and nasty anyway. Was funny last night tho. I like the sound of your date juice.

I guess I should get up and get the car serviced, sigh. . .

As for what to wear go in what you feel ok in.

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 07/04/2010 09:25

i think you should all agree to have some of this daft animal print thats in fashion at the moment. just for the giggles. you can go as far as top to toe dress... or just a little hair clip accessory if the thought gives you panic attacks.

i'd love to see the photo's of you all with you peopard print scarves/tops/bags.

go out and show the animal in you

excuse me ladies. the suns out here. lol. send me a bit loopy.

monty - yes.. i still hear from irish all time. we very nearly ended up on the lash last wkd, but my food poisonin stopped that. he's got himself an even more swish job than the already impressive one he had. starts in few weeks, i'm planning on a night out to celebrate with him as he has a weeks piss up holiday between jobs.

motorola was from pof. only got talking to him on monday, but when we msn'd we did webcam instead.. and i thought phwoooar this is worth keeping my baby sitter i had booked that was supposed to be for seeing forces.

oh and forgot to tell you. i slipped and nearly fell TWICE on my date yesterday.on the only wet patch i think there was in whole shopping precinct

then... when in the hobbycraft i knocked over a stack of boxes of little stone walls. i mean i swung my bag, clipped the corner of the stack and the whole thing tumbled down...

maybe this is the secret to a successful date... damsel in distress.

mind you.... by the time i was going back to the car he decided it would be safer just to hold my arm so he could catch me if i fell and steer me away from stacks of merchandise

right.. best get myself organised.

dc are going to the zoo or something with their dad and his new gf as he's off to thai this wkd. have met new gf a few times now. we all went to shopping centre other day

she seems .. em.. nice actually.

then i'm off to go for lunch with big ducks i think. just waiting on him msning me with his postcode again (remmeber... big ducks has some weird allergic reactions to his phone. even if i text the weirdo he will wait till i come on msn to reply.... think his allergic reaction is also known as.... being tight )

lou33 · 07/04/2010 11:09

you seem very upbeat and have lots of things planned

i reckon all you women should wear animal fascinators, what do you think juice?

Monty100 · 07/04/2010 11:17

Lol at you two. I have an animal print scarf and belt.

Juice - you sound as though you're doing very well. (You seem to be very good at moving on). I hope Forces is upset. Hope it goes well today. Be careful you don't fall over. lol

Well, I've picked myself up and dusted myself down too. But am still . He phoned last night and dropped me to station this morning. More . What is amazing me is the pace at which he is organising two rooms for the lodgers, yet when it was to do with us moving in, it was like watching paint dry.

mrsmharket · 07/04/2010 12:21

monty sorry he being such a prat

and very sorry i keep havingto read reams of the thread to catch up lol will have to bring a notebook with me next time to remember everything

x being complete prat again. he was supposed to have dd all this week but at 7 last night decided to tell me he was actually in work today and tomorrow (from half 2pm) and had already asked his dad and aunt to look after dd - apparently his solicitor had already said it was ok for other people to look after her when he went to work - excuse me but i thought the point of him applying for court order was for him to look after dd, not other people??? i then found out he hadn't todl his sol that his dad was over 70 and that his aunt was very disabled and can't walk very far at all - howtf are hey supposed to cope with active 5year old for 7 hours on two consecutive days? not fair on anyone. least of all dd. so now i'm, picking her up early, in about an hour, good job i haven't gone to my dgd.

am sorry for rant am so and i promise i will bring anotebook with me on friday

mrsmharket · 07/04/2010 12:24

have just seen a dating site called moms(or mums date dads, has anyone heard of this one and does it attract all the usual dross suspects male profiles?

Monty100 · 07/04/2010 12:39

MrsM - you probably guessed I'm not a happy bunny (no pun intended). And grrr at your exp. Good for you going to get dd.

What's happening with neighbour ? Don't know that dating site at all.

lou33 · 07/04/2010 13:08

not heard of it before

have you thought about maybe telling the solicitor that the people he intends to leave your dc with are unsuitable?

i think i would refuse to send them in that case

lou33 · 07/04/2010 13:10

oh i see you are off to get her, well done
